Thank you for sharing your perspective on esthetician school! I went to school to get my cosmetology certification and I struggled a bit through those same topics on anatomy, pH, electricity, skin theory, diseases and disorders plus others I can’t recall anymore. In hindsight, I believe those topics were more important than what I was actually excited about learning. 😂
Hi Jule! Love seeing your pups :) Funny, how you mentioned how you felt relaxed performing massages. I felt relaxed watching you massage your "client" (classmate) in your last video LOL. You hit the nail on the head, this license is going to open so many new doors and possibilities for you. It'll be nice for you to have regular clients :)
Can you do more updated videos I just came across your video and today is June19th 2024. What are some of the best study habits that you would advise for those as interested in taking up. Esthetician? What was some of the drawbacks when you were studying it seems like I read my book although I haven't started school and it took me literally 4 months to get through it. Now I got to go back through and answer questions and then order on my own the exam review to start memorizing questions and answers before I start😮. Can you speak about eyelash training where you trained this in school?
Hi! I would love to do more updated videos on school, but my main focus has been schooling so I haven't had much time to do videos. I am about to graduate late July though so I will definitely have to make some updates especially when it comes to the state board test as well :) As far as study habits, each person retains information in different ways so it's hard to advise on this. My school provides online practice tests which have greatly helped me out, but if you haven't started school yet I would wait to see what they teach.
Always when you're going to take up a class in modern time specially in cosmetology barbering esthetician electrolysis manicuring🎉. I'm speaking as a licensed Manicurist 33 years 💯‼️😇👌🏼 is more easier nowadays to get advantage of reading a book and studying your questions and answers although it can be a bit challenging. Thank you for your response back enjoy your summer
Where I am there’s a course that’s just makeup but more so sfx , some airbrush, body art , fantasy/ character makeup etc do you think it’s still worth to do or is qualified in everyday “beauty” makeup enough
Hi that’s sounds like a fun course! This is completely up to you in whether you feel like it would benefit you or not. Is it something you are genuinely interested in or niche you would want to go into?
@@julieruby at the moment I’m more of a natural makeup style mostly on mature skin types, but where I am the only higher level makeup artist qualifications involve a lot of sfx , body art therefore I do think I’d do it because it’s in the course but atm it’s not a career goal just don’t know how likely it would be to end up working on film sets

Yes those topics seem to be universally disliked by a lot of students haha but you are absolutely right in that they are super important!
Thank you for sharing your journey. It is informative and interesting.
I'm so glad you liked the video! Thank you so much for watching :)

I love hearing this. I’m hoping to start myself when we get back state side.
Thanks so much for joining in the premiere! I'm sure you'll get back into the groove soon :)
Omg I feel the same way about original shape tape as you do about the radiant creamy lol i think that's part of the fun of makeup though!
It is!! If we all had the same opinions or did things the same it would be boring!
I’m a simple woman: Julie posts a video, I click on it 😂
Omg you are so sweet thank you!!
