Hey Ray, i have a video request if you have time for it. What has life been like when rough seas arise? Are you trapped in your room when that happens? Or are you still out in the mess working? What is your process in dealing? Does the galley department typically try their best to make something special for the crew to cope?
As soon as I can, I will make this video request. I appreciate your support, really. You add a lot to this channel. But short answer for now until the video is made. Life on the ship stays the same, work still has to get done. I do t have a process with dealing necessarily ha, just walking a little more carefully I guess. Galley continues their normal planned meals. I’ll go into more detail with the video!
Will they ever not require the vaccine? Because this is my dream job and it breaks my heart that they have that rule however under no circumstances do I consider that vaccine a possibility.
Question how hard would it be for someone like myself from Jacksonville Florida to get on a route like this from Tacoma to Anchorage and back? Would it be easier to move out west? I have family in Gig Harbor who are willing to help if that's what's needed.
Typically you have to be in the union hall where the job is called for this type of ship. UNLESS, it goes “all ports” because someone in the Tacoma hall hasn’t grabbed the job within a certain amount of time. Once it goes all ports than it’ll be posted in east and west coast union halls. So yes, best odds of getting on a Tacoma-anchorage run would be to live nearby Tacoma because the job will be called in the Tacoma hall first.
@@northwestsailor526 I greatly appreciate the help. I see lots of guys here making runs from to Puerto Rico. I'm currently in class and should be completed soon. Just weighing some options. It's nice having someone in the field to answer questions. Thank you again and wishing much success with your channel and Career.
Your videos are getting better and better man. Thanks again.
Appreciate it. Thanks for the support
