A well put video , thanks for spreading awareness about our country's crisis . I 'll just add 3 points to mention here: 1- the Sudanese public seems to be mostly behind the Sudanese Armed Forces. 2- our Sudanese Armed Forces started a counteroffensive about 6 weeks ago , regaining back one of the 3 cities in the capital. 3- the Civilian leaders are becoming increasingly untrustworthy , sometimes siding with the RSF , and even went as far as fabricating a report originally accusing the RSF of a mass rape campaign , where they circulated a fake copy of the report that laid most of the blame on the SAF.
If most of the Sudanese people side with the army, then I will root for them as well. I don’t expect much of the Army’s main leader. He’s likely gonna be just another corrupt African despot, but if the people believe they will get a better deal under him then the leader of the RSF then I will trust their judgement.

Once South Sudan left, the rest of the country thought, “That’s a novel idea”. Wouldn’t be surprised if Sudan was Split in Three. Off the top of my head. Very bad for Egypt. Pretty good for Ethiopia. Just a side note if a Water War were to break out.
@Zhtrik nah would be way way more terrible for Ethiopia because that'll start a trend of secession and with a nation as diverse as ethiopia there will be a lot of fighting everywhere and all at once. This conflict all together is horrible for the entirety of the regions simply for how big sudan is and how much influence it had on the region.
@@FNA27601 Ethiopia is a lot like Russia, there’s succession movements. But the Core Territories mostly keep it together. Otherwise the country would have collapsed when Eritrea left in what the 90s? Also, how are you just ignoring Egypt’s issues here when a few dams can literally mess up their entire nation. On top of issues with the Red Sea and the Houthi’s.
In any war, it is regular people who suffer. Not th the leaders, commanders or the rich and powerful. Only civilians bear the consequences as the leaders and powerful fight each other for their own interests. They don't care about regular people suffering for the wars they are causing.
Russia and the RSF have been dealing with each other for a while now; without the RSF and their control of Sudan's gold, Russia basically wouldn't of been able to weather the initial sanctions placed upon it when it invaded Ukraine.
An African Balkan version. Sudan has close ties with Ethiopia and Eritrea. In the 90s Sudan rescued lots of Ethiopians and Eritreans during the Eritrean-Ethiopian War. Before Sudan was divided into 2 countries, they had a GDP per capita of 3,200€, which at the time for an African country was not that and much higher compared to its neighbours. This is because Sudan is rich in many resources and largest producer of gum arabic in the world. It is used for as an emulsifier and a thickening agent in icing, fillings, chewing gum, and other confectionery treats according to many reports. The resources of UAE cannot be compared to Africa at all. Russia also wants to get access to the Red Sea by building a navy base in 2023 before the start of the current conflict. So basically, everyone wants to get "a chunk and portion" especially in the poorer, rich in resources African countries. Sudan was also the largest country in Africa before it was split into 2 countries.
Can you make an update on Ethiopia? I believe that is much more significant for world events than Sudan's civil war, and good on the ground sources on ethiopia are scarce.
Another thing, I fear you overlooked, is the countries involving on it. The Sub-Saharan African nations like Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan offer mediation, but so far the Sudanese leaderships in both sides, all Arabs, only care about Arab viewpoints. These Sub-Saharan states subsequently gave up because they believe the Arabs discriminated, sabotaged and segregated African nations' ability to help dialogue the Sudanese crisis.
African governments should take the UAE, Sudanese Government, and RRF. to the ICJ and ICS. Instead, we are concerned with the conflicts in Israel/Gaza and Ukraine while black genocide is ongoing in Sudan.
The Sudanese military is the sudanese government. Just as much as the English army is the English government and the king is the commander of this military. And just as much as the American military is h the American government. The king of England can at any point dissolve the parliament and rearrange it. Especially in times of an emergency. What has happened in Sudan is coupe against the leader of the government Al-Burhan (the king if you will) by one of his sub-commanders who was only recently included in the military and isn’t from the ranks of the military order. He broke off with his command shortly after he was added to the government’s military not long ago and tried to take over the government. Not only did he attempt to take over the presidency, he also went back to his old ways of looting and destruction of civilian infrastructure. Something he stayed away from for some time. Abdulfattah Alburhan was a top military general for years serving his country loyally before he became president of Sudan by a vote from within the military. The actual government of Sudan. Get an accurate story or don’t report.
In 2015, Sudan was one of the countries that started bombing Yemen, the UAE paid Sudan to dropped it's troops in Yemen, their troops r*ped/kil*led women and children, and the samething that is happening in Sudan now, happened by Sudanese troops in Yemen from 2015-2019, we thought the Sudanese were our brothers and that is only their government, but we get shocked when we see videos spreading inside their Mosques calling us disbelievers, and that killing us is fighting for Islam and justifiable, of course
As a former British colony I believe Britain has a duty to intervene on the side of the government on the condition that it welcomes in democratic procedures that the Sudanese people have been protesting for. The RSF and Hemedti seem so greedy and evil in the way they have conducted this opportunistic power grab. Yes the government aren't saintly either but it's Hemedti's opportunism that's prolonging this conflict. Disgraceful that Rwanda welcomed him too
This is a pretty severe oversimplification of the past of the region and the conflict, even for TLDR. I'm not qualified to sum it up myself, but for those interested I highly recommend looking into the further history and complicated past of Sudan to understand the situation better - as this video is just a skim off the surface.

