This episode is totally nostalgic for me. As a kid, my older brother and I had a whole bunch of these toys. Nice trip down memory lane.

Dad said that he should have bought the entire line back then. He only realized decades later how valuable these toys in mint and complete condition are. This is because he always see me and my sister putting all our toys inside the big boxes without care, so most of these wouldn't even last a year.
Yeah, wouldn't it have been great of they saved stuff for us?

Gozer is seen in the season 2 episode Ghost Busted; and referenced in the season 2 episode The Collect Call of Cathulhu; the season 2 episode Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster; the season 2 episode The Revenge of Murray the Mantis; the season 2 episode Devil in the Deep; the season 2 episode Captain Steel Saves the Day; in the season 2 episode I Am The City Winston remarks "I thought we agreed no more gods"; and is again referred to in the season 6 episode The Haunting of Heck House which also references the library incident.
The season 5 episode Elementary My Dear Winston also references the library incident.
Peter says he saved the world once in the season 2 episode A Fright at the Opera.
Terror dogs were seen in the season 2 episode Egon's Ghost; the season 3 episode The Copycat; and two of them appear in the season 5 episode Jailbusters. They were reference in the season 2 episode Adventures in Slime And Space

I hope you plan to do another episode on the Filmation Ghostbusters toys. I had a bunch and watched that cartoon too, and when playing I just crossed the toys all together. Like, I didn't have an Ecto1, my Real Ghostbusters rode around in that awesome Filmation transforming flying car instead. I still have as many of those guys and ghosts as I do original Real guys, too, but man I miss that car. I never knew about the 70s movie til later, but as a kid it didn't matter. And call me a dork but I always used the foam beam for the proton pack, and I loved the ghost popper too. My lightsaber at the time was a solid plastic tube that made a whang sound when you swung it and didn't light up at all, I was used to compromise.
I really love the Filmation Ghostbuster. I have a lot of the toys, but none of the vehicles and playsets.
@@Pegwarmers I haven't seen the 70's movie, but I remember I think I liked their cartoon better than the Real one sometimes, they had a great goofy aesthetic and ghost logo. The car was gigantic, it had extending legs for the wheels (rubber tires), plus wings and a nosecone and tail for a plane mode, and it was about the size of that He Man walking robot spider thing when it was all folded out.
I had definitely seen the first movie before the cartoon and the toys. And I very vividly remember being at a Laneco store and seeing the toys when they came out…begged my Dad to buy me Peter (of course he did) and I was hooked. Had all the first wave and vehicles and the Firehouse. Like other toy lines, I wasnt stoked on the waves that featured the guys in various wacky outfits and features (only had Ray from the Fright Features line because he had the goggles on). Had the “slimed” Louis later on as well. Had and loved the Universal Monsters (except the Hunchback). As far as the role play stuff….had the proton pack, the trap, and a Ghostbusters II jumpsuit that I remember finding at Clover in the Palmer Mall in Easton, PA.
Over the years I either sold my stuff at yard sales, lost it, or defaced it (I turned the Ecto-1 black with a paint marker 🤦🏻♂️ and added graffiti to the side of the Firehouse).
A couple years ago, my Wife let me buy a huge Ghostbusters lot off ebay that had pretty much everything…most of the figure waves, the main vehicles and the Firehouse. Best wife ever! 😅

That stuff was pure fun.
I remember having quite a bit of these. The werewolf and vampire figures were my favorite.

Universal's Hunchback is much like Phantom of the Opera in that both are romantic tragedies that got turned into horror movies.
Yeah, it's an interesting similarity. They found a formula.

Hmm, I see the pole missing once in a while, but I never see just the pole for sale.

Had most of the first wave as a little boy. Thought they were cool, but I didn't play with them much.
I remember the last Colorforms set I had. It was for Jurassic Park. Couldn't have been a more lazy design. Just a stock, birds eye view of trees on the island for the background and cutouts of stock photos of Grant, Ellie, and Lex, a few of the dinosaurs, and the Explorer. None of them were in proper scale, and they didn't even have the T-Rex!
Some of the choices on colorforms are odd.

They made 4 Janine's. She's also in super fright features, wave 3 and power pack heroes, wave 5.
I forgot about the Super Fright features one, and I'm not sure if I have ever seen the Power Pack one before. Now I want her because she doesn't have a silly gimmick.
Sadly I was watching tv as a child after both shows had ended, so my only connection to ghostbusters was watching parts of the movie in tv and trying to figure out the plot

My brother's and myself had the universal monsters and all the ghosts in Monsters with Ghostbusters
I had the firehouse, the ecto one and every figure outside Winston
Plus Rays (the scared one included)
I had the firehouse is that in the best shape anymore same with my ecto-1 I played with my toys the same with the helicopter and the praying mantis car had a proton pack given to me from a yard sale that my mom found

Sadly, Hasbutt and Hasblow can not think of new toys so they rehash old figure's with crappy plastics and junk accessories ..enough about value people ...pull your head out of ass and enjoy the toys ...rip em open ...gawd
