It's one of the best universities in Korea. It's also the oldest university in Kore too.
This is so awesome. My Mom went to Ehwa 40 years ago and when we were visiting Seoul a few weeks back, my Mom had no idea where anything was. "This wasn't here when I went to school!" (I still have my doubts). You guys are terrific! Keep up the posting! :-D

All in all I went to three colleges in America and each one of them were strict with being on time. And you're paying to be there so you should be on time.

I know you kinda already talked about University in Korea, so this is mostly for Intern Leigh. You see I'm applying to colleges soon and I wanted to apply to some Korean colleges like Ewha, I wanted to ask what the application process was like, did you have any problems with things like Korean Profiency Tests, grades, extracariculars, etc. I would really love to go to University in Korea so anything would help. I'm really sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this. Thank you for your time and sorry if this was a nuisance. Thank you so much! Simon, Martina, Intern Leigh and Soozi- FIGHTING! ^.^
I've personally visited the campus during the summer of the 2010 World Cup, and my GOSH, the architecture is brilliantly constructed!!

1) There should be some electronic tracker of how many / which seats are available in study areas instead of searching forever
2) There needs to be a sleeping area on campus!!

As much as I think my university is pretty cool and mostly pretty good looking, this university looks AWESOME! I love how everything is literally contained within it. I know they say that about all universities, but I still have to leave campus for groceries, malls, going to the movies . . . it seems like they don't. SWEET

the university I used to attend in Southern California recently built a parking structure that tells you how many spaces are available for parking on each level :D

The problem is UofT has such an old campus (that looks really, really awesome) but the gyms were so crusty because of the lack of a new facility. We also went to the smelly Hart House gym and I totally didn't know St.Mikes had one either. (Martina = St.Mikes, Simon = Woodsworth). ^^

In my univeristy, we have lots of Tim Hortons. We have Pizza Pizza and Subway. On the 2nd floor theres a bubble tea shop, a bar and a restaurant. We also have a bookstore (it's called a bookstore but they sell EVERYTHING. Books, art supplies, food, lottery tickets, electronics) and we have a convinence store, dental office, and doctors office :P We got a lot here.

Reminds me of UC Berkeley in terms of what the campus looks like. I went to a women's college, Bryn Mawr College, and students of both genders came from our brother school, Haverford, to take classes. Some students also took classes at Haverford, Swarthmore and even U Penn in the nearby Philadelphia. There were also plenty of issues with students transitioning genders on campus, which meant that although they were accepted as women, they were transitioning into men or identified as gender-queer during their time there/by the time they graduated.
And from all of the manga and anime I've seen over the years, I know that there are both co-ed and single sex high schools of similar caliber to Ewha, including the religious school Rei Hino goes to in Sailor Moon.

Wow some of my Koreans were actually exchanged students from Ewha since our universities have partnership, I actually wondered if I should attend that university when/if I do my exchange in Korea. Thank you guys!
This is so cool because my university does a reciprocal exchange program with this university. It's cool that I can get such an up close look at this! This will totally help in making my decision for next year!

This was an awesome WANK! I love learning about what student life/other aspects of life are in other countries. I'm a little jealous of the women's uni - it looks so cool and the area surrounding seems like fun - but I guess that's the trade off from the depressing life of being a student

Ewha university is one of the top tier, aka SKY college. Of course the facility is top notch! :) My mom graduated and is an art professor there. Couldn't be more proud! :)

Ehwa is one of three universities that my school does study abroad programs with. Ehwa, Dong-a and Korea Universities. I was going to push more for DOng-a, but now Ehwa looks wonderful!

from wiki: "Ewha" is a Sino-Korean term for "pear blossom". While the use of "Womans" is unconventional, it has a special meaning. The early founders of college thought that every woman in this community is worth being respected. So they chose the word "woman" avoiding lumping students together under the word "women." Putting the additional "s", they completed the meaning of plural.

My university really needs that seat management system. Everything is always FULL and there's never any space to do work, and I always end up walking through all the floors in the (very small, shared between the university and the college here) library before realizing that it's COMPLETELY FULL.

My university has a bookstore that sells a lot of different things. Books/electronics/school supplies/stuffed toys. We also have a convinence store in the university along with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. We got a gym too and an indoor pool :o
