I still have my 88 CRX down here in Melbourne Australia. One owner. Me. Recently restored. 100% OEM. And we only got one version. Full RHD JDM. Love that little beast. Will never sell it. A nostalgia piece from my youth.
Well done. I bought an '87 new and replaced it with a '90 after an accident. The "90 is to this day the vehicle I most regret selling though we did enjoy a trouble free 200,000 hard driven miles.
The second Gen CRX was always my favorite out of the two. You could see them always on the highscool parking lots, since it was very popular among students that pursued a mechanic's career back then. I've always told myself as a kid that my dream car/first car was going to be either a Honda CRX or a Mitsubishi Eclipse (2nd Gen)
Great video bro...Love old school Hondas, My mother was literally driven to the hospital in a Yellow CRX when she was giving birth to me...I dont have a CRX right now driving an EJ1, but these little cars are great.
good video! always really loved the CRX's and just saw one yesterday! nice to see them still on the road. always kinda wanted one! such fun and simple pure little cars!
Great video. I currently own a 1985 1.5l with 75k miles and all original as well as a 86 CRX SI with a K24 in it. So I am bias that the 1st gen is the best! 😂. I love both and still feel the 80s was the best time for Honda cars.
Neglected to include the Canadian only CRX Special Edition in 1991 in Vogue Silver with the leather wrapped steering wheel CRX VT spoiler and SE heckblende and only 250 were made.I learned manual on an 87 Si and I owned an 89Si and 90si. I miss them.
Loved the video! Here in Portugal we where fortunately enough to get CRXs with the B16A1 with 150cv :D those machines flew! The lower models had a D16A9 with 130cv. Nowadays its super hard to get one even in bad shape :/
Love the crx namely the 2nd gen, still can't believe there's people out there putting in k20/24 like dang isn't that to much hp for a car around 2000lbs, I would be happy with an accord f23.
I owned one when I was 16(31 now) I bought it from a neighbor for $1400 with 125k miles. Sunroof, leather seats and nice gas mileage was all great. I ended up selling it for no good reason for $1800. I hardly see them around now. I saw one for sale about 1yr ago with manual transmission it was for sale 2 days and sold.
@@AcuraAdvice that's why we just have to keep looking and searching since you never know when we'll get lucky. I've scored several hard to come by Honda/Acura cars for a bargain and made tons of margin on my investment I was able to put that towards my build.
Great video! Speaking of Vancouver… I have been chasing a old lady who is daily driving a beautiful red first gen crx Si with 150k kms. We spoke at a grocery store and told me she would sell it to me.😉
In some countries the del sol was called the crx. Great content on this Canadian site. Nothing honda did after your sir interested me, till gen x civics
I have a 1991 Honda CRX Si that I bought new in spring 1992. Up until a couple of weeks ago when the head gasket blew, it was my daily driver. I think it might be time to sell, as I figure potential buyers may want to put their own engine in anyway. Any advice on how to go about selling it would be appreciated.
Nice reference to the video game/arcade market crash of 1983 and photos of the buried ET cartridges (which was a myth proven to be true). I had ET--it was terrible and returned it.
I used to have a 1990 CRX that I bought in '94. Absolutely loved that car. Drove it until 2002 when some bitch pulled out of a parallel parking spot, hit me and boke the front axle which ended up totaling the car. Still miss that car to this day.
As the owner of a (somewhat) minty 1991 Si hatch (in Tahitian Green, no less, the most 91 of all the colours) that rolls on Mugen MR5s, I approve of this video. lol
A very good video and a good trip down memory lane. This is when HONDA really made good, dependable cars. The good ole Del Sol. I will keep my opinions to myself re: that car. 😂The CRX was a gem and it is sad that the days of the CRX, the 80s, 90s Accords and Civics has passed us by. I really miss that era of cars. No frills but dependability and longevity were the main focus of HONDA.
Thank you! The direct successor to the CRX was the Del Sol. Almost a decade later, the CRZ was kind of a reboot of the CRX, but it didnt sell well and was cancelled after only a few years of production.

I had the 85 blue and 91 black CRX and loved them both! I wish I still had either one or both!
I had two-a first gen 1984 and a second gen 1988. Loved them both.

I know, I remember I used to see them all the time, now theyre super rare!
@@AcuraAdvice Indeed they're and even more if they're OEM and totally unmolested in stock condition
Great video, I love the storyline of 80s technology stock prices 😂

Thanks man! Nothing wrong at all with an EJ1, those are sweet!!
Good video, I don't have a Crx but I have a 1991 Ef Civic hatchback, roughly makes 400whp. They are awesome little cars.
I’m trying decide between a EF and CRX right now such a hard decision
Thank you for this video! Exactly what I was looking for.
Why is this channel so small😢

You're a great narrator! I hope one day you get more subscribers!
Thank you!
I bought a used 87 CRX Si after college and loved that car. I wish the CRZ would have been a modern incarnation, but nope.

Yeah, I wish I had bought one about 15 years ago they were cheap! Now they are near impossible to find and expensive.

By the way this was meant for the Vigor video but for some reason posted here lol.

Nice! Thats the best way to get your hands on a clean one of these now days

As a laserdisc collector and SEGA fan this video hurts 😂 but I still love and want a CRX

It really was the golden age for Japanese cars
The Del Sol was actually the3rd gen CRX as marketed in Japan.
Love mine. Second owner was garage kept no winters. 88 dx
What a gem! Hard to find ones like that now days
Amazing video
MY DUDE! Driving IS the whole point of a car!
One of the best car of all time. I have this B16 in my ED7. Honda shoud bring it back ''Not as a CRZ LOL''
I’ve had three CRXs in my life (all three stolen)… I wish I could find one again. Better to have loved and lost than not at all?
As a Torontonian that Van rent joke slapped.
Literally my dream car . Slow Af . Still my dream car .
Do you guys consider the Honda CR-Z to be the 3rd gen CRX?
The Del Sol is technically the successor to the CRX
I really want a CRX as my second car but it’s so hard to find them stock or with little modifications.
My '91 Si is now for sale. No mods, original owner. Let me know if you are interested.
I miss my 91 crx si😂❤
CRX Exclusive in black
wasnt the crz supposed to be the predecessor to the crx? also great video!!

College girls LOVED this car
I confirm: the CRX SiR (VTi in Europe) is better 😄.