As a somali analysis used to live in Khartoum,Sudan.
Sudan Army is much stronger than RSF, RSF grown under the hamadook PM time and i'm 100% sure as time goes they will be defeated by the SAF.
All sudan hate the RSF right now and they are using neighboring mercenaries and foreign mercenaries with foreign weaponry and money support like UAE,Chad and Russia but unluckily the SAF got drones and control most of the main cities, factoreis, ports and airports this means they have the resources and the personnel's to fight more than 50years if needed with the best leaders Alburhan.

A well put video , thanks for spreading awareness about our country's crisis .
I 'll just add 3 points to mention here:
1- the Sudanese public seems to be mostly behind the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Al-Burhan and Hemedti : Oh I wouldn’t say freed more like under new management

Aside from more effective repression, what, if anything, had been holding Sudan together to begin with?
The international community...Darfur would be independent if it's government did require recognition from western countries.
Inertia?

Well Iran isn’t really sending troops just money and guns so is Wagner although at least they are delivering it in person
And now with the houthis attacking shipping there’s no easy way to get humanitarian aid to Sudan
In any war, it is regular people who suffer. Not th the leaders, commanders or the rich and powerful. Only civilians bear the consequences as the leaders and powerful fight each other for their own interests. They don't care about regular people suffering for the wars they are causing.
What a new age of warfare! Opposing forces fighting on a battleground that is in a third country.
They really talked about a Ramadan cease fire there too.. Gee they pull that gem out to get sun often huh
Can you make an update on Ethiopia? I believe that is much more significant for world events than Sudan's civil war, and good on the ground sources on ethiopia are scarce.
I think the collapse of sudan is pretty significant for world events its a big nation with a lor of resources and a part of the arab league.
@@FNA27601 Sudan unfortunately exists in the shadow of egypt, ethiopia and arab league.
If Sudan bordered Israel, people would actually care.
You're a weirdo
Another thing, I fear you overlooked, is the countries involving on it. The Sub-Saharan African nations like Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan offer mediation, but so far the Sudanese leaderships in both sides, all Arabs, only care about Arab viewpoints. These Sub-Saharan states subsequently gave up because they believe the Arabs discriminated, sabotaged and segregated African nations' ability to help dialogue the Sudanese crisis.
South Sudan 😂😂 Kenya is corrupt and Tanzania is irrelevant
why do you always show the wrong map of Sudan?
RSF is a plaque no boundaries to their crimes

Those two "anyway"s in 2nd minute were annoying.
African governments should take the UAE, Sudanese Government, and RRF. to the ICJ and ICS. Instead, we are concerned with the conflicts in Israel/Gaza and Ukraine while black genocide is ongoing in Sudan.
"Empathy isn't infinite, it's only selective"
