Ryan Town nope. Big phones are annoying and cumbersome and arent comfortable to hold at all. Even if you do have bigger hands. The bigger screensize on the newer phones now is great... but it comes at the price of comfortably. And thats a serious price to pay just for a larger screen. Not worth it at all. So youre wrong. 100% facts. Apple messed up... again, by not keeping this phone at its original size. They could have kept the newer curved design but just made it the same size as the original se. (Thats the whole point we went for the se in the first place) and it would have been soo awesome... but they fucked up. They always fuck up.
When I called Apple about ordering a new SE they said there are a lot of people who are telling them they would still prefer the smaller (2016 SE) size.
You may think it's nicer to have a big screen but you have to remember that those who don't go for big screen phones do so because of ease of one handed use. To a lot of users, this is a primary reason why they want this phone.
So simple, yet so difficult for so many, even apple themselves to understand. My friend has an iphone 7. And she cant even use it propperly or comfortably without constantly having to commit both her hands to the device... Yet she bought it just to stay ‘relevant’. Loool at what cost. can you imagine.
I chose the 2016 Iphone SE this year as my first smartphone. Bought it renewed on Amazon. It's main attraction was its compact size. I like all the upgrades the 2020 has to offer, but what I have still works fantastic for me.

You just don’t get it man. The positives don’t outweigh anything. If its bigger screen is simply like having a 6, 8 ,11 or whatever the new same but different iPhone then it’s a fail. We don’t care about the size of screen for watching films. I’ve had the big Apple phablet house bricks and sold them. It’s not about price either. Apple simply don’t get it or understand - there are millions of people (yeah millions) who just want a 4.2’’ iPhone because it was and remains size perfection for serious adults that prioritise adult things and work- held easily in 1 hand and fit easily in pocket, bag or whatever ! Yes okay, with a new slim design if you must and new tech inside. Done! My grandma got her iPhone SE in 2016 like few days before the Irma hurricane (original SE) And she has it till this day she upgraded from Samsung galaxy S2 I think I don’t know their naming. Now she has the phone and believe it or not her phone is able still to hold 2 day battery life till this day. But she always ask if it’s ok to upgrade to new versions of iOS bcs of the virus lol. Great video. I've had the 64 GB model since 2016, and it's easily the best phone I've ever owned. I also own a 6, a 7 Plus, and an 8 Plus, and other than the slightly louder speakers and better camera on the 8 Plus, I see no difference in performance. The SE, as you mentioned, shoots 4K video (which seems pretty insane for 2016) and the display quality doesn't matter since the screen is so small. I find it to be lightning fast for everything I use it for. As an added bonus, I got mine as a free upgrade from Verizon! Like you said, the quality is amazing; like you, I also love the buttons. These phones are incredibly tough. They don't have glass backs and can take a ridiculous beating. I replaced the battery in mine today with a 2200 mAh (it had been running at 83% but seemed to draining very quickly--within a day) and I also replaced the screen protector after the other one cracked after a particularly rough night of abuse. The screen itself is still perfect, as is the rest of the phone. It literally looks brand-new, and now I have an even better battery than it originally came with (all for $23 on Amazon). As for the size, I use my laptop for most stuff, so I don't need a huge screen on my phone. I've never had a problem texting on it, Facetiming, watching videos, etc., although I certainly prefer my 8 Plus for longer viewing (while, say, bored at work). I wear my SE in my front pocket and find the Plus models to be impractical for a dude. So, all said, I have to reason to upgrade to a newer phone. Oh, and I just updated to 14.0.1. Booyah!

Thanks for posting this. We're a bunch of rare people who still love that compact design. I'm still rocking my SE and it runs like a champ, minus the 2 camera which is not very big deal for me as I don't take many pictures and I still have my iPhone XR as a backup. Got the battery on my SE replaced and with data, bluetooth and location services turned on it still gives me around 3-4 hours of screen on time, which I think is fantastic. Looking forward to iOS 15 on this little beauty.
Bought my SE in 2016 and still love the design more than four years later. If it’s not for the new chip, haptic home button, and new battery, I won’t be thinking of buying the 2020 SE
I absolutely love my old se. And my battery is still very very good!! Three hole hours of Netflix and just brings it to 35%. The portability and comfort is amazing and having the headphones Jack is absolutely pleasing
November 2022, I'm using a SE Gen1 I bought NIB off ebay two years ago, replaced a 16g SE Gen1 , The newer SE still shows 100% battery, I just downloaded iOS 15.7.1 today, This little phone is beautiful. All metal, squared sides, real pocket size. I have basic usage needs so I don't need a new 800$ smart phone every two years.. Will be a sad day when I get forced to replace it..
I love my se 2016, in fact i love it so much that I have had got another one with 64gb rom to upgrade from my 32 gb the feel of it and the build is outstanding, yet I wish apple replicate the exact shape and size with todays specs

