(11 Dec 1944) Over four hundred men who had taken part in the battle of Arnhem paraded at Buckingham Palace. Sixty one of them received decorations from the King, amongst them Major Cain who received the VC.

Yes, they were heroes, but their leader General Montgomery let them down. Market Garden was badly conceived and a lot of men died because of it.
