  • After watching a video from MCrider on earplugs, I decided to try out the Decibullz custom molded earplugs. Overall these earplugs do very well to block out all forms of noise. They aren't as comfortable as just wearing silicone plugs, but that's not to say they are uncomfortable either.
    It's up to you to find that balance between protection and comfort. I personally lean towards having more protection.

    What most people don't understand about the moulding process is you're not supposed to put the filter in the water, or you'll damage them.

      What is the Filter ?

      @@genewood569 I believe he meant to say the foam plugs. You should use the silicone plugs for the purpose of hot water molding. Then you should switch the plugs out by removing the silicone plugs and installing the foam plugs.

    Great video man!
    Side question: do you like those gloves you're wearing? What brand are those?

    how do you put on your helmet without dislodging the earplugs? My ears get squashed when i put on my helmet which causes the earplugs to get out of position

    • @Valorcycle
      @Valorcycle  Рік тому

      I first make sure the ear plugs have a really tight seal, and then when putting on the helmet, pull the straps outward (away from your ears) and then pull the helmet on. This helps create a little room for your ears and minimizes the helmet pulling the plugs out.

    I have very very minor tinnitus ( got an ear infection 10 years ago, developed minor tinnitus from it). Since developing tinnitus I quit riding, I rode for 7 years prior to getting tinnitus. Do you recommend this product and does it do a good job of wind/engine noise cancellation? Thank you

    • @Valorcycle

      Yes, it does a fantastic job! I only wear these now.

      EAROS ONE High Fidelity Acoustic Filters. This is what I wore before trying out the decibullz. I do like them a lot and they're more comfortable but don't block as much noise. Depends on your preference

    Would th3se protect my ears at an indoor range?

      I think they have specific ones for ranges

    I do not recommend them personally. I have a full face Scorpion R1 helmet and after 30-min my ears start to hurt a lot. I even tried to re-mold them 3-times and the same outcome But they do work to keep out the wind and exhaust noise.

      Do you know what is causing the discomfort? Inner piece wrong size or the helmet putting pressure on the plugs? Just curious so others can be aware.

    • @All2shop
      @All2shop Рік тому

      @@Valorcycle Well once I mold them to my ears without my helmet on they fill great. But after I put my helmet on and ride for at about 30-min the pressures from my helmet digs into the plastic ear plugs. I tried 3-different ear tips. Painful around the Cartledge inner ear.

      @@All2shop sounds like the helmet padding is pushing onto the plugs. Does it have removable padding around the ears?

    • @All2shop
      @All2shop Рік тому +1

      @@Valorcycle Yup I removed them ear pads to install my Cardo a month before I got the Decibullz. So my Cardo JBL speakers does sit out a little bit on my ears I notice before I got these Decibullz. Conclusion to my ear pain I see. So I just ordered the Loop Quiet Ear Plugs which is all rubber silicone. I did not return my Decibullz because they are only $25.00. But THANK YOU very much!!!!! for digging into my problem and finding out my ear pain issue Mr. Sherlock Holmes.

    • @Valorcycle

      Ive worn these for about 3 hours straight as my longest ride (so far). Yes, still very comfortable and would recommend. With my new helmet, they do fall out when taking my helmet off sometimes but while riding they're great.

      Yep! You can still hear very well, its just more muted than having nothing or high fidelity ear plugs.
