I thought for nitrate it says to add the first one, cap & mix, take the second bottle & shake for 30 seconds, then add & then cap & shake for 60 seconds... Least that’s what it says on mine...
I have this test kit and it was okay to use but it didn’t test for any of things that you need to test so I found that I had to buy the reef master test kit too so it worked out to be quite expensive buying the both ..... now I just use the JBL Marine test kit and it has everything you need in there so you only need the one kit and it works out so much cheaper 😀 nice video you put wot of effort into it 😀😀
Thank you so much!! yes this is a great starter test kit for beginners, and I still use it, after I master the importance of testing I will move on to the more expensive and more accurate ones, but hey it gets the job done fast, simple and easy! :)
Damarris Ferguson yeah it’s ideal for teaching people the importance of testing their waters .... and it’s so simple to use .... I have to admit sometimes when I want an instant result or in an emergency I do tend to revert back to my api kits 😃
I will give a try to this one you are talking about it. also i am looking for a better accurate test kit reasonable priced. I am setting a 85 reef tank and looking for accuracy. do you know any?regards. good video.
Thats a great size tank you have nice!Other test kits I use to test my reef with great accuracy look into hanna checkers especially the alkalinity one, salifert are always accurate I'm using that as of now to test calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium. That is all I use. Bulk reef supply has great videos on reef testing needs also.
i am having trouble differentiating if my ammonia is 0 or 0.25. The card shows a little green on both. When 0 is it a total yellow with no green when you were cyclin and at 0? i have a tad bit of green. Also I think i saw you shake it but the yellow is remaining at the bottom only...wierd.
This test kit is junk i just did a water change 2 days ago and the nitrate actually read higher after i did the water change, i just threw it away worst $35 i ever spent
James Mills you should check the water you are using to change with. My tap water has nitrates in it. So a change with it actually adds to it. Now I use RO

Thanks for this Damarris. I'm too lazy to read instructions, so this is a lifesaver. Keep it up !
Thank you
Thanks for the help

You only put seven drops for ya ammonia bottle number one
Wait 5 minutes for everything you use on this test kit
I know it's pretty off topic but do anyone know a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Will Cassius Flixportal =)
@Frederick Ahmed Thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !!
@Will Cassius You are welcome :)
Clean the tubes with rodi water
So at the beginning you could have said the harder the water is the more drops it will take to change it to blue.

Did you ever figure this out because I’m cycling my tank and every day it’s between 0-.25.
@@lancey8366 same
my ph is at 7.8 and ammonia 0.50ppm is that pretty bad? and the rest is at 0ppm
Quagmire do you have freshwater or saltwater? Is your tank new, how long has it been set up
Thank you! you convinced me not to buy this kit! your tank is done cycling as you said and the Nitrate came back as 0ppm.
0ppm is a good sign
Ammonia is not perfect,
Oxejen pipe inside in tank.
The calcium test makes zero sense
