Great to begin the morning with another nostalgic dip into the past. I loved the picture of the BB lads on parade in Kelvingrove Park. All very smart too!. I was in the BB at that time and I remember the big battalion parades with the pipe bands playing and all the people turning out on the streets to see what was going on.
It just couldn't be anything else other than July 1975 at Glasgow Central Station, with those flared troosers & jeans & no forgetting the haircuts tae....
Colin, as a Toryglen lad, do you remember there was also a Brechins bar on the corner of Aikenhead road and Calder street in the 1960's and 70's? Apparently owned by the same William Brechin that owned the Govan pub. According to google it was later named "Broons" then "The Mire" but that was after my time. Thanks for the video.

I could remember the pub, but not the name. I guess it was named the Mire after the pond in Toryglen.
Glasgow really was a dirty old town back in the day, a big contrast with today.
Denis Law legend but what about the golden vision stood beside him ? From Glaswegian Evertonian
Alex Young, Hearts and Everton, should have got a mention.
