I have the dual motor version of this...the Joyor S10-S. Pretty much everything you said here applies to the 2 motor version. Only the 2-motor version has 2 1000-watt motors. The official top speed is 37 miles per hour, although I typically get around the 41-43mph range. Had it for 6 months, til I upgraded up to a Zon Doo ZO01 plus. Two 2800-watt motors, max speed of 52 miles per hour. Yeah.....my Joyor scooter was the best I ever had....though having flats sucked. Only the back tire got flats.....the front has never had a flat, still to this day. The first time changing a flat,well....was challenging to say the least. They have MANY UA-cam videos on the Joyor S5 and S10....just followed what they said and was able to get the tire changed. Had 4 flats. Watched videos the 1st and 2nd time. Now I can change it like it's nothing....not hard at all. It may seem intimidating at first....but after the second time, you just kinda get the hang of it. The first time was the most difficult....cause the screws were on so damn tight. I ride my Zon Doo now, have my Joyor as a backup.
Hey that’s good to know. 52MPH on a scooter sounds awesome… and terrifying. lol. I guess I take my motorcycle to over 100 but still sounds kinda wild. I’ll have to check out the Zon Don. I think dual motor is the way to go.
oh well youi dont have to take all the wiring out to change the tube just fyi :) although I would recommend getting the special tools made to replace the wheel on their website from scooter repair on the video you showed briefly. it's a pretty fast process with those two tools the puller tool and the special wrench. both are around 20 dollars together, rather cheap, and the entire process took about 15minutes, although they do screw the bolts that keep the rim together with loctight so you have to have a heat gun to get them off the first time.
I was gonna get this one, but I'm glad I found out about KuKirin. I have the KuKirin G2 max which costs around 700 aswell. The G2 max is much better though as it has a free extra seat which I like, but I also has a key-lock built in, so you can't even start the thing without the key. It has a extremely powerful 1000 watt motor in the back (enough for popping some wheelies) which helps it reach 55km/h (about 30mph I think) while still having 80km of range. Again, I'm really happy I went with that one Instead of this joyor scooter. You should definitely check it out! They also have some cheaper and more powerful scooters if you prefer
I owned both joyor and kukirin different models. In my opinion kukirin has the habit to loose bolts and break while riding it after a while, where joyor don’t. So in my opinion joyor is better then kukirin on longer term view. I compare now between joyor F1 and kukirin S1pro and S3plus. For range and performance they are pretty similar.
The scooter good, but could of did a way more better job on the wiring in the inside, I’ve had mine for a months and I’m already having error code, my opinion go with a better scooter you might have to pay more for it but won’t have to worry if you go off a jump or a curve the battery unplugging or a wire clip coming apart.
Oh darn. I’ve been waiting to see how it holds up over time myself, because it is a lot cheaper than other brands with these specs. Maybe I’ll do a follow up video after one year.
Good to know! I have the "German ABE" version - limited to 22 Km/h - have to unlook that guy 🙂 And in this version is no side light and no flashing brake light, no cruise control ....wtf.... 😭
if others have the same scooter they have extended battery for sale now. the extended battery can be use for joyor s5 and s10 dual motor. they also have the steering damper for this scooters. i bought the extended battery for it and i tested it, it can go to 40miles.. 40 miles with ur full charge battery and extended...ride safe everyd body.
In your P settings do you have a setting at P12 available? Range of 0 to 5. 5 for strongest starting torque, 0 for the least. I have seen an S8s owner report good results of reducing start up twitch with this set at 1.
Make sure you have pushed plus and minus buttons together after your setting to save the setting. I've only had a S10s for a couple days. I didn't even have it yet when I posted above. I started with P12 torque on 1 out of the box and have done about 40 miles. Like you, it still didn't feel like it was where it needed to be. Then I set torque to 0 and it was like magic. On 0 it feels like you would hope it to when you roll on the throttle coming out of a curve or a carve. It feels just like a motorcycle taking a couple heartbeats to get past the lower rpms and then pulling smooth and hard as it climbs. All the jerkiness of the first ¼ turn of the throttle is gone. Setting at P15 may interest you to mess with. It is the power output in percentage. Try it at 80 and see if it suits you. It does tamper that low speed jerkiness but at the cost of acceleration. After a little experimenting I went back to 100% A tragically short deck and the front geometry creating a short wheelbase makes the jerkiness worse than it should be. If the deck was about 3 inches longer you could get the rear foot further back to widen the stance and this scooter would be unbeatable. I am still getting used to having to aggressively push off the kicktail with my rear foot so much like I am leaning into a windstorm. I am starting to settle into the feel now though and carving is almost feeling as good as other scooters I ride. I think with a little more time it will surpass them. You could put foot pegs to the side of the kick tail which would allow your rear foot to come further back and would stabilize your upper body on the acceleration big time. I have this in my plans. Search for the video on “David's how-to's” channel with this title - “Joyor s10s & s5 Foot peg install bolts are M8-1.25 x 60mm “
Does weight affect the performance of these things much? Im 5'3 and only weigh 130, so Im small compared to..... nearly every other guy in the US, so would it travel further, or faster?
Gonna pay more for split rim design wheels, to make it easier to change flats. For this reason alone I don’t want this scooter. Looking at Mantis 8 (2024) or Mantis 10 lite.
Has split rim, but still is not easy. The tools are hard to find if they do not come with them. I bought it used. The screws are locked with locktite. I got them off with PBblaster. Also I did not use the specialty tools. They would have been nice, but I painfully got it done. I used wooden wedges to get the arms wide enough.
Shit I weigh 310 and I've put 1800 miles on mine i bought the split rim option for mine and just cut a slot on an old 18mm socket that I had for the back and u actually don't have to take it all the way apart to change the rear tire I've had to change it like 6 times already cuz the city don't clean the streets around here 😅
I think they look pretty good, looks like they compete with the Joyor s10 in price and spec. I think if I’m going to spend more than $1000 USD, I might just spring for an Apollo Ghost. I think those are solid. I was originally hoping to get a used Apollo but couldn’t find a good deal. Dual motor would be nice on the uphill climbs.
@@dlhansebetter get one before they sell out. They told they are “phasing it out” aka discounting it after they sell remaining stock in the US it’s already sold out completely here in Canada. I own one and it’s a great scooter you will love it ride safe out there bud

They fixed that issue on my s5 the wire to the motor is not in the bolt no more witch is awesome

I do everything bud I’ll check the pads and tires for air
you forgot to put the link, where to buy it
Hello I just buy one, but Im worriend because doesnt climb uphill, with very low impulse, but in flat it speed until 49 km/h, do you think is normal ?
Do you typically ride with no safety gear?
Do you know what the usable deck length is? From where the bracet meets the deck to the end of the deck before the lip.
I love my joyor s5 I hit the 31mph at 190lbs awesome video man
That’s good to know. I also noticed how much the air pressure effects speed today. The rear tire was a little low and it slowed me down quite a bit.

Also how do I know if battery defective
It could be that
Did those tires say max weight 185lbs ?????
How do u factory reset
