How do you, when you take so many baits, choose between so many similar baits that do similar things ? That's always a struggle for us. Some days it's about 'trying' to catch on a certain bait, some days it's about a confidence bait. How do you decide when to throw a new bait?

I've had a Poseidon glide all year they're awesome baits. Moved a ton of fish on it but got it a little later in the spring and wish i used it more. It'll be used allot this spring. Im gonna have to try a trophy systems but considering they were designed off of the Wolf Creek baits it's hard to not use the original. I just got two more from their black Friday drop I've being a brown trout pattern. Moved and lost some giant IL fish on the 14s and just recently got three 11s with the internal harnesses so big plans for those

Those trophy systems look really cool. I got one of the 15” wolf creek swimbaits with an internal harness from luke ronnestrand and it has the best action of any swimbait I’ve thrown. Those trophy systems are super similar design to the wolf creek so if they are similar I’ll definitely be picking some up

One CORRECTION, if I may: I misspoke at 18:25 - we clipped approximately 15,000 fall fingerling muskies that were stocked throughout the GB watershed in October 2024. My apologies for not having the specifics available for our discussion. And at 1:19:20 when my feed froze, I was piggy-backing/agreeing with Matt's comment about confidence baits, stating that tubes are my top confidence rubber bait on GB. Plus, they'e easier to pull/pop/rip than most other types of rubber. Sorry for the bad connection lol! Best of luck to everyone on the H2O!

That Livingston jerkmaster is a super cool bait, one of my favorite jerkbaits there is. It’s nothing like a normal musky crankbait. It fishes just like a bass jerkbait like a vision 110. Almost like it’s half glider and half suspending dive and rise. I’ve never understood why that bait didn’t take off because it fishes like a heavy dnr like a bar fighter, gets down 6-8ft, but is really cheap and can figure 8 it like a bucktail and looks good

Definitely the fall for bucktails and medussas for me. First 5 muskie day came all on bucktail . 4 in the first 90 minutes

You’ve convinced me to pick up a ridgeway this winter. Almost all my fishing is done on vermilion and the upper Mississippi so I’m regularly banging baits into really nasty rocks and like the idea of a metal lip bait. A 10” Jake is one of my favorite baits of all time, hopefully I like the ridge as much
