The main difference between Corny and Kevin. Ask Kevin a random name in the business and ask him about his opinion and he's like ( always! ) "never had a problem with him/her". And that's understandable. It was the seismic shift in the business that there was no turning back from afterwards. You could easily argue that if it didn't happen, it was only a matter of time before the same shift occurred through other means (with the explosion of the internet and people being able to film things at will), but at the end of the day it *was* the defining moment of when kayfabe died.

People don't get the obvious, the elephant in the room, the writing on the wall, what's right in front of them etc.
I've said it for years, it's personalities that get over in "Pro Wrestling", the business is about entertainment, the people want to be entertained first and foremost, before they sit there through a "wrestling" match, which is pre-determined. It's about entertainment through story telling in and out of the ring, but in order to be successful at this because not everyone can do it successfully, you have to have a personality that clicks with the audience, guys like Hogan, Nash and of course the Rock, are guys that had those magnetic personalities that just drew the fans to them and so like he said, that was their "secret sauce" they didn't have to do much, they can say less then this entire comment and still get over.

Hogan didn’t do much outside Japan and he’s the biggest star in the history of wrestling. Stone Cold didn’t do much after the neck thing when he blew up and became the second biggest star in wrestling history. Ain’t nothing wrong with it.

I think this is spin. I dont think Kevin Nash purposefully chose to only do 5 moves because he was so smart to the business. This guy went from Oz to Vinnie Vegas to Diesel to Kevin Nash in like a decade and his wrestling style always stayed the same. So either he was so smart that he knew what he was doing and figured the business would catch up to him, or he was just trying to make it in the business and doing everything he physically could to make that happen.

Only 2 of those gimmicks failed. In a short period he went from a jobber to main eventer in both companies using that style of wrestling. So the question then was it the style or the character? When it clearly obviously we know Oz was held back he was world champion material. That rubber mask. That top hat. The presentation was on point. I jest of course.

I would love for Jim and Kevin to have a two hour conversation maybe doing an hour on Jim’s channel in an hour on Kevin’s channel. I’ve been a big fan of both of these guys since I was a kid and I’m in my mid-40s now.
But as far as the five move thing, I think more big guys should do less. Seeing a guy that 6 foot eight and 300 pounds trying to do stuff like Rey Mysterio junior doesn’t make any sense. It looks dumb.
My favorite big man vs big man match to this day is still WM12 Undertaker vs Diesel .

Difference between Kevin and Jim is pretty obvious. Kevin is more of a rational calm & class act type guy. Jim is an overly angry intolerant mean spirited ahole. Kevin is also loyal to his friends. Jim is not. Kevin is a better man in every aspect.
