Oh yeah, you're right about GAN's plastic stem. The reason I mentioned the plastic was because I've seen some videos and posts about broken V10 stems, which raised concerns about the plastic quality. But yeah I think if it isn't a factory defect it isn't likely to break. ua-cam.com/video/tvujHAowFRw/v-deo.htmlsi=3Es744cGhDZ143jJ www.reddit.com/r/Cubers/comments/1d7qbcs/comment/l75qx67/?
Actually the plastic stem itself shouldn't be a problem normally, but I have seen some comments and videos about their V10 breaking due to the plastic stem (ua-cam.com/video/tvujHAowFRw/v-deo.html, www.reddit.com/r/Cubers/comments/1d7qbcs/comment/l75qx67/?), which rarely happens to metal stem. If the cube you receive isn't a factory defect, then it shouldn't be a major concern. However, when comparing the V10 and V9, I would say that the V9 has a lower likelihood of breaking.
Great video! I came here wondering which cube to get and I am still not sure yet lol. Im a new hobbyist and have never really had a premium cube before. Do you have any recommendations on which version for may be more beneficial for someone just getting started but looking to have a good quality cube that I hope to improve on and work with? Thanks in advance.
Thank you and welcome to cubing! If you are relatively new to cubing and you are looking for a great cube, I'd recommend getting the "Dayan Guhong Pro M" or the "RS3M V5 Ballcore UV"! Both cubes have good but user-friendly adjustment systems + a ballcore (which makes the cube stable + has core magnets). They offer flagship performance without the flagship price! The GuHong Pro M gives a very smooth turning feel. The quality is also great, it doesn't break easily as it doesn't have many fancy features that other flagships have (like adjustable corner magnets). You can also hand-adjust the tension which is very convenient. The appearance isn't as shiny as other flagships because it doesn't have UV coating, but I like it's look. You can also choose from 3 different sizes and 2 different systems (spring or maglev) depending on your preference. One down side though is its corner cutting not being one of the best (but it is still pretty good), but I think this isn't a bad thing for a new cuber, because you can practice turning accurately and form good habbits! As for the RS3M V5 Ballcore UV, I don't actually own the cube but it has a very good reputation. A lot of top cubers use it as their main cube. Another reason that I suggested these 2 cubes before expensive flagships (Like V9, V10, Gan 12, Tornado V3) is, their performance might be 'too good' that you might get too used to their powerful corner cutting ability. And you know it is like when you buy a pair of $1000 headphones, you probably won't like $500 headphones as much. I still enjoy my GuHong a lot and perform very well on it, but V9 and V10 are just more forgiving when I do timed-solves. That's why I suggest getting a more premium cube as your 2nd or 3rd cube! I made a review on the Guhong Pro M before, if you need more information about it please watch it! Good luck and happy cubing! ua-cam.com/video/xia8QK4OgLk/v-deo.htmlsi=K8Tzx1QP_dDIPsM-
If you want to choose between V9 and V10, then I think the V10 Spring Ballcore version would be better for you. V9 is better for cubers who turn aggressively, and its magnets are SO strong. Ever since I started using V10, my fingertricks habbits actually improved lol. And Spring ballcore is probably a better choice for you as Maglev might be something you wanna try after trying springs, in order to feel an 'upgrade' feeling.
I still cannot understand.Could you please help me? I have fast-moderate turning and pretty much accurate turning. Please tell which cube should I buy. The weilong wrm v9 or weilong wrm v10
Actually if you have accurate turning and don't rely much on corner cutting, I think you will enjoy the V10 more. That's more true if your turning force is relatively light
Hmm if you are both aggressive an accurate then honestly i think both will be great options. Maybe you can take into consideration other factors like corner twists and adjustment system
I thought the v10 had stronger magnets and better corner cutting. I guess I have to wait until it arrives to try it and see if I made the right choice. But, I have a question: does the MagLev system make the cube smoother?
I think the V10 still has pretty strong magnets, the auto homing feeling is very obvious. Just weaker than V9 imo because the V9 basically just smashes every turn lol. As for maglev, I don't have the spring ballcore version V10 so I can't really compare. But I think Maglev should make it smoother than the spring version. Unlike the V9, the V10 has some friction in the middle of a turn, so having Maglev instead of springs should be better imo. There are some comments about V10's maglev vs spring here! www.reddit.com/r/Cubers/s/8u6JA3UiQX

I have the Tornado flagship version, and as a V9 main, I prefer the V10 over the Tornado flagship. If you are like me who enjoys the way V9 turns, I am not sure if you will enjoy the Tornado as much. Cuz the magnet strength is much weaker (even at strongest piece-to-piece magnet strength), and the turning on Tornado has more friction (it feels like you have to make a complete turn to move a layer, whereas with the V9 you just need a push). I am not sure how different the pioneer is from the flagship though so I am not sure if my comparison is relevant. For the V10, I didn't enjoy it that much at first, because it feels very distinct from V9. But after almost a month, I actually enjoy it a lot now and get similar times on both cubes!
