I just took my air brake test and failed by 2 points I didn’t study but my trainer also didn’t make things clear for me so I’m here and will try again tomorrow hopefully 🤞🏾
It’s all of the technical words that get me but you’ll get it if you haven’t. Don’t give up! I take mine in a week and I’m studying like crazy but every time I practice I freeze up because I want to make sure I say it how they want me to.
You were suppose to release the parking break when doing applied pressure test. So you apply your foot to the service break, release the parking break let the needles stabilize and then your minute begins
Testing for leaks twice at the beginning is not applicable in Delaware. We only test for leaks, emergency buzzer and spring brake, parking brake and finally service brakes .
The thing I dislike about this whole bus test is the technical words they want us to use when no one uses them in their everyday life. I get it though and our short video gets right to the point. I don't see why there are so many 10 minute or more videos out there lol.
Cut in should be no less than 85 PSI. Cut out should be no more than 130 PSI. When doing the static test the bus is off with the key in the n position (do not start) all you do is wait one minute, you should not lose anymore than 2 PSI. why are you releasing the parking brake for the static? With the applied you apply the service brake & release the parking brake, wait one minute, you should not lose more than 3 PSI.
@@nojunkmonk to test standards you need your foot on the brake when you release the parking brake until gauges settle. Also During a test for the CDL you dont have chocks bc the point of this test is to test for air leaks but to also see if the parking brake will hold when you put it in drive.
I've been looking for a quick easy refresher and this is perfect, thanks!

Any luck the second time?

@@DeiHarper9361frfr I understand 👍🏿
You got it
Update I passed thank you 🙏🏾
Not shown here, but you must also make sure the build-up from 85-100psi takes no more than 45 seconds.
I guess it’s different for everyone because my study book doesn’t mention that.
He did that

Thanks for this pre-trip air brakes review!
This is the best air bake test video I have watched on UA-cam for what I needed. Thanks
Right? I’m binge watching as if it were a series 😅
Great Video. I appreciate that you've combined all the brakes test in one video. 👌🏾🤩👍🏾
Finely someone know what they are doing.
I’m having to do this all because I want my endorsements smh 😂 I didn’t know I had to learn how to drive a dang bus 😂
Great video but in NYC we have the wig wag drop at 80psi before the red light and buzzer at 60psi
Wig wag right in NYc that’s where I am. I was wondering what happen to wigwag?
Never heard of this wig wag
Michigan change their terminology to before 55 psi on the alarm check and around 40 on the pop out.
Same in Florida
Iam good with the information, use chocks on the wheels !! Your good

Thank you so much for your time this video help me a lot.
Thank you so much
GREAT video 😊
Thank you
Thank you. I'll use this video for study and hopefully pass mine in Oregon.
Might be helpful to some to show how you log your results. Maybe another video!?!
Great video
More please❤❤
Very helpful

I agree ☝️

Good bro
This is wrong. If you were on a hill you’d start rolling bc you pushed in the parking brake and didn’t have your foot on the service brake.
You must chock wheels before brake test begins

@@nojunkmonkyou will lose points depending on who your tester is. Always have your foot on the brake if the wheels aren’t chocked
That's why the tires are chocked first!
You didn't do a cut in
Like the video im study for my exam hope i pass the test
i canot hear nothing
