- I screamed, I cursed, I threw my controller across the floor, but I needed that sweet Platinum. Here are I what I think are the 5 hardest levels in Astro Bot.
Also.... I was not expecting to see THAT character at the end of Great Master Challenge?! 😂

The amount of times I accidentally double jump on dashing dillo is embarrassing
Your not the only one
Same !
I ended up giving away my dillo ball at the very last jump... thankfully it still lets me jump sufficiently high to complete the stage
A little over 25 minutes for you to beat the Great Master Challenge? 😂 Shit took me 5 hours
damn im guessing you didn't play mario galaxy as a kid 😂
It Took me an hour and 10 minutes
It took me 1 hour and 40 min
@@georgeyounan5816 nope lol
Wow 5 hours is a lot. I think it was less than one for me. A lot of these hard levels is learning the pattern and gaining some muscle memory on the timing of the buttons to press
Splashing Sprint was the toughest for me next to the last level. I spent at least a couple of sessions trying to beat it lol. I remember having to put the game down and come back to it because it was so frustrating. It was the fact that the ducks ran out so quickly and not knowing to throw the duck at the enemy at the first part that caused a couple of tries lol.
Same to me, that fire spiting frog almost got me insane
I agree. Splashing Sprint was the worst
I even made it hard Mode without throwing the duck, it was super frustrating
Yeah Splashing sprint must have taken me 30-40 attempts 😂
Yeah that one was pretty tough
At 2:51 you were not the only one that didn’t know to jump 😅
I'd legit put Crumble Rumble 3 in there, the one with the bells. I got the maddest playing that one.
I genuinely considered it
oh this one pissed me off so bad
There's a technique you can do which makes that one pretty easy. You have to jump around the bells in a counterclockwise flower pattern.
@ i eventually got it it just took a million tries
Crumble Rumble 3 is the first level that showed this ain’t no cake walk
For anyone still struggling with Splashing Sprint at the firewall/slime bit: After triggering it you can jump out and back to the start of that platform and follow the fire instead. Jump out and around it when it comes back.
I'm so jealous of the people who didn't 100% this game. They wouldn't have to go through the hell these levels were.
The hardest levels (in my opinion)
1. Great Master Challenge
2. Splashing Sprint
3. Dashing Dillo
4. To The Beat
5. Vertical Velocity
Crumble Rumble 3 was an absolute bastard.
Oh this too, it took me over an hour to get that done and I still think I fluked it lol
It wasnt too bad, i think im saying this cus my friends were there at the time for moral support 😂😂😂
Why was 3 harder than 4???
@@CDavis-bg4vv all you have to do is kill the enemies on 4, you don't have to cut a circle in the floor and make them drop.
Wait until you see Crumble Rumble 5
I was nodding at you top three. But I think some of the later Crumble Rumble and Retro Rampage levels deserve a mention.
While not THE HARDEST LEVEL, for me Crumble Rumble 3 with the bells was by far the most annoying level in the whole game.
@@edwardstebbing-allen5539That one almost made me give up
I HATE splashing sprint. I got really good at the first section but that run with the black slime is what killed so many runs. It only took me 3 tries of the rest of the map to figure it out. It just took me like 100+ JUST TO GET THERE THOUGH.
The trick is to throw the ducks to clear the black slime first. The flames don’t chase you until you move past the duck.
so funny cuz i was ass at the first part and died about 100 times (not exaggerating) but beat the slime first try
That challenge did give me a hard time
It took my 50 minutes to do the level and i genuinly NEVER died in that one, i died 7 times on the very last level which i got to ON MY FIRST ATTEMPT
It's the complete lack of checkpoints, my god.
Play the game "Rayman Legends" remix levels and invasion paintings and you'll get used to it
Still much more forgiving than most well known platformers
@@YurimoHikashi he's just saying how to get used to it, not get your ass kicked 😂
@@TISUAL invaded infiltration station is the WORST level on earth
@@veto_real yep that's one of them
I can tell by the last one, that I will never get it and I’m actually ok with that. Awesome video, thank you.
Don’t give up. You got this!! 💪🏼
I suck at platformers and I got it eventually. If I can do it you can too😊
I try it every so many days. It’s so long and you have to be perfect for like 3 minutes straight. It’s not worth the stress lol
@@TheCap10Jmoski but the relief you get after that incredible stress makes it so worth it!
It's all muscle memory. Once you reach consistently a new area, the path to it becomes easy.
I somehow had more attempts on to the beat then I did on the final challenge
It was the birds at the end
I finally just now got the platinum… must say the satisfaction you get completing the great master challenge is unreal… took me so many attempts but finally got there in the end 😃👍🏻 such a good game
@@michaelcobbold2119 congrats! 👏🏼🏆
Personally I found Dashing Dillo to be by far the hardest level. Something about the jumps while on the ball was so funky to deal with. Great Master Challenge the first half of is actually surprisingly consistent.
