I’d actually prefer a sequel instead of a port, so they can add more clothes,activities, etc. also maybe they can port tomodachi life/collection so newcomers can experience those games too

I replayed Tomodachi Life a few months ago. Here's the craziest thing that happened in my recent playthrough. I put a good amount of Miis in the game. Two of them were Link from Skyward Sword and Melia and from Xenoblade Chronicles. They became friends, fell in love and got together. They were crazy for each other, always spending time with one another. Then, one day, they had a fight. After calming him down, Link went to Melia to try to make up with her, but she wouldn't accept his apology. Link was sad for a bit, but I helped him feel better with food and doing some fun activities. Later on, he told me that things weren't so great with Melia, which was understandable. They did have a fight. I told him to try and work it out. So he goes to her apartment again, but it doesn't work and they end up breaking up. I was legitimately mad at Melia at that point, but whatever. I had other Mii to look after. Melia didn't have any other friends on the island. After breaking up with Link, she was pretty much by herself for a while, until Shulk, a character also from Xenoblade Chronicles befriended her. Link moved on and soon met a girl named Crystal, who's an OC of mine. They got together, and while I was skeptical at first because Crystal had the same hair color as Melia, they did like each other and ended up married. Melia, on the other hand, would constantly bring up her ex, Link, sounding super bitter about it. Link only brought up Melia once, but it was in a fond rememberance. Link went on to have a kid with Crystal. Melia finally got together with another person named Lest, another OC. And I was again concerned because the OC in question had blonde hair and blue eyes like Link. In the end, Melia ended up getting dumped by Lest, who decided he wanted to go out with Daisy from the Mario series. Yeah. That was crazy.
I don't think Tomodachi Life would work as well on the Switch with the two screens. I think they should make a sequel to the game that is designed with the Switch in mind. Also the game could be expanded to much.
Honestly yeah, or they could work around the issue by making the screen kind of split in those minigames that are in the 3ds version. However, for the other menus i think they could find a workaround

I also got into this game because of the DanTDM playthrough because my 8 year old self loved that stuff. I also recently got back into playing this game and it's been pretty fun getting my population up to 100 and seeing 2 of my mii's finally have children.
I had a similar experience getting into Tomodachi Life. I also got it in 2016 because the UA-camr AbdallahSmash026 did an entire let’s play of the game. After watching many episodes of him play, I finally got Tomodachi Life for myself and I was super excited! I remember after making my first Mii as myself, I made the second Mii of my crush who I was madly in love with at the time, thinking we would fall in love, get married, have a baby, and live happily ever after. As I played through the game, my Mii and my crushes Mii tried asking each other out but it sadly never ended up happening. So after all these years later, my Mii and the Mii I made of my crush, never got together. Guess it was never meant to be in the game and in real life 😢💔💔

Just a few Relationships I've created on Blocky Island to demonstrate how weird this game could get: -A Robloxian that's used to represent me is married to a pink cat. -A blue cat with an eyepatch is married to Neil Cicierega. -My IRL Mom is married to the Meat Worm that's associated with Vinesauce. All of the couples I listed had babies together with Mom and the Meat Worm having a total of 6 babies. The most babies a couple had on my island thus far. And the best part? My Mom wants the in-game version of herself to break up with the Meat Worm because she doesn't like being married to the worm. But apparently the game thinks they're the best couple ever since they haven't considered breaking up once. That's how you know this is one of the weirdest games ever.

It would be great if Nintendo brought Tomodachi Life to the Switch. I've really enjoyed playing it ever since I bought it from Amazon last year. In fact, it was so much fun, that I actually got a second copy to make and save more Miis. But while the game is fun, I'll admit that it does have a few flaws. But hopefully, if it was ever released for the Switch, those problems will be fixed. I want the Switch version of TL to allow the players to create and save more islands and Miis, give the players the option to give their Miis different sexualities or make them transgender, have the fighting mechanic occur less often, have the Miis apologize to each other more often after a massive fight, make proposing to other Miis a lot easier, give the player the option to change the accents for their Miis, and give the apartments more customization. That would be really great.
Putting transgender features in the game might not be a good idea right now as there is unnecessary EXTREME hostility against the LBGTQ community in the United States right now and we don't need Nintendo adding anything... "woke," to add fuel to the hostility fire. Maybe if they ported Tomodachi Life to the Switch in 2017-2018 it would've been fine but now? Not a good idea

One part I do think as to why we haven't seen a tomodachi life game is due to inclusivity and diversity. Nintendo knows if they are to make another one they need to include LGBTQ+ diversity in the game They are not willing to take that risk as sadly there's been so many unnecessary issues with discrimination against these groups Miitopia had same-sex relationships however this got it an 18+ rating in many many many countries and in some countries the game was totally taken down. Nowadays if Nintendo made a life simulator and didn't include LGBTQ+ themes they would go under fire And if they made it have LGBTQ+ themes the game would be unlawfully taken down in many countries and restricted - The discrimination is that bad that even if Nintendo hidden it as an option in the menus of the character, they would still get the game totally removed in some countries!
I hope when and if they add Tomdachi life to the switch they have it so it can do streetpass with your 3ds, I have a lotta miis that have been standing on a pier for many years!

This may be wishful thinking, but maybe they're waiting until next year to announce a Switch port/game? It'd be 10 years since the 3DS version, so it'd feel like a full circle moment to announce the next game a decade later. If they do release a Switch game, I'd prefer it to be its own thing. Of course, they should bring back a lot of what the first one had, but also bring new things to keep things fresh. Considering game files depend on the console, rather than the cartridge now, I can imagine they'd have more space to work with, so they could make new mechanics and give us more goals and possibilities. I'd also love to have more freedom with customization, like in Miitopia and New Horizons, as both have great options for players that like customizing things. I'd love to be able to make unique Miis and have an island that's better suited to my play style. I truly hope this happens, because the gaming industry can always do with more games like Tomodachi Life. :)

If they do release a Switch game, I'd prefer it to be its own thing. Of course, they should bring back a lot of what the first one had, but also bring new things to keep things fresh. Considering game files depend on the console, rather than the cartridge now, I can imagine they'd have more space to work with, so they could make new mechanics and give us more goals and possibilities. I'd also love to have more freedom with customization, like in Miitopia and New Horizons, as both have great options for players that like customizing things. I'd love to be able to make unique Miis and have an island that's better suited to my play style.
I truly hope this happens, because the gaming industry can always do with more games like Tomodachi Life. :)
