    I’m buying a 156W HH to go with my 3-D Fish Powder Board. The HH is replacing my 156 K2 89 now the Rock Board. I use Photon Step On Boots. I live in Fernie and work at the Skihill.

    Love the video! Could you please give me some advice choosing between the hometown hero, custom and free thinker? I am looking for an all moutain board that can do most things(carve, side hits,etc), but I don’t do park as much. I ride mainly on the east coast so not too much powder per se haha😊

    What would you recommend for someone coming from a Burton T6. Been riding since 86’ and have always ridden all mountain style. However I buy a new board about every 10 years. I love carving tight lines on groomers, quick edge to edge, powder in the trees and edge hold on steeper terrain. No park or switch riding for me. Just all mountain directional resort riding

      I rode the T6 and T7. Amazing board for the time. There isn't anything truly like it today in Burton's line but I would say the Flight Attendant and Hometown Hero are somewhat similar.

    Same question here ;-)
    Thanks for all your videos! I think I might get the hometown hero this year, but I am not 100% shure. Coming from the Landlord, then the Flagship 2021+23. What you think, could the HTH match with my history, as an allmountain freeride board?

    Hey. Do you know of any boards that is pretty much the Hometown Hero with better edge hold? Appreciate your content!

      Man! I've been racking my brain on this and it's very hard to find an equavilent with better edge hold. This board is unique because of the sidecut that makes it feel like it's almost not tapered on groomer with lots of camber spring but then has all this setback on board/float/good tapered feel in powder. These boards have a similar feel on groomers but not the float in pow. Never Summer Cougar, Yes Standard Uninc, YES Pyzel, Korua Otto, Amplid Souly Grail, Lib Tech Ejack Knife, Jones Frontier, Cardiff Crane, Lib Lost Quiver Killer, Lib Tech Dynamo & Gnu Banked Country. Hit me up here if you want to get into more detail about it. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    James, how has the base held up long term, as far as speed? Did it stay fast once you got it dialed? Cheers!

    Can you compare the custom and the hometown hero? Love the content. Thanks

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Рік тому +3

      Thanks! Very different rides. HTH has a good bit of taper, is more set back and has rocker before the nose. It's way better in powder and is a little stiffer/damp on groomers. The Custom is full camber, not tapered and not as set back. It has a little more pop out of a turn and a lot more on an ollie but isn't very good in powder.

    I am wondering if the hometown hero is a board for me. But most of the reviews say that it’s advanced or even just for experts. So I am worrying if it’s the right choice. When would you recommend the hometown hero and when the 3D daily you mentioned?

    Looking at the gril master and Hometown Hero... I prefer a medium flex less aggressive board. something that can charge it but still has some playfulness for buttering. Also ride switch a lot... they look similar on paper but what are the differences? thanks...

      You want the Gril Master. Check my review of it. It much better fits your description. thegoodride.com/snowboard-reviews/burton-gril-master-2024-snowboard-review

      hi) what board did you buy in the end?

  • @marciliopereira9007

    How do you compare it to the Jones Frontier?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  8 місяців тому

      It helps if you have specific questions because there are a lot of differences.
      Jones Frontier: Faster base, much better grip, and much smoother turning experience in soft snow to powder. Much more forgiving.
      Burton HTH: Much more camber so better pop out of a turn in good conditions. More Ollie power as well. More set back on board and 12mm of taper so floats much better in pow if you set it all the way back.

    would you pick the 23 hometown hero or a war pig for a one board quiver?

      I would pick either but this isn't about me. Hit me up here if you want in depth real advice. I need to know a lot about you to answer that question or suggest better options. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    Oh boy, this or Lib Tech Dynamo?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 місяців тому

      Not sure because I know nothing about you. Dynamo has much better grip and a little more spring out of the turn. The HTH is very close turning wise but has more float in pow. If you want real in depth advice hit me up here. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

      @thegoodridesnow Yup, you recommended both of these boards for me. Now I've got to narrow down choices from recs. Your advice here helped, for sure. I think I prioritize edge vs float for my daily driver. Thanks!

      @wlp6200 You might check out the Lib Rig as well. It's basically a cross between the Dynamo and Brd. It'll be a little closer to the HTH and will have better edgehold
