I should be at Rancho Nicasio right now watching these guys, but I had to pass. It's 112F degrees, and fires have been breaking out all over California. I was afraid to leave my home and belongings to drive 4 hours across the state. It's been 5 years since I last saw them, but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer. Sniff.

I love this. I’m diggin’ the Jimmy interview with Marc Maron on his WTF podcast. Jimmy is such a great guy. I never really knew much about him….and I’m still here too…meaning I’m not quite as aged as Jimmy but catching up! Go Jimmy!!

Fine stuff Fellas!
I've seen them together 3 times, the first was just two guys in chairs swapping songs, but last night at the Kessler was nothing short of incredible. Dave's guitar was absolutely incendiary, the entire band was amazing, and it was simply a great, great concert. Best one yet, in my opinion. x

I love these guys! I've known Jimmie for about 25 years (plus Janet--awesome woman & Buddhist teacher), then met Dave at one of their performances in Berkeley...Oh wow. --Apart from being creative/talented performers, songwriters, Jimmie & Dave are down-home philosophers and good-hearted men.-- Their July 17 performance in Chico, CA is sold out. Try to catch them next time---I'm prayin' they're still here.

Dave, did you ever read those two books of poetry I gave you in Maine? I never heard. I'm rather famous now and pretty rich. I won against the bastards. No easy feat as you know. Cheers, Eric Green, the artist and writer,
The fact that you’re the kind of guy who feels the need to announce that you’re “rich and famous” is probably why you never heard from Dave. Also, Dave’s the kind of guy who, if he would have liked your poems, probably would’ve sent you a quick note saying something like “keep on keepin on, brother”. So…he probably didn’t think much of your poetry. Just saying.

JDG is not it. What control does he have over you? it's like you owe him something? Did he lend you money for that bad facelift?
I think the same thing) I have nothing against JDG as a person but I can't stand his voice. I'd like Dave to release a normal solo album at last.
JDG had a way better voice than Alvin ever had. Now that he's like 90, sure he's lost a step. Gilmore is a legend, voice of the Flatlanders.