I took GREAT pleasure at your suffering, because I actually sprained my right thumb trying to squeeze out one more nanosecond of elevation to escape jets of flame, lava etc. throughout this incredible game. lol... I just finished it last night, and loved every second of it, numb right hand included! 😂❤
havent done no 1 yet but the inconsistency of the start of splashing sprint drove me nuts, it felt like there was no consistent strategy to get you past the lava floor and that damn frog at the beginning (i swear, the amount of times i had missiles following me all the way to the pumpkin on the other side without me realizing!)
Ha. That fkn frog! 🐸 The key to the beginning of Splashing Sprint is to always try and face the direction you want the water to be, before you jump and land.
@@Plat_Matt very true, im sure astro is holding the ducky on his right shoulder so the spray doesnt cover the left side as well, such a minor detail but just enough to get me tweaking 😆
What I learned about splashing sprint was jumping while holding the duck reduces the spread of the water. As soon as I landed on the lava I would cut to the left and snake around to the next duck. I would only jump if necessary.
As for the frog, it took me too many attempts to realize I could just throw the duck at it, lol.
😂😂😂😂
It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to restart the whole level every bloody time you die. I am glad you've named to the beat as the second hardest level, I'm ashamed at how long it's taking me to do that level.
Splashing sprint was by far the worst, but to be fair, most of the symbol levels gave me some sort of Super Meat Boy-ptsd. A few I got done on the first or second try, but your top 3 is definitely legit.
I found the master was easier for me than splashing sprint. On grand master I was able to learn from my mistakes and eventually master each section. Splashing sprint was just a bunch of bs that I eventually lucked my way through
Splashing spring near on killed me lol
Getting the platinum for this game was one sweaty experience 😅
"To the Beat" was infinitely more challenging than the master challenge.
I whould swap splashing sprint to second and to the beat to 3rd
I found To The Beat so much more frustrating because of all the constant timed elements. Splashing Sprint is easier once you get past the first few elements.
Splashing sprint was hard but I beat it last night. 😁
All of the shape challenges are TOUGH! 😩
I completed it yesterday and platinum the game and let me tell ya the last challenge was too much. I almost took out my nine and shot my tv. But I hung in there and completed it.
the ducky one took me more tries than it, wasnt too bad
It's one of the easiest platformers out there. Try Crash Bandicoot 4 or Mario Odyssey.
@@magius9866rage bait 4.5/10 made me a little mad but not super mad
@@magius9866
Tha main game in mario oddissey is very easy as well, I guess you are talking about the post game.
Crash 4 is one of the hardest platformers from recent times but only the endgame/postgame.
@@thetombraiderfan Depends. Mario Odyssey is non-linear and you can tackle some very hard challenges even during the main story if you explore.
As for Crash 4, I think that even the main game itself is VERY hard.
Honestly I also find Kirby and the Forgotten Land a much harder game than Astro Bot.
Splashing sprint is no joke, I first found the lava part hard and then that frog and then the oil part, it was almost as difficult as the grand master challenge for me.
I feel your pain on dashing dillo, and you still did it in less tries than I did. Well done!
I appreciate how you used the PaRappa outfit for "To the Beat"
@@MartynRice1 wouldn’t it have been perfect if I wore it for the final bot in the Grand Master Challenge 😅
Some of these levels are just pure evil. They need a checkpoint in them at the half way point. So many cheap deaths in these levels makes for more frustration when playing.
Maybe they can add a death count to these levels to see how many times you died before completing them.
I like the death count idea
Naw, I love having to do the whole thing. This is meant to appeal to the gamers who want a real challenge. They tried to appeal to all with this game and succeeded
To The Beat is easily Number 1 for me. It's been many many years since I felt such rage for a video game level... Grand Master Challenge was hard but I had more fun with it and didn't really get frustrated at all...
the last part was the only difficult thing there for me
@@PEELYPLAYZ It was the reverse for me
To The Beat was kinda easy once I figured out the pattern and timing to the traps, it becomes really straightforward.
Yeah me too my finger kept slipping
The fun part is that you have to do the entire part over and over again, since there are no checkpoints and only 1 life.
I'm not a jump n run fan and i played Astro bot as a relaxing Game. That wasnt relaxing lol
I HATED the last one, took me like 100 tries xD
To the Beat was such a hard time, that my brain had just erased it from my mind one day after I completed it!! 😅
And when I realised that for the platinum.. there was the Great Master Challenge... my menthal healt was like - 😭
That vertical run in Great Master Challenge was just destroying me for a long while. When I finally beat that segment, don't even ask me how, I managed to one-shot the rest of the stage!
