  • Note - I said 165*F about the V11; I meant to say 165* C
    range test results:
100% to 86% battery charge over a 4.3 mile distance
    21.3 MPH top speed
10.4 MPH average riding speed (I was doing a lot of low speed riding at stop lights and parking lots that greatly reduced the average speed)
Max temperature: 100*F - this is very good for the place that I was riding at the end
    Max power: 2,652 watts
Min safety margin: 48% (I don't trust this. It almost dropped me at the top of one of the low speed hill climbs)
This is the second mini range test I've done on this wheel and I'm quite shocked by how little battery consumption has been used by my riding. I'm going to do more range tests to see what is going on.

"Make us wheels that are small, light, portable and powerful". Amen to that! As technology evolves, especially batteries, this class of wheel should really evolve over next 10 years.

Totally agree with your point with not trusting companies. It’s a shame one has to choose between spotty quality at best with PEV makers or blatantly anti-consumer and anti-competition companies like FM.

Begode: What color should we make it?... inmotion orange
Also begode: What safety features should we include?... How about we attach some blades on the front of it?!
    WTF Begode?!

It has a certain use case.
Made for easy, soft cruising on most terrain but not built for heavy weight bashing.
Seems like a lot of fun for certain people.

Also very keen to see that comparisson! I've got an mcm5 v2 and I wonder if this is worth the upgrade =).. to be fair though, i recently got the v14 and it's pretty dope, so the question is basically: does the falcon do the smallwheel stuff in an even more satisfyin/fun way than the mcm5? =)
A detailed comparisson would be great, if you could run both through your usecase for a small wheel like that ❤
I don't expect to do jump-jumps with it, but for it to feel safer to go through potholes (because I dab pretty hard sometimes on my mcm5 hehe)
Thanks for your awesome videos man! Apprechiate your perspective a lot! :)

@@ThePwnagealleRight? Haha. Although the Falcon weighs quite a bit more than the MCM5, I’d love to see if the Falcon would be a great upgrade from the mcm. Kinda like whether it would be a substitute/upgrade from the MCM5 with the added suspension

    • @FunTech4Real
      @FunTech4Real  12 днів тому +2

The MCM5 is significantly lighter and more portable than the Falcon. That is really the only advantage it has. The falcon has more power, more speed, suspension, better ergonomics, better build quality, etc. The Falcon is also a lot more fun to ride thanks to its wide tire, the MCM5 tire is incredibly narrow and that provides very few advantages (mostly cons). I like the A2 a lot better than the MCM5 even though the A2 is a little less powerful. The wide tire is a game changer (also wetproofing, screen, and a great handle).

    • @guiguiteplouche

There is no connection between the Falcon and the MCM5, we must stop making absurd comparisons! The MCM5 is an old wheel finished in plastic just good for rolling on flat ground...

I think what it is, is that people see it and really think it looks fun, but they don't really understand how it works so they think it's inherently unstable. I mean, on its own it is, but so is a bicycle. It's just that most people braved the learning curve of a bike when they were young and more invincible. They just haven't wrapped their head around it yet and don't know how to.

I would never say this to my spouse, because obviously she would never let me ride this:) I always tell her: I ride safely, this is perfect stable, the wheel is strong, it will not throw me off etc etc. So she is not comfortable with this at most, not scared.

Great review! Thank you so much! In summary, I think that large people will prefer the T4pro or S16pro and smaller people like me (70Kg) will prefer the Falcon. :-) I can't wait for batch 2 of the Falcon to order it!
Could you do a complete autonomy test from 100% battery to 10-15% (safety margin)? There is only that left to really test I think and you will be the demonstration hero of this Falcon!!! Thank you again for your clear and effective explanations!

random, but with a quick mod I rode my EX.N HS up to a weather station near wear I live - 4500 foot climb over 7-10 miles with some steep sections. Not ideal, and I had to let it cool down once. biggest issue was just riding non-suspension on such rough mountain roads. Not a ride I'd ever repeat on EX.N HS, but did validate mod - I velcro'd on a mini-inflation air pump that forced outside air through hole in shell, straight onto the board.
Both the EX.N HS and the Monster Pro (their giant non suspension wheel) have terrible ventilation for the board, EZ to overheat without some sort of ventilation mod.
edit: just fyi, but I think those temperatures you are reporting are board temps, not motor temps. Some wheels do report both board and motor temps - motors can get pretty hot, in my limited understanding, but those temps in that 155-180 F are board temperatures.

@@Kay0Bot that's pretty funny, comparing this wheel to a Lynx. Yeah, if I want something with more power and didn't care about price, size, or weight, the Lynx is one of the top picks. The whole point of this is that it's more compact. That means a lot of things - in particular when I'm camping at a festival or event, it's a lot easier to keep this in my camp site. And it's a lot easier to maneuver around foot or vehicle traffic at those events.

Yeah, but it has more power and battery. Got a bunch of 35 degree inclines in my neighbourhood, don't know if the falcon will make it.
