Two and a half weeks, 40 items and first sale on Poshmark today. I made $4. And I don't care I'm over the moon! Thanks for a cute video
Even if buyers don't appreciate the effort you put into packaging your sales, you can feel good knowing you provided quality service. ✨
I think that what you’re doing is super thoughtful definitely not dumb. Thank you for this great video!
Same and I am a seasoned reseller!
I agree! It's very helpful and she makes things feel more professional and it's definitely not dumb🙇🏼♀️
I agree, it was very helpful and I like that the customer will have a nice experience opening the package.
Hi did you know there is clear adhesive shipping label protectors sold on Amazon and you can just slip in the shipping label and stick it to your package? It’s so much easier!
When I see details like this when I appreciate it and make sure to review the seller immediately. Your time and effort shows, and no you're not crazy, its professional!
I love how you keep questioning yourself but you don't have too, honestly it doesn't matter but it's a personal thing! You keep doing you, I'm envious at your packaging skills
Great video :) I used to buy thank you cards from Dollar Tree but then that became an additional cost so what I now do is I use the extra paper I cut from the shipping label and write my thank you note in there coz I hate wasting paper :) those polymailers are cute!
I had my first sale today and I did this same thing! I feel better now lol I thought I was being corny but I didn’t want to waste any of the paper
This is very helpful. I just had my first sale on poshmark I don’t even know how to control myself 😂 considering this is the only thing I have in my closet but I’m gonna get rid of more stuff so thank you for the video ! 😁💕
This was the opposite of boring - you were clear & concise & showed everything I wanted to see, without adding a lot of unrelated chatter!
I've watched hundreds of videos on this subject & yours is one of the Few I've been able to watch all the way through, because you stayed on topic the whole time - which is exactly why I found this video so helpful!
I love watching genuine order packing videos, I find them useful but also quite satisfying/calming (the same way cleaning videos can be satisfying/calming to watch)
All this to say: Tysm for sharing your tips with us - I love the extra touches, like the thank-you stickers & cards - it really makes a difference & it's not silly at all!
I'd love to know where you got your flat lay background from - I'm going to see if you've already made a video on it.
Thanks again!
I actually try to leave a little bit of space where I fold and seal my polymailer because if it's folded too snug against the item, you run the risk of the buyer accidentally cutting into it
Holy crap you’re right! Whoops. I been closing mine with no space! I will stop and do it your way from now on. So simple yet brilliant. Fr
Thanks for sharing! I'm new to Posh and made some sales in Jan 2022. I really wish I would have watched this video before I had shipped out expensive items. Still got good rating for my items but I wasn't thinking as a business person. Now I am. You're my first go to video for Posh wrapping, packaging, shipping ideas. So this was very much appreciated. Nice work!
I love your attention to detail. It shows that you take care of your items and that you care about your customer. Thank you for the helpful information.
I have just recently started my own poshmark journey, so watching this 3 years later. Can I say this is all SO helpful and not silly at all. You’re the cutest thing ever!! Thank you so much for all of the tips!!!
Clearly I'm binging youtube today with all of my comments haha! BUT, Dymo 4 XL is LIFE changing! First of all, it's heat transferred/thermal so ZERO ink needed. I order rolls maybe 2 times a year and they last forever since they are rolls of 200 labels. Second.... you can use it for other things. I make label stickers with mine for organizing my stuff. Sometimes I make funny labels for boxes that are ugly if I am shipping on Mercari, I use it for labeling storage bins for the basement, I even make a general thank you message that I stick on my cellophane bags etc etc.
Wow thanks for those tips! I always just assumed those were limited to shipping labels only. I’ve been using my regular printer. I’ll invest in a dymo!!
The attention to detail is what made me subscribe. First of your videos I've watched.
I love the way to package your items. It shows that you care. It is actually good advice as well.
Thanks so much for the detailed information! I really appreciate it!
Please don't say 'this sounds dumb', because it's not...it's detailed, accurate and thoughtfully packaged!
Hanna, you are such a beautiful person, thank you for sharing this video in which you showed me the simplicity of packing and shipping.
Enjoy the rest of your day and stay safe.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad the video was helpful ❤️
I appreciate this … now that I made 1k in sales I feel I can spend on packing now . Wanted some ideas . Def need to step my game up.