Splashing sprint = hardship for 30 yrs 😢
@@ThyrogamesYT or 5 mins when you find out how to actually do it easily ua-cam.com/video/FgQvZr6KQTY/v-deo.htmlsi=B6mY5Ld8IYue4MB-
You just know Nintendo's lawyers scanned through this entire game hoping for something
Splashing sprint was the hardest for me BY FAR. So many attempts. The last one I actually managed in like 4 attempts. But splashing sprint made me wanna throw the controller at the tv.
People saying it took them 18 hours to 100% the game?? Took me 44 hours 😂😂😂
The water spraying one was the hardest for me, the last one above the golden statue felt like the easiest one
SCREW SPLASHING SPRINT!!!
The shape levels definitely caught me by surprise with how challenging they can be. Reminds me of the OG Crash Bandicoot levels
Splashing Sprint, Great Master and To the Beat were the hardest for me
15 minutes with Splashing Sprint? It took me 3 days! 🥵
👀👀
Same for me 🤣
Took me a whole month
Took me 40 years. I'm from the futute
Hopefully they continue these challenge levels in the sequel
yeah. it was the best part. game before these levels was just a long tutorial) hope they will release more hard short levels as dlc as often as they can...
Those screams of Astro... They haunt me!
Watching someone else play and fail at these levels the same way I did on repeat for ages gives me a weird PTSD one wouldn’t expect from a game like this
Splashing Sprint was hardest took over 2.5 hours. To the beat over an hour. Great master was about 45 mins for me.
more then 2 hours.) but after i discovered that you can throw duck into frog - i was so happy that i finished quiite quickly
Final level took me tons of attempts. I kept dying on the birds at the end. So frustrating! Finally decided instead of jumping through the middle, I’d hover around them. So happy when I eventually got it. GOTY for me.
I agree 🤝🏻
3:33 Without this frog , it will be much easier
It took me way to long to realise you could throw the duck at the frog to simplify things
@@HulgoLuis5585 you can kill the frog with the duck ua-cam.com/video/FgQvZr6KQTY/v-deo.htmlsi=B6mY5Ld8IYue4MB-
Yes to be Easy to Which out frog 🤬💢
@@JakubPrudil-o5s you can kill the frog before it shoots anything with the second dick
The genie one where the bells and pink electric skulls get you took me AGES
Меня больше разозлил босс хамелеон! У меня через раз срабатывала остановка времени, и приходилось умирать из-за этого!
Splashing Sprint and Great master Challenge for me
I find it helps having played Sackboy and the knitted knight trials. They are quite similar challenges. Birdy barrage reminded me of Sackboy
Well it looks like I'm not going to 100% this game 😞 These challenge levels are tough, not worth a smashed controller (or worse) to persist. Great video though, well done.
This levels are the reason i really dont want this game to be GOTY, the entire game is in one level of difficulty, and is so much fun, sometimes a little too easy, but it ok to be like that, in other hand, this levels are pure hate, frustration and sometimes made to annoy you, a game shouldnt annoy, must enjoy, and the fact that you need to pass trought this to "complete" the game is so wrong, all it need is a checkpoint in the middle, give a trophy to the ones who pass in one try, but don`t lock my bot frinds behind a dumb skill level if all the other parts of the game is butter easy, right now i`m missing 4 bots and the bonus one, fuck them.
i think these levels are the best part of the game. (only begining of splashing duck was kind of annoying, but after some time it was fun to easily run through everything) it was cool to hang around collecting stuff during most of the game, but for my taste it was too easy. there so many cool mechanics and physics for precise and clever platforming. glad that they gave at least a bunch of levels in the end with some challenge.
I think that Splashing Sprint was harder than that final level to 305th bot
To the Beat still gives me nightmares
Me watching your video - 😂
Me actually playing these levels myself - 🤬
Lol
Splashing Sprint was the worst for me. The Grand Master Challenge was tough, but fair. Whereas the first area of Splashins Sprint with the rubber ducky killed me so many times, and that rocket launching lizard was the WORST. It helped me a lot when I realized I could throw the ducky at him though.
@@Erredupizer he's easy when you know how to deal with him you just throw the duck at him he doesn't even get to fire ua-cam.com/video/FgQvZr6KQTY/v-deo.htmlsi=B6mY5Ld8IYue4MB-
We do not talk about the rubber ducks
dashing dillo was so hard my whole family sat on the couch taking turns trying to beat it
I’ll have to look up the frustrating levels but splash and to the beat are on there. I actually didn’t have too many issues with the grand master challenge and I’d rank it below most of the shape challenges.
