  • This video showcases one of the newest returning monsters to arrive in Monster Hunter Iceborne, Raging Brachydios. Hopefully, I've demonstrated this match up with the chargeblade against R. Brachy well. This fight is quite tough when dealing with the slime and blast blight, but besides that its pretty fun. I think I can get a better time tho.
    Some key points to note:
    - Dealing with the activated (red) slime on it's body is highly recommended. Allowing the monster to have activated slime on it's body grants Brachy more attacks with greater range and explosions. When all body parts are active for long enough time, Brachy will unleash massive AoE ground explosions.
    - To Deactivate the slime attack the body parts with melee attacks or water attacks (according to the hunter notes). But keep in mind that the activated slime will fall on the ground and then explode.
    - Running blast resistance is very useful when fighting R. Brachy. In this video I don't slot in anti blast decos in my armor, but I do utilize the Fireproof Mantle and the Glider Mantle (w/ anti blast decos) to ignore the buildup of blast blight.
    - Breaking the arms or horn will award you with a knock down. (Attacking the legs enough will knock it down too it seems)
    - In the "Final Phase" R. Brachy closes off the entry points and disables farcasters and traps. Slime on the ground will cause chip damage instead of blast blight. Basically, Brachy will try to put slime under your feet until he roars causing all the slime to explode. (Note: During the final phase, the explosion of the slime will also hurt Raging Brachydios)
I think that's everything important (If i missed anything let me know in the comments). Good luck and have fun.

Beautiful run, your guard points were on point too. Now let me go insane trying to figure out how you made it look so easy.
Anyways, this is the nicest looking run I've seen so far.

Quick update: I've been trying it a bunch and it keeps murdering be brutally.
It has its 3 line head attack that I automatically defend very often and that gets me stuck in a guard loop where I end up running out of stamina and losing. The last move also has the trick and I always dodge into it on reflex, so that's cool. This thing is genuinely the most punishing monster I've fought so far and I'm just stuck. I mean, all I wanted was a cool edgy sword I'd never use but could look at sometimes.
