Considering it takes a whole of MAYBE 5 minutes to beat her and you can absolutely negate her second phase illusions by just constantly being on top of her she’s an alright fight.
I’ve always found her tedious tbh. She’s never been difficult for me; on my first run I probably beat her in like 5-6 tries. The issue I have is that the fight is so slow-paced, especially if you run out of snap seeds, and I’ve never been a fan of making a consumable a critical component of a boss fight, especially with fromsoft fights that make you nervous and are supposed to be difficult. Theres too much down time of running around and avoiding her soldiers, and the individual combat is super mid as she spams the same spin kick move. So it ends up being me running around in circles/using a snap seed, her getting rid of the army of spirits, then her spamming the same kick that I easily deflect until she finally dies or repeats the cycle. How can she compete with bosses that have such crazy move sets and challenge you in so many different ways? Or Isshin and Owl who introduce so much rhythm to the boss fights?

Here's what i did when I ran out of snap seeds. Run a BIG circle around the area and when she does the homing jump attack (only attack if she does this, any other move keep circling) run at her and get 2 hits in before she stands back up, then just keep doing that. She shouldnt be able to catch up to you if you are running instead of walking. It may take you a little while to kill her(10 minutes for me) but you can do it reliably with this method. If you dont want to run in circles forever though, you can use divine cofetti and grave ash to wreck her shit. The ash stuns her for a second and if you have the cofetti active while hitting her back its like butter. this method can be like, a minute if everything goes perfectly.
Whenever she summoned her shadow clones I would just spam grapple between the branches on her side of the bridge in a circle until the clones disappeared, only ever got hit once. Played Sekiro when I was like 14 when it released and sold it because I was ass and had botched settings like English Voices. Played through it this month 100% and thank god I had English voices because I would have never known the line of “MY NAME IS GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA” in English. Raised the boss from 8/10 to 10/10 immediately
Mist Noble: *It was the biggest piece of dogshit*
lady butterfly kinda underrated
On point
The last genichiro and ishin fight were the best ones
Divine dragon looks like an amazing boss and the visuals are phenomenal but the combat is lackluster. I imagine most people beat it in an attempt or two and fighting an enormous godlike dragon I thought it’d prove to be a little more of a challenge
Genichiro fight is my favourite
How is Lady butterfly ranked lower than gyobu is beyond me💀
Owl probably one of the hardest bosses for me rather than the demon and prime isshin, its so hard to read his movements
I’m stuck in that fucking corrupted monk, I’m losing it. I’m out of snap seeds. I’m done man
Here's what i did when I ran out of snap seeds.
Edit: didn't realise you could use snap seeds, I used them against lady butterfly once and left em in the box gathering dust.
When she does the ghost thing you can just grapple to the highest tree and she will stop immediately.
There is a easy trick, using mist raven search it .. way to easy
Oh yea? Well it looks like a golden shiny wire of hope.
I'm probably alone on this, but both Monk fights are my absolute favorite in the entire game. Although the confidence that Sword Saint gave me can't be forgotten either
Exactly bro the monks are pretty easy but super fun
Ill just say that all sekiro players have met the demon of hatred so many times before you even get to fight him, hangs around a specific temple (not senpou)
Currently getting my shit rocked by Isshin. I have gotten so good at the first Genichiro phase that I could beat the fight at the castle in like 1 or 2 tries
Probably have won already but for SSI the first phase is easy but if you're struggling with the spear practice corrupted monk
Damm its Perfect
bro know taht all of them are really good that he could not do the goat meme
Sword Saint Isshin deserves even better than perfect. It's on another level. Best boss fight in any game Ive ever played.
All my favorite boss fights take place atop Ashina Palace haha
Bro I died atleast 50 times with lady butterfly, the first enemy to force me to master parrying and timing was her 😢
inner father on top
My favorite boss was literally the first boss😂I think..the one with a spear on a horse
headless ape is awesome, i just hate that you get ganked when fighting it.
I've had a fucking blast going against lady butterfly, it was that fight that made me understand that sekiro is not a dark soul game
They needed to match WOOOOOOooooo guy with Whoohooo guy. Missed opportunity.