Am finally upgraded to SE2. Am keeping my 2 SE1's for downloaded songs, and articles. SE1 is best size, but airpods plus Apple Watch is slowing performance. And I had the oldest phone in my household, plus being the furthest away from the router.
I still use the iPhone SE to this day. I absolutely love it, and I actually get great battery life on it too. I'm planning upgrading in five days from now.

I tried one of the big IPhone 6’s, and realized how much I don’t like “big” phones. Also, I REALLY enjoy my home button and head phone Jack. The fact that Apple decided to continually raise the price of their phones while taking away these two features bothered me. That would be like Toyota taking away power steering and windows. WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE THESE FEATURES??? ARRRHH. I have invested a lot into my head phones and I don’t feel like just throwing them away. What’s next, are they going to take our cameras away? Our cell phone capability so we have to go back to land lines??
dank memer actually the SE has a far superior camera than the 6s plus. It’s faster, will last longer, has better battery, has a better camera, better operating system, wireless charging. Do NOT get the 6s plus now that’s a terrible buy. The SE is a lot better in terms of value and what you actually get in the phone. 6s is basically garbage now. Extremely slow, bad camera, bad battery, bad processor. I hope nobody takes ur advice lol 🤞

I'm going from an old iPhone SE to the new one, just waiting for its arrival. The size of these phones is definitely what makes me stick to them, plus the performance of the A13 Bionic on iOS in the new SE. A hell of an upgrade, if you ask me.
I have the old SE and I still love it. Best phone I have had. I didn't want to buy the iPhone X or higher but the new iPhone SE is I think the best option for me.
07.03.2022 - still use SE 2016 rose gold with latest update Software Version 15.3.1- my iphone is 6 years. Nothing laging :) smooth like new. Good Apple
MY iphone se was my first ever major purchase, when I was 12 I got in it August of 2016. I still love the phone and its design, I agree with everyone else whos says say its timeless and they should have kept the design again, but for me and I am sure many others the reason we still have them is since they work perfectly, I know mine has. Some time this year I will likely upgrade to it as my daily driver but I will still keep my SE till it dies fully and still use this great phone, I think the best smart phone ever.
I’ve had the 2016 SE for years, but the battery and storage are reaching their end. The new SE is probably what I will upgrade to. I will certainly miss the smaller size and the headphone jack... But it doesn’t seem like there are any other negatives. Gonna wait a bit before making the move.
I’m still using the 2016 SE, and I know what you mean about the battery life. It’s pretty horrible. I’m planning on upgrading this year, and I am planning on either getting this one or the 11 if it has a solid price drop after the 12 comes out. After watching this video I think I would really enjoy it.
Had the og SE for 3 years now and upgraded to the new SE because I needed a better battery (just 4 hours) and I really really recommend the upgrade. It feel huge but comfortable, the hands-on experience is awesome coming from a 8 years old design, I feels refreshed, new and sooo premium. Cameras are awesome, the portrait mode works so well, battery... it could be better but not bad at all and the price point, to still using iOS, for social media, and read some papers it’s sooo convincing. I’m loving this phone.

I would still pick a71 over iphone se 2020. The only advantage se has is the software support and that a13 bionic chip. The rest all goes to a71 screen size, screen resolution, battery, camera versatility, design etc. I don't really care about that 5 year software support because I literally change phones every 2 to 3 years and most people are doing the same thing. That a13 bionic chip is literally way powerful compared to sd730 but sd730 can handle almost all the apps/games you throw at it. Iphone SE is just like an old car with a remodeled engine that can run up to 200mph but you're just literally using it at 60-70mph on your daily usage.
Especially with iPhones wear the changeover is even shorter, because some people have to the latest iPhone. The XR, which is older now, did the same thing. There's nothing groundbreaking here. The world is too big for people to be thinking that this is the best their is to offer.
A lot of people care about the 5 year software support including me. Unless I need to upgrade my phone, I don't -- it's wasteful and bad for the environment.

