In Europe, a lot of us were introduced to poker from Norman's commentary and show on ESPN. Moneymaker was the lever, but Norman warmed us all up and introduced us to the game and the people aspect of it. My dream is to one day play the WSOP and meet Norman ❤
Norman, been a fan since you've been doing it. Your observations on the'GTO' commentary is spot on. I simply cannot watch it. I also don't care for the two snobs that do the late hours stuff. But I could watch and listen to you and Lon all day! Cheers sir, from a fan❤
Wow! So much more admiration and love for Norman Chad after this interview. He is so accurate in what he said about so many things. I too believe it is the characters and personality of the game the main viewer wants to see, not all the poker lingo. I can't even remember all the great points he said now because there were so many great things he said. He knows poker more than he says he does because he seems to know the heart of the audience. It was great to hear his philosophy on things.
I loved the '03 coverage. You did commentary on a much wider variety of poker games. You made me want to play razz -- because you were so funny about the old miserable razz players. The women's game was fun too.
Moneymaker and Norm are the two who made poker what it is today. Agree with Norm, bring the WSOP back to ESPN and cover more of the tourneys. GG charges $20/month. That’s absurd. Would anyone pay that amount to watch Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
I agree, wish poker would come back to espn. This pay for membership stuff is crap, the parents and the grandparents are are old school and would rather watch it on espn like we used to
I think by now we can say that the problem with women is they're just not interested in poker in the same way. I love poker, but most women are wired differently.

Really enjoyed this interview and mostly because you allowed the guest to talk without interruption. Nicely done and I look forward to more!

Great interview!
norman is the voice of poker always
Norm nailed it on how to grow the game!
People say Moneymaker changed poker. I say Norm and Lon changed poker.
Legend
I always figured Norman did standup!
Norm Chad and Lon are a great team...
It doesn't seem like the WSOP without these 2 guys
I feel unfulfilled. I was hoping that Chad would explain which colleges' mascots are known as 'the boilermakers' and especially, why.
