I find it insulting to the music world that people are fawning over One Direction, and other "Boy Bands." Mr. Owens has a voice for the ages. Granted there are parts of his voice that people may not find all that appealing. He is still worlds above the people that pass as singers today. The bottom of his range is rich and full. He has a great upper range, but it starts to sound strained the higher that he gets. Overall, he is still one of my favorite singers. I screwed myself out of a music education and had to settle for business, so I can only HOPE to have an instrument that gets anywhere near the quality of his. Absolutely amazing voice there Mr. Owens!

This is one of the most absurd comments I have ever read anywhere. Eric Owens is a world-class singer and has had (and is having) the kind of career that other singers can only dream of. Are you a singer at all? Have you EVER made a world-class singing sound in your life? My guess is no - so, please sit down and stop commenting on things you know nothing about. Period.

Anyway, if you have a remotely developed ear, which you don't, you'll hear that his labored vibrato betrays a forced technique. It doesn't sound good if you know what good basses used to sound like.

There there. There are different kinds of music and no music is better than another. Eric Owens does have a tremendous voice though.