I just bought the new iPhone Se 2020 on Wednesday and love it. When I went to purchase it. the iPhone se 2020 was described as a hybrid between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 11. You have the iPhone 11 camera and the new iOS update and new iOS like features that would be on the 11 the only thing that is iPhone 7 like is the look! Just the back of your phone is glass. It’s fast and it’s one of apples best budget phones. This is coming from someone who came from Samsung! I don’t regret my purchase at all. I would recommend doing prior research like UA-cam reviews etc just to be sure this phone is the fit for you! Great video!!!
I upgraded from the OG SE to the SE 2020. I was genuinely surprised at how similar they felt speed-wise. The OG has held up really well. Honestly, I miss the headphone jack and I'd like better battery life but it's pretty much a perfect size and I know it'll get updates for years. The camera is a clear upgrade and the video is excellent. I'm happy but genuinely impressed that the original has done so well.
Was incredibly sad to see the new SE have such a big size. Literally the biggest thing keeping me from upgrading my original SE. They should have offered an SE and an SE Plus (the former being 5/5S size, the latter being what we ended up getting).
I still have my original SE. It's the best phone I've ever owned, super comfortable in the pocket, the easiest one-handed iPhone ever. The battery is still nearly as good as when new! However, I did only get the 16GB and "Other" has taken over my memory! I've only got maybe 20 Apps that didn't come "standard" on the phone, and probably 17 of them have been offloaded to the Cloud and now will not reload. It's this reason and this reason only that I've literally just last night ordered the 2020 SE. Your video has convinced me that I've absolutely made the right choice. Gets here this Friday, can hardly wait!
I am doing just that. Upgrading from the old to the new SE. I have had the old se for almost 5 years and it’s served me well. I love the iPhone, probably always will, but they just got bigger and so much more expensive. I love iPhone, but with a clear conscience, I simply couldn’t feel good about spending almost 3 times more on a iPhone 10, just couldn’t do it. I’ve loved my old SE and still do, but it’s “old” and of course dated in many ways. I think this video does great justice in how it’s portraying the new SE. Bigger isn’t always better, and that’s why I’ve stuck w/ the old SE for so long. However, my vision age has caught up with me. It’s time, and this is a huge bargain for the huge jump in technology. I’m looking forward to the new SE, and am sure I’ll love it. Thanks for posting this spot on video.
Me too! I had ordered the new se and was so disappointed when it came and was SO huge. Debated for a while- finally sent it back and bought TWO new refurbished 2016's- (1 as a backup). Just came today- SO happy I returned the other one!
I like the se 1 design and durability. I had mine for 4 years and it’s gone through things like my sister throwing it, dropping it, and more. It’s design is timeless, and just looking at the back of my phone gives me nostalgia of better times. It is my channel into new games my friends want me to get because games are still coming out supporting it. It’s a great phone but it is not flawless. It is extremely slow for modern standards. Even doing things like searching stuff in safari takes 5 seconds + a page. I want to upgrade to the se 2 but I don’t want to lose the headphone jack or the memories.
It would be nice if Apple would design the se at the original 1st generation size, just saying. But the 2nd generation is a good alternative, I guess 🤷♀️.
It is a very nice value phone at this very moment in time indeed but some forget that you can also cop a used or refurbished iPhone XS 64 GB for same $400 price range.

I pre-ordered my SE in 2016 and it’s been great. I liked it being the same size as my 4S before it, and for the price it was a no brainer. Of late though, the battery was dying so I replaced it myself. Tricky but it only cost £14. Wasn’t going to upgrade but seriously thinking about it now. The SE2 is only slightly bigger, I won’t miss the headphone jack and with the improvements and the A13 chip it should last me another 4 years at least, plus the price is the same as 4 years ago. Best bit is I can pass the SE onto my wife to replace her ageing 5S, so it will live on.
The iPhone SE 2 is incredible value for today’s standard, especially with the A13 chip, and I know this because I’m watching and typing this on my SE 2

I'm still rocking my SE and it runs like a champ, minus the 2 camera which is not very big deal for me as I don't take many pictures and I still have my iPhone XR as a backup. Got the battery on my SE replaced and with data, bluetooth and location services turned on it still gives me around 3-4 hours of screen on time, which I think is fantastic. Looking forward to iOS 15 on this little beauty.

