I realize I'm late to comment on this but I've been trying to catch a muskie for 2 yrs on the big swamp and have yet to get one. I'll continue to watch for more tips. Thank you.
@@MattVavrochFishing I got a bunch free that I haven't used. I never thought of using them like that. I was saving them for when I want to get swole. 😂
How do you like that revo rocket reel? Would it be good for burning small bucktails? That first fish was one of the longest muskie battles I've seen. FUN! I wish all fish fights lasted longer.😮
Thanks for watching as always, the first one lasted so long because it was hooked wonky it was pretty nerve racking tbh. I like my rocket but if you are gonna burn with it the blade size shouldn’t be higher than 5 or 6 otherwise the torque will kill your arm.
@MattVavrochFishing Thanks for the information on the rocket. I'd like one for burning small bladed bucktails. I didn't know that Steve had expanded his service. Good for him. I've fished with him years ago.
Hi Matt, I fish Canadian shield lakes, Eagle, spring, summer, and fall. I'm looking at some Ridgeway Baits for spring. How deep can you twitch the 6 and 7 down too. Do they suspend or rise pretty quick.
His new ones don’t rise quite as quick but they do get deeper. I can twitch them to 6’ usually, if I really work them right I can get them 8-10 but I don’t do that every cast. If you are hitting shield likes I would recommend getting on the pre order list for a metal lip one just to be safe because you just never know what you are gonna run into with the bait on those bodies of water. The metal ones dive curve on a cast is the same.
What is wrong with you just letting go if these fish. Let them get their shit together feel some strength then let them kick away from you. Jesus Crimmeny !!
Objectively there are many things wrong with me but that’s besides the point. When I release fish I do my best to let them support themselves if they can. A couple of those releases were a little weird to say the least, however, we could watch the fish the whole time and make sure they go back safe. That was one of the biggest advantages releasing in shallow cool water was we could literally watch them and make sure they were good before moving on. Thanks for watching, hope you crush this fall.

Thanks a bunch, really appreciate you watching. All you can do is put the time in and cast. Good luck out there!
Pretty sweet trip. He put you on some beauties. Was the pre workout for how much fishing you'd be doing or did you work out before the fishing? 👍
Haha it was awesome, Connor is a great guide! The pre workout is just cheaper than energy drinks lol.

Conner is with Preadator Guide Service? I thought that belonged to Steve Scapanick? I'm not sure how to spell his last name.

Yeah he takes Steve’s overflow with Predator guide service.