Best Poshmark guidence video!!!! Not boring at all and very informative 🥳
So glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
What you do isn't silly at all and I am sure those who shop with you will remember how nicely packaged it was and will return. I used to sell on Ebay years ago and the most of my comments were about how nicely I packaged things :0) x
Your attention to detail, maybe extreme, made me a new subscriber and now I want to check out your closet. It's not dumb, it's caring. Thanks for a wonderful system.
I absolutely adore your organization skills. This was super helpful. Definitely using your ideas later when I start doing my Poshmark sales. Thanks! ☺️
That’s so kind of you to say! Glad it was helpful 😊
Yes! This was a very helpful video. You are putting such love and care into every aspect of your business. You are very efficient, intelligent and creative! I’m so thankful for your guidance.
I'm from AZ too. Just started reselling. Thanks for the tips. This was more informative than the ones I've seen.
Thank you!
I love my bread bags! I hate those stiff, rigid kind with the sticky flap. I like the sticky flap, but the stiffness in the bags give them that cheap "from China" vibe, bc those are what thing's from there come from.
P.S. I put a thank you sticker on the back of my TY cards.
Hannah, anything you do and have a reason for doing is not dumb. You are doing what you think is right. If it gives you peace of mind. Its right! Great job!
I use plastic bags too! Not the bags you use but just clear, ziploc bags I bought online. I feel like it protects the items better than just sticking in a poly or box. Maybe because I live in WI lol...but I package my items as if they were going to be sitting in an inch of snow :)
That is very kind of you! A book I bought a few weeks ago got ruined because my mail person left it on the front steps in a rain storm. That was NOT the sellers fault but I do wish they had done more than just wrap it tightly in brown paper.
I live in WI too & I use tissue paper around my clothes too which makes it kinda of like a present and less pokey.. I’m going to try plastic protection bags though because I’ve thought about it and this confirms that I need to do that!
Thank you so much for the tips! I love the twist tie bags concept for clothing...much better than using tissue paper!
we use the extra paper from labels to pack in the boxes around wrapped shoes etc :)
Hi! I see so many people complementing you on you packaging strategy and I too think it’s very thoughtful, but it buffles me that no one reacts to how wasteful it is…
You package your items in not one, but two layers or unnecessary plastic just for the cute looks. For me as a customer it would be much more important to see that the seller cares about the environment and spares the plastic. It would feel awful for me to have to throw all those plastic bags I get for ordering one sweater. It is still 100% possible to wrap sth sustainably and pretty.
Don’t mean to criticize you, you seem to be a very thoughtful and caring person, so here is just some food for thought! Especially since people come here for tips, you could inspire many to think more sustainably about the packaging.
All best, M
Exactly. The shipping bags can be easily purchased on amazon made from recycled paper and not expensive at all. And the second plastic layer is completely useless. It is highly unlikely that the package will get soaked in the Mail
I do the same thing with the packaging, I think presentation is everything. It doesn't matter whether it is new or used . I appreciate every sale!🤗
With how much time you put into your packaging and careful and compassionate thoughts, imma go and buy something from your store because I love your dedication ! ❤️
Really appreciate the time you have taken to explain it all .
The care you take with your packaging is awesome😀
I do have some advice for your printer, ahah! I've found the dollar tree sells 4x6 labels by jot you can use in your regular printer, they're basically 5.5 cents (at 18 labels for a dollar) and they stick. You could literally get them to send it to your local dollar tree via online or pay for ups shipping (six bucks). the only issue you will run into is needing to buy 24 packs of them at once. I find them handy, but today I sold my first poshmark item and had an issue with the printing size, so you may want to work the bugs out with the printer on regular paper first before wasting labels like i did :( haah.
@6:36 GIRL YOU DONT SOUND DUMB IM THE SAME ! It’d bother me so much if it wasn’t in the middle lol 😂 but great video ! I just started poshmark & you’ve helped so much, thank you
Great vid! Presentation IS EVERYTHING!💕
I finally made my first sale on Poshmark after almost a month of being on there and this video came in super handy!
Thanks! I found this super helpful! Your packages look very professional 😊
You’re the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Love these ideas, thank you for sharing!
i cant stop laughing. thhank you for the very detailed video.. I think i will finally get some sleep tonight!!! Love your channel Hannah!! You're killing it girl!!