Bought my SE in 2016 and still love the design more than four years later. If it’s not for the new chip, haptic home button, and new battery, I won’t be thinking of buying the 2020 SE
I absolutely love my old se. And my battery is still very very good!! Three hole hours of Netflix and just brings it to 35%. The portability and comfort is amazing and having the headphones Jack is absolutely pleasing
November 2022, I'm using a SE Gen1 I bought NIB off ebay two years ago, replaced a 16g SE Gen1 , The newer SE still shows 100% battery, I just downloaded iOS 15.7.1 today, This little phone is beautiful. All metal, squared sides, real pocket size. I have basic usage needs so I don't need a new 800$ smart phone every two years..
Will be a sad day when I get forced to replace it..
I love my se 2016, in fact i love it so much that I have had got another one with 64gb rom to upgrade from my 32 gb
the feel of it and the build is outstanding, yet I wish apple replicate the exact shape and size with todays specs
I’ve just ordered my new iPhone SE after having the old SE 3+ years! It still works fine but lack of storage has been an issue. Just hope I can get used to the size of the 2020 model!

Am finally upgraded to SE2. Am keeping my 2 SE1's for downloaded songs, and articles. SE1 is best size, but airpods plus Apple Watch is slowing performance. And I had the oldest phone in my household, plus being the furthest away from the router.
I still use the iPhone SE to this day. I absolutely love it, and I actually get great battery life on it too. I'm planning upgrading in five days from now.

I still roll with my 2016 because I can text with one hand, and it’s much easier to grab in and out of pants pockets. I tried one of the big IPhone 6’s, and realized how much I don’t like “big” phones.
Also, I REALLY enjoy my home button and head phone Jack. The fact that Apple decided to continually raise the price of their phones while taking away these two features bothered me. That would be like Toyota taking away power steering and windows. WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE THESE FEATURES??? ARRRHH. I have invested a lot into my head phones and I don’t feel like just throwing them away. What’s next, are they going to take our cameras away? Our cell phone capability so we have to go back to land lines??

dank memer actually the SE has a far superior camera than the 6s plus. It’s faster, will last longer, has better battery, has a better camera, better operating system, wireless charging. Do NOT get the 6s plus now that’s a terrible buy. The SE is a lot better in terms of value and what you actually get in the phone. 6s is basically garbage now. Extremely slow, bad camera, bad battery, bad processor. I hope nobody takes ur advice lol 🤞

I put a 2500MAH battery in my 2016 SE for $20 and it’s amazing. Phone lasts two full days now!
Also coming from the original SE (space grey) and frankly I wasn’t compelled to upgrade to faceID, and as soon as I saw the new SE’s launch I preordered mine as well (in black), two great value phones in my opinion...
I'm going from an old iPhone SE to the new one, just waiting for its arrival. The size of these phones is definitely what makes me stick to them, plus the performance of the A13 Bionic on iOS in the new SE. A hell of an upgrade, if you ask me.
I have the old SE and I still love it. Best phone I have had. I didn't want to buy the iPhone X or higher but the new iPhone SE is I think the best option for me.
I am a user of iPhone SE and New iPhone SE2020 and I think which all have superior qualities to other iPhones at present.

I upgraded from a 2016 SE to a 2020 SE. i love that series. If a 4th SE comes (after the rumored 3rd SE or SE Plus), I’ll upgrade to that.
MY iphone se was my first ever major purchase, when I was 12 I got in it August of 2016. I still love the phone and its design, I agree with everyone else whos says say its timeless and they should have kept the design again, but for me and I am sure many others the reason we still have them is since they work perfectly, I know mine has. Some time this year I will likely upgrade to it as my daily driver but I will still keep my SE till it dies fully and still use this great phone, I think the best smart phone ever.

I’ve had the 2016 SE for years, but the battery and storage are reaching their end. The new SE is probably what I will upgrade to. I will certainly miss the smaller size and the headphone jack... But it doesn’t seem like there are any other negatives. Gonna wait a bit before making the move.

I’m still using the 2016 SE, and I know what you mean about the battery life. It’s pretty horrible. I’m planning on upgrading this year, and I am planning on either getting this one or the 11 if it has a solid price drop after the 12 comes out. After watching this video I think I would really enjoy it.

Had the og SE for 3 years now and upgraded to the new SE because I needed a better battery (just 4 hours) and I really really recommend the upgrade. It feel huge but comfortable, the hands-on experience is awesome coming from a 8 years old design, I feels refreshed, new and sooo premium. Cameras are awesome, the portrait mode works so well, battery... it could be better but not bad at all and the price point, to still using iOS, for social media, and read some papers it’s sooo convincing. I’m loving this phone.