Ohhh I'm so looking forward to the final challenge... I have a feeling I could use some bad words 😅🤬🤭😂
Splashing sprint was the hsrdest for me
Watching this is giving me anxiety from having to do these levels all over again haha. Splashing Sprint was easily #2 on my list very close tie with the great master challenge for #1
I thought the level you got Aegis was a pain in the ass. I redid that on stream for like 20min lol
I took a break from Grand Master Challenge since I had work the next day so excluding that, it took me like… 20-30 minutes to finish that
Splashing sprint was my last bot to get, after To the Beat. Tmrw I'll try to finish the master challenge.
List is spot on to be fair lol
Dashing dillo i got on the 2nd or 3rd try. Im still trying splashing sprint. That one is fkn miserable.
Edit: finally beat splashing sprint this morning. You absolutely cannot lose any kind of momentum when you get to the moving torch segment. Once you clear that spot you're golden.
@@likwid_smoke 2nd or 3rd?! 😭
I gotta come back and watch this again in a few days, I did not know they had another challenge. I finished the game. But I was so confused on reddit when people kept saying great master challenge until I saw this video. Stopped right at that part...I'll let it be a surprise when I get there. I wonder if there is an easier way to beat splashing sprint though🤔. I feel like with the lasers shown at 3:46, you really do have to move the camera. I think that's how it works for the lasers to go more slower. Also, people said you can throw the rubber duck at the frog, guess that helps with the rockets aim.
I do not mean to sound like a pro… but for me the challenge levels were just right, not super difficult, but just right! I’ve heard many people say, “to the beat” and “splashing sprint” were hard. But I did not think so.
Also the bit on splashing sprint with the ink, just do not touch it and you will be fine. There are plenty of places to land where there is no ink.
those challenges are pure cancer, those challenges manage to make you forgot all the fun you had previously
Splashing Sprint is the hardest for me. At least in the other lost void games I almost made it to the finish line a couple of times but in splashing sprint I didn't.
Splashing sprint
How many hours/days to complete: 10 Days
Completed?: yes
Attempts: 50 Attempts
Thoughts: The start was already hard for me man💀
I finally Platinum trophied Astro bot last night, I swear the Master Challenge was getting me so mad to the point where I didn’t play for a week, I come back and took me like 25 tries and then after BOOM completed 😭😭
@@NYC.J 👏🏼👏🏼
Splashing Sprint is what I'm stuck on now 😂😭😂
Yeah I ain’t getting this platinum am I 😂
You threw your controller? Come on man, it wasn't that bad!
I hate these levels, I have a 5 ur old next to me screaming I need to get the bot and puzzle pieces so she can unlock stuff ...so even more pressure
you dont need the bots from these levels to unlock puzzle pieces, but need at least some of these to unlock the last level, but i dont really recommend, 300 bots unlocks the worse one of these levels, and give only a ugly bot if you pass trough. You cna do almost everything (except the last bonus worse level) with just the regular levels, the cool and easy ones.
Dashing Dillo i thought was relatively easygoing considering the ball doesn’t roll unless your moving your analog
I have the plat. Some of these levels still give me nightmares 😂
I agree with this list perfectly..
🤜🏻🤛🏻
Who had the idea to put that f****** chameleon at the end of the first session of splashing sprint deserves to be Always cold in Winter and Always hot in summer
Splashing Sprint was by far the hardest for me. And not fun at all! … Master Challenge just sucked because it was so long without a check point.
The levels above is actually not hard if you play it slowly and carefully. The hardest parts is to endure this play style rather than playing it like Time Attack mode in Astro's Playroom lol.
played Astro Bot for 2 days and the Great Master Challenge is the only thing i need to platinum. can get as far as the cannons but i keep accidentally double jumping and hitting them
Forget the bosses bloopy was my arch-nemesis
My top three hardest level
3- TO THE BEAT
2- MASTER CHALLENGE
1- SPLASHING SPRINT
My second play through took me half the time. But somehow just as much sweat and profanity 😂
This game became very geometry dash esque for me with these missions
You know a little commentary about why they are the hardest wouldn't kill you. As it stands you are just doing a let's play.
I'd rather save myself a headache than save all 300 bots. Im nearly there. I'll save 300 when dlc comes out 😂
For some reason To The Beat wasn’t too hard for me (still spent 20 minutes trying it) but Slashing Sprint legit took me forever.
And don’t get me started on the Great Master Challenge….
splashing sprint would be number 1 for me followed by the final challenge as number 2. on my second save file and those are the only things not done.
Number 1 is super HARD BRO😭😭😭
On my first play through, the Great Master Challenge caused me problems like it did with most people.
But now I’m time trialling the hell out that level with this being my fastest run so far
ua-cam.com/video/W38nep9Z3k8/v-deo.htmlsi=alLV3H2uD0bYV-Uz
I disagreed with the last 2 its not the hardest levels but I did find myself having really hard time beating crumble rumble 3
Get some extra air time and range by adding a punch after the laser jump
Pretty much all the special levels based on PS controller buttons.
