I can't wait to hear more about this product especially its competitiveness to the EL Zone system. I've been looking for a monitor who has the same tech with a lower priced monitor for a bit now. It's great to have someone get this out and I hope they succeed in doing so. Great job!
Hey, ask @SmallHD when they’re going to add camera control via USB-C like these monitors are offering… and without a $1000 license. I’d like to keep my SmallHD monitors for use with my FX3’s. I don’t want to have to go with one of these or Atomos.
I don't know if it is technically possible or not, but what would be really nice is if the HDMI OUT was also capable of converting the signal so that it would display on a regular computer monitor. This would be incredibly useful, although those manufacturers that also make proper large monitors are (understandably) unlikely to include such a feature.
Nice to see competition in realm of operating system with SmallHD. Hope other manufacturers will came up with something similar too. SmallHD’s value for money lowering every year with their QC problems, and for SmallHD price you can buy three of these. Hope they will succeed, and someday their or some other chinese brand monitor will replace my SmallHD when time comes for my next upgrade. Like aputure, deity, smallrig, tilta, and other very good value-for-money companies.
Honestly i want to buy a Smallhd, but hearing that they dont last very long and users are not happy with qc that puts me really of. It woul be a big investment for me
@@Milan-cf1xe their page os is still top notch, and if you work on real sets, you just don’t have other options, it is de-facto standard for now. But for one man band, i am not sure their price is justified. You can rent it for day and try it yourself, to be sure you need it or not.
Waiting for a 7", 2000 nit version of their LH5P II. The BM5 and BM7 have features like SDI that most mirrorless users don't need. And a price to match. Portkeys need to release an affordable LHP7 II.
I doubt it will have NIkon camera control. Somebody prove me wrong please. specifically Z8. Nikon still working on playing nice with others software wise.
It’s a piece of shite. Returned my first one because the WiFi was broken, second is going back because the interface is a second rate piece of shite that fails to respond. Bought to control my Komodo X but I, and another guy I work with can’t get it to work. Neither can a few folks in the Amazon review column. Firmware updates are all mislabelled, no instructions. It’s a total mess. Even Atomos are this much of a shit show.
My experience has been opposite. Portkeys responds quick and helped resolve issues on previous occasions. Must say that I've favored them for both what they create and their support staff.
Finally someone who is making a stop based false color. I know about EL Zone but they seem to slow things down rather than being supportive.
its all about the licensing. I think PortKeys basicly took the concept of the EL-Zone system and call it false color to avoid licensing el-zone. :D
@@Joshua_SSo its the same?
@@Milan-cf1xewhat’s the same ?
@@creativegreatsvisualsi wonder wether its the same as EL Zone but just a different name

The website before said that the BM5 WR 3 WOULD get the Cinenorm update and now it’s not. Smh.
Seriously. I bought the BM5 WR 3 this year because of this promised firmware update...

USBC for Canon C400?
Lumix controls coming soon?
Camera control/touch focus on canon c70/r5c?
Can it control Canon XF705 or XF 605?
Will it have camera control with Fujifilm cameras?
Fuji doesn’t allow third party camera control, unfortunately.
Does this have touch focus control for r5/r6?
Yes, it can touch focus with Canon R5/R6