You don't sound crazy at all. I would definitely put just as much love and care into my packaging for my customers as well!
Thanks for showing me these tricks for packaging them to make them look better! Totally would not of thought of those bags. You rock!
You are so silly 🙃 loved the video!
How do you send out the packages? Do you just go to your local post office and where do you put them at the post office?
I love how detailed you are! 🥳 It’s not dumb at all / never think you’re weird for being particular, and for putting a lot of thought into your processes, because believe me, people like me notice the thoughtful details!!! Thank you for sharing your process! I would totally buy from you with confidence, knowing how much thought and care you put into your products and service. I wish you so much success!! New subscriber here! 💕💕
Thank you for your kind words!! I love the packaging process, so I hope the buyers appreciate it 💘
Great video! Very informative. You are so sweet and thoughtful to your customers. Your ideas on where you place your shipping labels, etc, are a perfect way to do it. I am going to do the same thing when I get started selling. Blessings!
I do the same thing with the way I insert my flaps! It's SMART. So is checking where the fold will be so you know where to place the label!!
I fold it down to. Thank you for showing this. I love your thank you cards.
You are not crazy Lol I package the same...Even go as far as putting tape OVER the closure just to make sure it doesnt open during transit LOL >.< ugh I blame it on my OCD. But at the same time I want my customers to open their packages like a present =)
This is so helpful! Thank you so much. Gave me so many ideas. You inspired me to be more creative!!!
ROFL.... 'But for my sanity'. I get you girl. It's healthy OCD. Your packages are adorable. Thanks for the great ideas!
New to Poshmark, so I appreciated this video! And you and I are the same girl, very particular.. everything has to be centered, straight, tight etc etc. Thanks again for the video!
I’m so happy to hear it was helpful! Haha gotta love the attention to detail! 😉
We are the same person when it comes to shipping. My husband thinks I’m CRAZY because I will literally redo the entire package if something folds the wrong way or if there is a bubble. 😭
Yes, I have absolutely started over due to a bubble 😂
As a fellow perfectionist with a small art shop, I can 100% relate to every detail lol
Thank you for such an insightful video! We are brand new to this but I want to come out of the gates running, this helped a lot! Thank you!
{Just realized that this is a year old, but I've already typed out the comment, so...} I used to try to match the card to the item - now I just make sure the card/sticker/whatever doesn't clash with the item. Also, I put every. Single. Item. in plastic because I sent someone a coat once, USPS somehow caused the box to have ripped holes in it (ran over it? I can't imagine), and then dirty water seeped into the box and ruined the coat (it was one of those super cool long suede, sherpa-lined coats - $199 sale! Thankfully, Posh still released my funds) I enjoy watching your videos :)
Thank you, I really enjoyed this video How soon after getting an order do you need to ship?
- The info is VERY helpful. Luv your attention to detail with shipping. Caring is important. Thanx 4 sharing.
Wow! You are so precise! Kudos to you for your effort!
I was searching for poly bags to ship my items from mercari and poshmark and stumbled upon your channel. And I am so glad I did. Thank you for showing how you package your items. I am going to have to try the plastic bag trick that you use :) BTW.. your poshmark closet is Awesome!
Thank you Stacey! Happy to have you here 😊
I love all of your ideas its simple tricks but VERY helpful and also i think the way you are packaging if i got something from your closet i think i could fill the care that you put in it to make it very professional... GREAT IDEAS thank you so much for posting this video ... OH AND THE BAGS from walmart lets just say I'm glad i clicked your video LOVE that idea , just all around great video ... thanks
Good stuff!!! Just starting and glad I have a hold on my computer lol. You can go girl but I am getting so much info from you. Thank you
Thanks for doing such an in depth video. Its not dumb at all to take so much care in Shipping.
We're well into our Posh journey and still use our regular Canon printer and the free 4x6 USPS priority mail labels and just adjust the size to 4x6 and 70% when printing :) Make the change as soon as you can it's nuts how much time and hassle it saves you
Thanks for that great tip! I already have a Rollo printer by this point but that’s a great option for a regular printer!
I use my one paper, print out my label, and on the other half write a note with my custom font 😊 I hope to one day become this successful with my poshing, thanks!
very organized !!
