    I do all the work on my cars as much as I possibly can to save money and I’ve watched thousands of videos over the years. But man are you by far the best at explaining Things. Great job man!! Clear clean and right to the point.

    Thanks for the video! I'm glad I found it, because I never knew that that belt tensioner tool even existed. And you definitely need it for this vehicle! I've replaced many serpentine belts just using a ratchet on the tensioner. No room for that on this vehicle. Picked up the belt tool at Harbor Freight for $19.99. Well worth it! It is too long though, as you said. I cut about 10 inches off the length of mine, and it worked great!

    I am in a tough situation. I have very little $(less than I need) and continue to run into problems. I've watched a couple of your videos, specifically, replacing dual cooling fan($300 was price tag, I did job myself) and replacing water pump in the Torrent 08. As soon as I turned car on afterwards though, the screen immediately reads Engine Hot/A/C off; even though the engine hasn't had a chance to warm up, let alone overheat. The water pump looked fine, currently there is no thermostat but that should cause over cooling rather than overheating. I do smell that rather sweet/stale smell of coolant around somewhere/everywhere. Finally, I didnt't bleed the system (of air)as I've just found out I should have after replacements. Sorry for length of message. Just don't know how to go about this. Tough situation...

      If you're smelling coolant, then you have a leak somewhere and that would be the first thing to start with. Loosing coolant will cause air pockets and can lead to damage. You could also have a faulty coolant temp sensor which could be giving you the hot temp reading as soon as you start the car. Start by finding the source of the leak, put the thermostat back in and go from there

    Im having a bucking, hesitant feeling on my 3400 torrent and fixed throttle body sensors, egr ,plugs etc and cant seem to find the problem. Would mounts , belt n tensioner cause my issue?

    So funny the old tensioner on mine has marks for the belt and the new one doesn’t.

    Do you have to realign the motor mount when replaced or removed when you do a serpentine belt replacement?

    • @JrZCarZ
      @JrZCarZ  2 роки тому

      If you secured the motor well and it doesnt move, there shouldn't be a need to realign the mount as it should fall back into place. Theres really no big adjustment anyway so it's not going to bind anything up.

    Hi, I was wondering if you could help with the issue I’m having. I have a 07 Pontiac torrent and the hole that the belt tensioner bolt screws into is stripped. Right now the bolt is in with lock tight but it only holds for so long. What do u recommend for this issue?

      Get a piece hardwire thin bent it V shape 2 off them stick them both inside the tensioner hole Make sure the end of the wire is bent to so it does not go completely inside when you try to screw in the bolt Very slowly with little pressure try to screw in the bolt If that does not work go to Home Depot and see if you can find a little bit bigger screw good luck
