Im gonna be honest, gourmand’s campaign was the one that made me the most emotional because i felt like outer expanse was supposed to pose a stark contrast to the dark and industrial insides of the facility grounds, and gave me this super surreal where the wild things are vibe. Also the music is just… damn. daze, open skies, and wandering cut all give this sense of joy, freedom, in a very primal way. Gourmand doesnt have any huge goals, but his story felt so much more relatable than the others.

1:05:07 I’m pretty sure they meant that the battle wasn’t cannon, but the actually ascension probably was. at least that’s what I got from it, it wouldn’t make sense lore wise if there was just another triple affirmative just chilling (sliver of straw may have just made saint, called out the triple affirmative, then had saint ascend sliver of straw then just let him run loose lmao)
