Real OG is the flour manufacturers who noticed the sacks were being used as clothing and they weren’t gonna let the ladies and babes be boring so they printed flower patterns. Amazing. Yes.
Edit: thank u for so many likes?!?!! I didn’t notice?!? May all of u feel good and look good too
It was probably a way to stand out against the competitors, and get more customers. It's a smart business move, because the woman will be way more likely to buy the cute bag of flour even if it's not a bran she's familiar with just based on the pattern.
💯💯💯💯
sometimes they would also print the patterns onto the fabrics too so they could just be cut out, and some companies also printed panterns for teddy bears on them
ikr they're so nice
While it took an average of 3 feedsacks to make one women's dress, thin girls (modern US 2) would brag about being a "2 feedsack size".
Just realized we're not in the 2010's anymore...

@@adamhimselfs ok, edge lord.
I don’t know why but I dislike babies
@「 Soulless 」 ok
"Today, baby clothes are less gendered." True to a point, but the 1920s-40s styles they showed weren't gendered at all. Progress isn't always strictly linear.
Exactly. My grandma told me that they would put boys in dresses (my aunt's and dad were all born between '49-'53) until they were potty trained to make it easier to change and clean them up.
Clothes even way back before the beginning of the 20th century weren’t gendered. But during the 20’s pink was seen as a masculine color, an equivalent of the red that was considered to be for men, but lighter for boys in some countries.
The 50s did change a lot of things when it comes to stereotyping things. That decade did it.
They weren't gendered as much but maybe a little bit. I think the boy dresses looked less pink and stuff
Boys in dresses that’s gross.
That "90s" look was totally not 90s enough... where are like the "clown" collars that every little kid in the 90s I knew had at one point. :P
Yeah those baby sailor suits were huge. Also, bonnets made a weird comeback. I had a ton of photos in them. And baby headbands for some reason
Yes! This was too cute to be 90s attire I know that is definitely not what my parents had me in lolz
In the 90s my parents just used my older cousins clothes to dress me, they were boys btw
My mom dressed me like a boy or an old woman (oversized blouse, two piece suits) 😂😂 I give her grief about it to this day. I'm 25 now.
Oh my god! Yes!! I did! I was born in 1994, so I definitely was a 90's baby, I was five (born in November) when the millennium changed.
the baby at 0:32 seems so playful and fun, then you have the baby at 1:07 that looks like she's contemplating the meaning of life.
they're all adorable babies tho.
ikr, the pink sweater baby looked so serious 😂❤
Love how she was just standing, she’s so cute!
She's like
stomp FREEZE stomp FREEZE stomp...
joyner haha ikr agree
Just World War 2 thing I guess 😂 hahaha
3:52 Is me coming out to the “normal” world after all this chaos...
... and then running away

Y’all must’ve felt lucky to have that many babies in set

Some babies wore more than one outfit

As you should...accuracy is key lol

Shhhhh... she's having an existential crisis!😹😥
my everyday mood
Lmao
*Why are we here ? Just to suffer*
Kids be having depression real young do yea
You can tell there's probably a bunch of people behind the camera waving and smiling at the babies and I love that
2:46 that smile is the cutest thing ever!
1:00 SHES SO ADORABLE
Ikr that second laugh tho-😭😭😭
She seems so confident!!! She will grow up to be a strong woman (or whatever gender they feel)
@@jakxx026 she's clearly a girl, please dont bring that gender choosing stuff here😒
@@maplesyrup6052 honestly shut up
@@blxssom_kd no, you will hear the truth.
2:07 is the most adorable little girl ever can I have herrrr😭😭😭
yahhh she's so cute!!!
YES!!! she's so cute!!
Mhm! All of them are adorable ^^
She was cute, but I think the cutest one was 2:17 lol, it was funny
IKR I WANT HER 💅💯
Too cute! I don't think I would want to put a baby in actual denim. The material just isn't soft or giving enough. I don't like to wear it as an adult.
Same here ima just put my babbies in black shapless robes. Easy to chage stain proof and comfy
Changing a baby that is wearing jeans is a NIGHTMARE. As well, babies learning to walk (and toddlers trying to run) struggle when wearing jeans especially when they are tight fitted.
Would put them in sweatpants instead
3:52 she looks traumatized 😭😭
I think she's probably worried her mother is going to leave her alone. Kind of look my son gets when I tell him I'll be back in a minute when I go to the bathroom 😂
_walking into 2020 like_
Starr Tucker wow. How do you leave? My heart wouldn’t be able to take it 😂

@@nettaleanne 😂 the temptation to use his potty can be strong lol
I FORGOT ABOUT THOSE MOMMY AND ME TREND - IT USED TO BE E V E R Y W H E R E
There have been mommy and me fashions every decade. I used to love to dress like my mom and I was born at the end of the 50s and raised in the 60s. I remember my mom had one dress and mine was made of the same material. I loved dressing like her. That was 40 years before they said it was popular.
They still are!
I now want some of these so bad for me and my little miss. Sooooooooo Cuuuuuuuuute!
Them : 100 years of baby fashion
Me :4 minutes of complete adorableness
I know one thing: These babies are all so cute
And I'm dead at this part 1:56 because cuteness is overload
I loved her so much
She looks so calm
the one at 1:07 is literally contemplating the meaning of life lol
0:40 the cutest thing i’ve seen today

