The Eagle STILL could be built, at some level, today!

I loved the Eagle because as a Kid, it seemed like a ship NASA could actually make and fly!, it looked practical.

Been a fan of the Eagle SINCE way back when Space:1999 first aired.
I was a pretty good technical artist and draughtsman in my early teen years ( self-taught/learned ) and drew my own blueprint version of the Eagle ( from images in the early epiosde books and early comic books and the actual show,,when it aired ( the only visual references I had, then ) back in 7th/8th grade! (Starlog had just started around this time and Geoffrey Mandel's Eagle blueprints had not been seen or distrubuted, as yet, and no MPC Eagle model, yet, either, for reference ( I have multiple copies of these blueprints , over the years! ).
The outside views were very close, but my internal crosssection was not very accurate, at all, at that time ( I had almost all the Eagle internal set push into the pod and the Eagle internal command module area had taken up the entire shape of the Eagle nose! Ha, ha!
I still have my hand drawn sketches from my time in middleschool/highschool, but I do not seem to have ot found my original Eagle blueprints, I drew from those sketches, back then, any longer.
I drew the Eagle, all the time, in school ( more than drawing the starship Enterprise, at that time and before Star Wars came out, later, when I was in high school ).
I had an early obsession with the Space:1999 moonbase Alpha Eagle.
It always look like a spacecraft that could have been practically and functionally built, in real life, sometime in the very near future!
Moreso than any of the various spacecraft from UFO.

I have two of the three pre-built MPC/Round 2 Eagle models. I am still on the hunt for very first MPC/Round 2 pre-built Eagle as, this one matches closer to all of the small, 12 inch Sixteen12 Eagles.

Hopefully, you can make the Eagle internal flight deck look more realistic and practical.
Many of the buttons and switches in the command module just seem to be labelled with random rub down ( Letraset ) dry transfer lettering, with not much rhyme or reason behind it.

They tried to make it look like a busy airplane cockpit.

Yeah, I figured as much. Also, back in the day, on small TV screens, you could never really see the labels on all of those buttons. DVDs, Blu-ray, 4K changed all of that!
