Wao this video is getting views at a rate unprecedented to my others, even at 4 am! (I am going to bed now, no worries), thanks for checking me out guys! I plan to release a full review and analysis of downpour in the coming weeks, really happy that rainworld is getting the recognition it deserves :)
@@Nuko7 That's about right! For instance, since it is PC only atm, you can each plug in a controller. Steam remote play allows you to simulate this with online friends too.
@@RoosterW Wonder If you can give spearmaster's Spears to others without the weird string thing severing, because i think the string is How spearmaster gets the food pips and explosive Spears do take a bit before blowing up.
@@thejuggercat you actually can if they manage to catch it before it touches the ground (have had it happen a few times when an artificer did the parry explosion to knock the spears out of my hands and then immediately grabbed one), though there's also a mod that just makes the string stay connected whenever you set them down.
The collective IQ of a group decreases significantly with each individual in said group as we can see clearly from this video Otherwise this was very funny
By the way you can do co-op in the dlc slug cat campaigns by adding a txt file called garrito_feature in your streaming assets folder it’s experimental so it may crash but it allows co-op for all campaigns
So the only way to play rainworld online with others is through steam remote play, which essentially streams your screen to other players and takes input from their controllers and puts it into your computer. It's a bit buggy and obviously latency is an issue if your internet isn't that great, but in general we didn't have too bad of an issue :)
Wonderful editing XD. Jolly coop is not so jolly anymore 👁👁💫✨. Love this a ton, very entertaining XD! Fantastic work ^^💝💕! Also yoo using Downpour music hehe, Triptrap goes haarrdddddd
Sorry if it's a dumb question but how are you guys using the new slugcats in coop mode? My friend and i tried but we were only able to use the base slugcats for jolly coop.
I'm not 100% on this but I know you have to have the slugcats unlocked. I'm sorry I'm not able to give much better advice, we were just able to select the downpour slugs, I'm not sure if I did anything special to allow that.
i've been thinking about getting this dlc. how does cycle time and food work in coop? the rivulet has lower cycle times and they all require different amounts of food. also since this is local coop (with steam remote play tgoether from what i've found), how does moving between screens work? it looks like moving through pipes just has you wait until everyone is in the pipe, but like at 2:50, if you fall offscreen, are you just not able to see where you are? how do you set who has the camera? what about respawning? anyway this video was amazing :)
Hiya! Thanks for the kind words :) Co-op has a couple of weird quirks, you can only play the campaign as the original three slugcats, kinda. Essentially all selecting the "campaign" does is determine how much food you need to get, enemy spawns and behavior, etc. In this video we were playing on the survivor campaign, so we only needed to get 4 food, and the spawns were the exact same as if you were playing regular single player. Each player has a button that swaps the camera over to them, if they need it, which can get frustrating without communication. There are three different difficulty modes, easy means that only one slugcat needs to reach the shelter to survive, and all players respawn at the next cycle. Normal means that all slugcats need to reach the shelter, meaning if your friend dies you need to grab their corpse and drag it to the shelter. Hard means that every player needs to make it to the shelter alive and well!
@@astralwyzard thanks for the clarifications :) although manual camera switching can lead to funny shenanigans like 5:24, i do hope they add a true online mode where everyone gets their own camera. i think that's what most people wanted and having both options would be great

Powerdirector. It's a lot simpler than software like premier or Sony Vegas but I prefer it because of that. Doesn't require me to have a master's in fucking around and finding out to move a bit of text a couple pixels over.

Theres a character that makes infinite Spears, and another that can make Spears explosive, so im surprised by the lack of explosions.
especially when food isnt an issue with a spearmaster

I tried to not use many explosives due to me ending up getting everyone killed in one way or another...
Taco died to friendly fire twice in the span of 5 minutes so explosives got toned down a bit .)