This is SUPER informative and detailed, I love it! You make me feel like i can actually sell my clothes when i declutter my closet! BUT! That backdrop... where did you get it? Or how did you make it?!!
This is a great video! A+ I love all the lil steps you take. Everything looks so professional and with a thoughtful personal touch! Thankyou for sharing this video! Love it!!!
I loveeeeed it 😫💗 thank you for sharing and caring for so much for every order
Hi, I'm absolutely loving your videos (new sub)! I just wanted to give you heads up, the usps workers don't like if we cover the barcode with tape because it's harder for them to scan and thus sometimes they have to enter the numbers manually, just wanted to let you know so you don't run into any troubles!
thanks for this. I literally just did this today🤦🏻♀️. now I know for next time!
Dont worry about it! I’ve shipped 600 packages with no issues ❤️
@@HannahAlonzo Only just wanted to inform since it says it on the usps website 😊
Thank you!
hi! after you pack them do you just drop them at usps? do you have to pay for anything when you drop them off? and what do you prefer for packaging the items? Polymailers or the usps box?
Very helpful! I’m new to Poshmark so I appreciate it!
I use those exact bags =) Saw another Posher do the same a couple yrs back and thought- perfection! =) Thanks for sharing your info too. Blessings, Sommer
So organized!!! I’m tempted to put in the time copy some of your methods ☺️
Poshmark just landed in Australia, so this is super helpful thank you so much! 🙏
Oh my gosh that’s so awesome!! I love that Poshmark is expanding!
I loved this so much! Thank you!
Super helpful ... I love the care, personality and thoughtfulness you put into your business. Thank you!
This video was so helpful omg !! ❤️
i love how you packaged your stuff.
Im addicted to watching your postmark videos! Thanks for all the tips :)
Thanks for watching Maddy! Happy they’re helpful 😊
Not sure if you ever got your label printer but I just use label sticky paper in my normal printer and I print in landscape so there’s 2 labels on a page.
I haven’t gotten one yet! This is a great tip that I’ll have to try out, thank you!!
You are absolutely delightful, I very much needed this thank you, also what brand is your lipstick I'm obsessed
Thank you so much! And oh gosh, I don't fully remember! I think it was a L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick!
@@HannahAlonzo Thanks hun, I've sold some items so I've been keeping your tips in mind, thank you!
Thank you for the video. You seem like a sweet thoughtful person.
Great video! I just finished filming a pack my orders with me video and then watched yours. Such a great tip to fold the polymailers over so the item is more secure. I will definitely be doing that from now and will shout you out in my next pack with me video for the great tip. It makes the package look more presentable also!
Thank you so much for this incredibly helpful video! I’m learning so much from your channel!
Thanks for your support Katherine!
Ur very thoughtful 🤔. Cause I’m over here like huuummmm maybe I should start doing some of these things when I ship my stuff 😔😂
I usually fold the paper on the label so I don’t waste time cutting… LOL but cutting probably makes it look more neat.
Love this so much! ❤️❤️ Also, did you have to weigh your packages as well??
Thank you for this video , well put together and very informative, && I love how neat your packaging is
I’m dying at how you felt so weird being so anal because I just started my poshmark account & I just KNOW I’m going to be this particular about shipping my items out. It shows as a seller you care!! ❤️
What is your closet name?
This is really helpful and organized! I’m so jealous. Thank you!
Do they charge you a fee for using your own poly mailers? Because I know the priority boxes are free at usps but I wanted to know if they charge you for using your own poly mailers. Please reply because I’m currently trying to send a package and want to do it nice and presentable! (:
Thanks so much for a great video. I tried finding the bags on Walmart but can’t find it. They have the zippered ones. Can you provide a serial number that I can use to look it up? Or is it discontinued? Thank
Nice job, my husband packages the same way. It shows you like to do things well done. Keep it up. :)
Thanks for sharing, Hannah! I also fold my polymailers to suit the size of the item inside :)
SO THOUGHTFUL. It all matters. Thank you.
Loveeee this video!!! God bless your business and thank you for this tips
Wow I'm trying to start selling amd learn so much from ur video!! I loved all the detail you put amd how you explained everytging!! Thank you great video. I dont have alot of money to invest it was wondering n if any box or envelope would do to get started? Thanks
Happy to help! Yes any box or envelope you have will work! 😊
