All good, ,I think besides sheer speed ,one of the few advantages of a sports bike is filtering, everything is so tucked in.. Both my bikes can be a little wide with panniers,,even so traffic jams are not so bad on a bike,I even like them on a motorway it breaks the monotony of the trip.. I ride a RE Himalayan and do a trip from Lincolnshire to London once a month.. Returning from London down the A20 I hit a bit of a queue at the junction with the M25.. It was a good couple of miles of traffic.. OMG it was one of those occasions when the traffic just opened up for me ,the traffic was queuing to go left so I kept to the right ,,I hardly had to slow down,,I got right to the front before moving left myself right to the front in minutes,, past all those cages ,simply brilliant ..I must have been at least on the M11 before those cars caught me .. I enjoy not only bikes as machines but using riding the beasts ,, great Iv subbed...
Great content, I’m supposedly experienced and a RoSPA Gold Advanced rider but we can always learn and your are teaching me a great deal from these films.
Wow! That's really nice for you to say that and slightly reassuring 😂!! Thankyou! So.much for taking the time to comment! I'm doing a Bikesafe course next week so looking forward to learning properly!
I love riding through Liverpool, can't explain why but I find it very enjoyable haha. Just moved out of Liverpool but only 40 minutes away so I'm still riding round there often. Lovely content, keep it up!
Yass!! Come on the Glasgow posse! Connected with a few if you now through here! I grew up near Paisley! Born in Arbroath, but lived this way many years now. Really miss it up there and Gona be doing a trip up that way next spring! Would be great to meet up !
Great video. Thank you. My wife is from Liverpool so know those roads well. We are in Cardiff. My bike is a Honda CBR600F4I. It's narrow and light so great for filtering. I came home from Wiltshire recently when the M4 was gridlocked crossing the M5 and over the new bridge. I was filtering through slow moving traffic for several miles. Probably saved me an hour or more. I was totally knackered when I got home though from all the slow speed handling and concentration.
Ah nice one man! Love Cardiff! Great city! Give me a shout next time your up! That an awesome bike for filtering also! Mine is maybe a little bit big and dare I say it slightly over powered for riding around town. It has a big presence though so that does help pulling up next to cars at the lights..
@@RTPOV Don't worry, I can still hear it haha :) Definitely worth popping back up, even better if it's a nicer day and you can head up north somewhere!
G'day mate! 😉 You're the 2nd Australian to comment today! Nice to hear from you from so far away! Would love to visit sometime! What bike are you riding? 👊🏼
Nice!! Proper comfy looking bike that! I love my bike.., but it's defo on the sportier side of a sport tourer and after 2 hrs it starts getting a little cramped. I'm gonna try fitting Heli bars and maybe a peg lowering kit so I can do some big journeys next year
@@RTPOV Yamaha mt 125 I've been riding for 8 years and you learn a lot with experience you start to notice patterns with drivers and anticipate what they do and 90 percent of the time we are right just about being safe ofcourse have fun at the same time 👍👍👍
Oh wow! Now Ur testing me!!! 😀 Yes I can try do a bit on U turns,.although I'm sure there's plenty better at it than me!! With life savers I think the general rule is anytime your going to significantly change Ur line direction etc, turning, pulling away, exiting roundabouts.etc. All the time basically 😂 I'm not always doing them tbh, and should do them more. I have a rear view camera and blind spot detection system that really helps
I’m on a Horwin CR6. baffles me how many people opt to sit in traffic with one person in the vehicle. To each their own I guess but I’m all for being on my way.
Hey!! And welcome ! Lovely to hear from you from so far away! Sunny California! Amazing! Never been. Only ever been to the east coast. NY/DC etc... thanks for stopping by and saying hi!! 👊🏼
Nice smooth ride, my only observation. At the last set of lights (with white van) would it not have been easier to use the lefthand lane as there was a bigger gap to filter up the nearside rather than come through the middle.
@@RTPOV I noticed, but there was nothing there, and it was the line of least resistance. Hopefully Liverpool gets a dedicated Motorcycle lane in every road.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by!!! No tips directly, but I'd say regardless of the bike, if it feels/looks like the gaps too small then it probably is. Sometimes I go through gaps I probably shouldn't as well. It's hard sometimes once you've committed to filtering and the gap tightens up. I usually just find a safe gap to tuck into if that happens... Where U based?
I would just say beware of those vehicles that just HAPPEN to wonder and gently close or narrow the gap..of course they do it on purpose,, they have very small minds and a jealous nature....

Haha that would be nice!
I would have used that left lane,, I have little regard for turn left arrows if it clear and at the front...
