I weigh 291 lbs and I did a worst case scenario full range test on my Joyor S10-S. I was going full speed with lots of stops. I got 21 miles before the battery died. I was also able to get mine up to 39mph at one point.
Omg this great!
What was the temperature out and were u on mostly flat ground or some hills?
👍
It’s still to cold to do a full ride till battery is dead
@David's How-to's & Reviews it was about 72 or 73F out. I live in between Houston and Galveston Texas, so it was all flat ground. I only took it off road for a fee brief moments
Nice
Thank you for the info.
It’s still cold here and I’m waiting for it to be 78-80 and it’s mostly medium hills here
So I’m figuring 40miles at best
regarding the battery you don't have much more space there, it's 16s7p and I am 99% sure you can't fit 16s8p inside
your only option for bigger capacity is to go with higher quality cells like LG,Samsung, Panasonic etc that have higher capacity per cell
the stock ones are chinese 2600mah cells, the best 18650 cells are 3000-3500mah but they are very expensive compared to chinese ones
joyor sells the 16s7p 60v 22.4Ah battery with LG 3200mah cells from their highest S-series model S11-S but it's $749 so almost as much as whole S10-S
I am not sure you can add a second motor to and single motor version and just plug it in
would be quite surprised if the single motor variants were shipped with the 50A dual motor controllers
more likely than not you will also need to buy a new controller
The new color screen version is something to do with a controller lag fix if I’m not mistaken. I’m wondering if the battery regen has something to do with the voltage the scooter is expecting to use vs the actual usage. So if you engage both motors it expect to output a certain amount of energy, but you’re going downhill so it can decrease the voltage load and therefor gives different percentages. As load goes back up it returns to normal
Totally agree 👍
It's a common thing on some 60v scooters Ive read. Even when I'm on 2 bars, in dual mode, it'll flash red when I'm on the acceleration, but hasn't shut off on me or anything yet. I wait 30secs sometimes if I am getting range anxiety and want to check
@@jeremyhatley1198 yup it really depends on the load. It reminds me of those old cars that didn’t have digital fuel gauges so going uphill made it go up and downhill made it go down. Same thing in a weird way
@@PlatosPunk hahaha so true
@@DavidsHowtosReviews hey bro I’ve twice now gone 12 miles to the next town and 12 back with 3 bars left in 42* weather. Big hill but downhill the way back. Cruise control is solid and it probably can go 40+. With gear I’m 5’10 and 175 pounds. I took pics of the odometer for proof. Also it’s quite windy in PNW rn as well. I didn’t go over 20 mph though because I’m not that comfortable to do that on an electric scooter
Im wanting to add a front motor to my s5. Can you possibly do a tutorial over this or help find links for parts to make this possible. Any help would be a huge help!
Check this place for parts
And check the batter or controller to see exactly what voltage you have.
It seems like there is actually 3 different watts and voltage depending where you get it from.
I can make a video where the front motor connects to on the controller.
Right now I’m not planning on installing the front motor
Yes please do!
great video, getting my S10 this week, by the way Segway is also a Chinese company 😅just have actual branch company here.
They all China
Just brand name china lol
So does Joyor, "Talenic scooters". They got name brand batteries and just a few better parts. They cost around 60% more for the same scooter
They got new models, but the TN-X1 is basically the s10s, just this year's model
We need to dined a place that has scooters and parts 25-50% cheaper!
👍😁
Thanks that was helpful . I have a joyor xms95 to many problems with joyor
Yes and no depends on how lucky you are if you get a good one or not ..☹️
It says 2,000watt?
43mph
Long range..
55miles
I don’t know if I would believe that listing.
Because the s10s said 1000 watt
And the same miles rough 50+
I get close to 40-43 on flat ground with no wind at 70deg
Their listings are so fake.
Yea 2,600 watt 43.5 mph 60v 55.9-56.5 miles I brought mine back in 2021 when it first came out . Customer service is not good they won't get back with me when I talk about the 4 year warranty but joyor USA are quick to take your money for any new parts that you need . I'm waiting on a new battery hopefully that will turn my scooter back on . Joyor did send me a screen replacement but still won't turn on the website I bought it from is Joyor USA . They need to update their customer services center
@@dabberdave yes it seems like it’s nonexistent for the most part
Hi, please I have a problem with my S5 I just bought yesterday it’s rolling just good till this evening I was riding till it suddenly turned off and it didn’t want to turn on again anymore when I break and push the turn on button the break light flash this is the only connection it has ?
That sounds like a loose connection somewhere
If the display is not working Check the connection for the display under the display push the wire into the display.
If the display is on check to make sure the throttle is returning all the way back to the off position by pushing it up
If the throttle is getting stuck the hand grip needs to be moved out
Check the electric connection for the brakes
Last check the connections in the battery box.
Good luck
Thanks a lot for your reply yes like you said the plug under the display wasn’t plugged well I plugged it well it started thanks again
@@frenchnature4724 awesome!
Glad it was something easy
When i was riding i hit a curb head on, my scooter turned off and when i try to turn it back on the screen only lights up for a second before shutting back off, and it looks like the battery shows no bars even though it was fully charged before hitting the curb4
Check all the wires in battery box and the plug to the display
my rear suspension is collapsing to 1/2 inch above the tire every ride within the first 15 seconds how can I fix it ?
That don’t sound right
My bro in law is 215 and it was fine
It was lower then I’m on it but still
The rubber bushings may be bad
it goes back up after I get off. they last two I have had the suspensions has been fine for me I have had two 5s's and they both had different problems and now this. I am tired of sending them back just for them to send me another one with a different problem.@@DavidsHowtosReviews
Can you have dual motor on the s5 ?
It doesn’t come with it that I know
Only the s10s
Can you up grade the battery
Yea just measure and make sure plug is the same
I’m getting a error now e-02
E-02 it the thumb throttle
It’s ether sticking or bad
Just got full code sheet from Joyor
Do you know if this scooter had some form of password, electric lock, or security, or does it just turn on?
None until you set a password
Can you help me please,What Application do i have to install for joyor s5 to connect it with mobile?
No mobile connection at this time that I know of
How to remove back tire?????
It’s just like a bicycle
U just have a wire on one side
That u can leave on or disconnect
The black ends are just caps the pop off
My light won't turn on for the headlight.
Check the plug under the light and in the battery box
My scooter won’t accelerate
When did you get it ?
If it’s new return it
I had my brother in law ride the s5
He is 225 and hit the terminal cut off
After the throttle didn’t work
All I did was push the throttle towards the other grip and kept pushing it from off to full throttle back-and-forth till the throttle felt nice and smooth. It took about 20 minutes to get it to work again.