I have used the Old SE - since 2017, and I have just Got the new SE Yesterday, yes a little bigger but OK size in my pocket.
I miss the looks of the old iPhone SE and 5s those were the best looking iPhones in my opinion
I would still pick a71 over iphone se 2020.
The only advantage se has is the software support and that a13 bionic chip. The rest all goes to a71 screen size, screen resolution, battery, camera versatility, design etc.
I don't really care about that 5 year software support because I literally change phones every 2 to 3 years and most people are doing the same thing.
That a13 bionic chip is literally way powerful compared to sd730 but sd730 can handle almost all the apps/games you throw at it. Iphone SE is just like an old car with a remodeled engine that can run up to 200mph but you're just literally using it at 60-70mph on your daily usage.
Especially with iPhones wear the changeover is even shorter, because some people have to the latest iPhone. The XR, which is older now, did the same thing. There's nothing groundbreaking here. The world is too big for people to be thinking that this is the best their is to offer.

I just bought the new iPhone Se 2020 on Wednesday and love it. When I went to purchase it. the iPhone se 2020 was described as a hybrid between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 11. You have the iPhone 11 camera and the new iOS update and new iOS like features that would be on the 11 the only thing that is iPhone 7 like is the look! Just the back of your phone is glass. It’s fast and it’s one of apples best budget phones. This is coming from someone who came from Samsung! I don’t regret my purchase at all. I would recommend doing prior research like UA-cam reviews etc just to be sure this phone is the fit for you! Great video!!!

I upgraded from the OG SE to the SE 2020. I was genuinely surprised at how similar they felt speed-wise. The OG has held up really well.
Honestly, I miss the headphone jack and I'd like better battery life but it's pretty much a perfect size and I know it'll get updates for years. The camera is a clear upgrade and the video is excellent.
I'm happy but genuinely impressed that the original has done so well.

I still have my original SE. It's the best phone I've ever owned, super comfortable in the pocket, the easiest one-handed iPhone ever. The battery is still nearly as good as when new! However, I did only get the 16GB and "Other" has taken over my memory! I've only got maybe 20 Apps that didn't come "standard" on the phone, and probably 17 of them have been offloaded to the Cloud and now will not reload. It's this reason and this reason only that I've literally just last night ordered the 2020 SE. Your video has convinced me that I've absolutely made the right choice. Gets here this Friday, can hardly wait!
I am doing just that. Upgrading from the old to the new SE. I have had the old se for almost 5 years and it’s served me well. I love the iPhone, probably always will, but they just got bigger and so much more expensive. I love iPhone, but with a clear conscience, I simply couldn’t feel good about spending almost 3 times more on a iPhone 10, just couldn’t do it. I’ve loved my old SE and still do, but it’s “old” and of course dated in many ways. I think this video does great justice in how it’s portraying the new SE. Bigger isn’t always better, and that’s why I’ve stuck w/ the old SE for so long. However, my vision age has caught up with me. It’s time, and this is a huge bargain for the huge jump in technology. I’m looking forward to the new SE, and am sure I’ll love it. Thanks for posting this spot on video.

I like the se 1 design and durability. I had mine for 4 years and it’s gone through things like my sister throwing it, dropping it, and more. It’s design is timeless, and just looking at the back of my phone gives me nostalgia of better times. It is my channel into new games my friends want me to get because games are still coming out supporting it. It’s a great phone but it is not flawless. It is extremely slow for modern standards. Even doing things like searching stuff in safari takes 5 seconds + a page.
I want to upgrade to the se 2 but I don’t want to lose the headphone jack or the memories.
It would be nice if Apple would design the se at the original 1st generation size, just saying. But the 2nd generation is a good alternative, I guess 🤷♀️.
It is a very nice value phone at this very moment in time indeed but some forget that you can also cop a used or refurbished iPhone XS 64 GB for same $400 price range.

I pre-ordered my SE in 2016 and it’s been great. I liked it being the same size as my 4S before it, and for the price it was a no brainer. Of late though, the battery was dying so I replaced it myself. Tricky but it only cost £14. Wasn’t going to upgrade but seriously thinking about it now. The SE2 is only slightly bigger, I won’t miss the headphone jack and with the improvements and the A13 chip it should last me another 4 years at least, plus the price is the same as 4 years ago. Best bit is I can pass the SE onto my wife to replace her ageing 5S, so it will live on.
The iPhone SE 2 is incredible value for today’s standard, especially with the A13 chip, and I know this because I’m watching and typing this on my SE 2
