I got all four turtles rather quickly, and while I do like them, they’re definitely were some problems. Non of my Raph’s hands really want to stay in, Donnie’s arms barely move, even after I used a little loosening oil. Mikey and Leo had the same problem as Donnie, but they’re working better now. Mikey also really has a tight grip on his hands; making it a bit of a challenge to put his nunchucks in. So, while they figures have gotten better the more I used them, they still definitely have some problems that I think loyal subjects should work on.
Thank you for the honest review. Like you, I've been wanting the modern-comic-styled figures for a long time. I held off on preordering these when they were announced, then saw them in my local Target this week and decided to research reviews. I'm pretty let down. These things cost too much to have the QC issues that are showing in your video. Here's hoping The Loyal Subjects does their homework and maybe improve and re-release them. In the words of movie Raph... "Damn!"
I'm slowly collecting these figures. I've had some trouble with the hands, too. I still like the look of them, though. I desperately want them to do an IDW Metalhead.
Also, could you work the joints loose with a heat gun or hairdryer and just flex the shoulders over and over again? The ball join on the head is at least an easy fix with a low grit sandpaper. OTHERWISE! the figures look really cool and would work fine to just display, but they would be really frustrating for kids to play with. 😅
I really liked these figures, the only issues was the arms super stiff, even with warm water. Raph was the smoothest to move as fart as arms and legs, there others def could have used a little more qc in that movement. but they look great. also the way they connection the swivel on arms and legs, its just like a straight cut just below the shoulder to do a arm shoulder swivel it just could have been better, there prices is better though. so still happy . Shredder looks good, but eh like you said its like its not ment to be played with also could have been taller. but the sculpt was cool. I used him to customize a shredder of my own.

You had me at tmnt and idw! I’ve been seeing several tmnt figures at Walmart, mostly the mirage ones Casey Jones , Shredder , master splinter , one idw Donnie and two last ronin figures , one regular and another white version similar to the mirage style era ! It’s ninja time ! 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
You flicking Leos swords like that had me squirming like I was watching a horror movie cause mine snapped at the hilt when I pulled him out of the plastic, that along with the hand hardness made me decide not to get any more of these. The only other figure I got from this company was the Beetlejuice figure they did and he has soft fingers but he can't hold any of his accessories anyway so I'm just turned off of them
I take the risks for the sake of the video 😅 Sorry to hear about yours breaking and that not being able to hold accessories is an overall issue with BST
I didn’t have nearly as hard of a time with mine, let alone bleed from it. I don’t need to to heat them up in order to do stuff but maybe you do. And you’re just picky with the accuracy and sometimes you’re just wrong because some of the sources aren’t even santoluco art. Easily your worst review how are your hands so sensitive!
19:42 reminds me of the gravity equalizer in the 2003 episode with the omage to jack Kirby of marvel
Yep. That episode is based on the Mirage Donatello one shot!
@@Soundout12 I figured as much!
There is an extra bandana for each turtle, so you can use that to recreate the Shredder promo shot

Dang. Good to know the issues were widespread. They need to work on the plastic tolerance

Metalhead would be so cool!
HELL. YES. PLEASE.
I think Leo’s shorter swords are Wakizashi.
I think thats what they were called in Ghost of Tsushima.

Gloves being required for handling a toy should never be a thing

As fart as lol
Part of me wanted to get these, but this video just confirms that Loyal Subjects really needs to improve this line more.
There’s definitely potential in TLS’s figures, I hope they improve as well
Who do you want them to make next(P.S do you know about fly-borg in the comics)
I want more of the original characters like Hobb, Jennika and I always want a Casey
(I know about Fly-borg yes lol)
The edging streak ends when Soundout makes a video about stuff I know about 🤭
It had to happen eventually!
An apple an orange and a banana
Might need to take some shock oil to the joints to help loosen them up
Definitely!

I’m glad the figures were working better for you! Mine were giving me a lot of trouble.
I’m definitely picky with the accuracy. Won’t deny that lol
