Been a fan of Don Broco for about 6 years now. By far my favourite band. Love the direction they’re going in but Priorities is easily my favourite album. Seen them 3 times now and they’re just as good live. I think I remember hearing them saying they sent Bruce Willis a early version of the track to see what he thought and he didn’t understand what it was 🤣
One of my all time favourite groups, seen them 3 times now and everytime incredible, as always thanks for your honest and input Justin. Fresh to see some authenticity on this platform.
It's Broco like broke-o. Apparently one of them had a broken arm, someone used the term Don Loco in conversation and the one with the broken arm said "more like Don broke-o!" And I believe the joke was received well. On another note - I'm not fun at parties.
don broco are my favourite band of all time, i've been a fan for 7 years, they're the most insane band i've ever saw. seen them 5 times, 6 times in march 2023 and they're the best. the amount of energy that they have on stage is unbelievable, especially si. i could watch si play and kick and jump allllll day. my faves 4eva
I'm so glad you've covered these! I've only recently been introduced to these and I absolutely love their passion along with the variety of styles they go through within each album! 💪
A lot of their songs are designed to be live, so absolutely right when you mentioned it would be good live. Definitely agree with some of the comments, although Bruce Willis is a really fun, simple song. There are definitely songs that better showcase the bands abilities. One true prince is probably their stand out from this album - their performance at the royal Albert hall recently was something special and I’d recommend listening to Easter Sunday lave at royal Albert hall which they have just released on their UA-cam channel.
So weird seeing your musings after the big darkness track was played in my house religiously as a kid. And to top it off your genuinely funny - keep smashing it
I got into these guys when technology came out. This songs great but it doesn't really showcase Don Broco at their technical best. One true prince would've been an awesome one to react to. Just go through their catalogue anyway. I'm sure you'll love it!
Omg, he's standing on the taxi driven by Bruce Willis in the 5th Element, which took place 200 years roughly in the future where all the cars can fly around like harriers but they still have traffic jams because New York never changes lol.
I remember supporting Don Broco a few times back while they were recording Big Fat Smile. I remember hearing them play Thug Workout and Chemistry from backstage and everyone looked at each other and just thought "Yep, these guys are going to make it." It was amazing to hear something like Thug Workout in 2008/2009. It felt so ahead of its time, and sort of proved to be. Bands like Marmozets, Press To MECO, and Arcane Roots all followed suit while Broco moved on with Priorities and have never really stayed the same from release to release.

In answer to your comment Justin, if vinyl flooring is so popular, to save materials perhaps an alternative would be to use Ed Sheehan albums instead? Just a thought…
Don Broco (Bro-co?) are awesome, and so is your channel Justin. Its arrival has coincided spectacularly well with me getting a decent stereo after so many years without and fully rediscovering music, not to mention the Darkness. Good stuff, keep it coming! 👍🏻

That tour was my introduction to them as well. I had never heard of them and was hooked after the first song. They were one of the best live bands I had seen in a while. I remember a friend and I were saying how we felt bad for DGD having to go on after them! But I left that show, looked them up, and jammed the Technology album heavy for the next few months. Been a fan ever since.
Great shirt. Freddie King was a legend. Help Me Through The Day, with Leon Russell backing him on piano is a masterpiece. They're two titans that don't get enough attention in my estimation.
@@indyinsc Didn't realise the original commenter was sitting next to you. 😅 And I'm well aware of the song since a) I already said I'm not disputing what the OP said, and the shirt is from the show *_of the same name_* of the song, and b) I'm a fan of the show and have heard the intro song many times. However, the OP made no mention of the show, hence my comment. Hope that's more intelligible for you. Have a great day / night.
Hey man! I’ve been loving the critiques of modern music, but would you ever do critiques of older music? Would love to see you go through some old Beatles albums song by song and deconstruct them for example, or maybe the Stones or Led Zep? I know it’s a well-trodden path but I’d genuinely like to see you break them down both structurally and lyrically from a musician’s point of view