2:51 the way his face changed😂 what happened there buddy😂 also these babies are so CUTEEEE
The first baby (and the 1990s) is *exactly* how I was as a baby! Brown hair, big eyes, always smiling, and altogether playful.
Awww they're so adorable 😭❤

@@animegod1733 of course! I would want one 🙈
You totally missed the mark with the 1980's, we looked FAR worse than that cute baby
Should have put him in neon windbreakers.
I was waiting for the reference picture but they didn't have one! And yes, that child looked way too modern and cool to be an 80s baby like me!
I didn't wear jeans but okay I was born in 1989 so, by the way the 1990 real photo 3:14 was nearby the clothing I had on pictures in 1989😃👶🏻
Right! No one was dressing like that in the 80s!
I was born in the 80’s. My parents didn’t dress me like that. It was far worse.
I feel like the mommy-and-me trend is trendier now than it was in the 2000s.
1:36 is the cutest thing ever, why are babies so expensive! 😭
they are not 😂. kids are expensive, babys are not!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
In the Victorian era babies (boys and girls) wore dresses super big and long so they could grow into them. Also it was easier for them to change diapers and potty train cause you just had to pull skirts up and change a diaper. Now we got all these buttons on baby clothes and changing diapers is super frustrating
02:40 that little man in the 80s', killed it.
I'm not even a huge fan of babies but this is so cute.
Also I love how they're all running and playing but the 1960s baby just looks so tired like she'd rather nap than be here.
The baby at 1:08 and 3:52 is really contemplating life itself
That mean she’s s my favorite
Kid at 1:09 is me being confused every single second of my life
The 1960s/00s girl with her mum is so so adorable!! They all are though. 90s baby here and I’ve never heard of that brand. Must be a US fashion trend.
Totally. The commercials for Oshkosh B'gosh is the only reason I know how to say it. It was a children's clothing company over 100 years old at this point.
I googled it, it was founded in 1895 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
okay THIS is what we wanted
there’s never a dull movement in a baby fashion show
I’m guessing this will be the one video Karolina and Bernadette don’t rip to shreds. 😂
Karolina looks like she eats children
Starr Tucker :(
If they do rip it to shreds they'll make it clear that the babies were still adorable.
I mean, the babies were adorable, but the fashion choices were really inaccurate.
You should do 100 years of maternity wear
I think they've already made a video on that!
Krishna Prasad NoI know what video you’re thinking of but I think it was by another channel, not Glamour
@@imsoboredhahaha It was Allure. They do similar videos to Glamour
Ashley Downey I think they did an evolution on pregnancy beauty, not necessarily maternity clothes where they discussed maternity corsets, what superstitions mothers used to believe to ensure healthy and beautiful children and Lucille Ball’s pregnancy on “I Love Lucy”
Omg I've read it as "100 years of maternity leave" and agreed before i even processed it
1:40 "pink for girls blue for boys" I HATE IT ,ALL COLORS ARE FOR ALL PEOPLE!!!!!
No they’re not saying only that particular gender is forced to wear it, it’s just that the colours were more popular towards the 2 genders
1:05 im obsessed with her outfit its perfect for winter
Omg I wanna adopt all of them they are so cute❤
Why, UA-cam algorythm, are you showing me 100 years of baby fashion?
I'm not complaining though, this is hella cute.
I love babies so much, this is so cute I can'tttt.
this probably one of the single most adorable videos on the earth
My parents, born in 1927 and 1952, would both share fond stories of their potato sack clothing. They would also get free dinnerware in boxes of soap. My Mom saved some of those and I still have them. I wish she had one of her sack dresses though because that would have been adorable.
I love the Mommy and me trend...my 3 year old gets so excited when she gets to wear what Mommy is wearing.
Aw the babies are so cute! Fun short story, I was born in 97, my first ever thanksgiving my mom and I wore matching fall dresses.
like I know that these babies are probably little models and have done this sort of thing before, but the adorableness of some of these babies waving at the camera or doing little poses is just too much for my heart.
ik! they are so adorable 😭🥺❤️
babies are so innocent they are probably the closest things to god 💕✨
1:12 she was like what I am doing hir 💀💀💀
1:55 was the cutest to me ngl but all of them are so CUUUUTE!
It’s not a competition they’re babies
My heart went-💓
No one:
Babies: *lemme show you what i've got*
The 40's baby has their bonnet on the wrong way round. It looks like they've got a tea cosy on their head.
Awww! No wonder she looked confused-She was still adorable, though
But you all couldn't find a pic of a baby in the 1980's?! I have an INCREDIBLY hard time believing that.... I know some of us have to be on your staff- or are the moms of these babies!! 😄
I could have given them my baby pictures since I was born in the 80s.
maybe because their 80s example looked nothing what babies were dressed in in the 80s. looks more 2000’s
@@sammysoppy3361 💯 my thoughts exactly!! When I saw him I thought, "I have no baby pictures where I looked like that." 😄
@@sammysoppy3361 yeah I was never dressed like that in my baby pictures.
I know this may seem weird, but I loved 1920s and 1950s. They just looked so sweet and simple.☺️🤗
All of these babies are so stinking adorable! The one at 3:00 was the cutest, tho. So sweet, happy and playful.
Fofurômetro explodiu...😍😍😍👶🏻👶🏽👶🏼
Ok but I never did mommy and me with my mom. I feel like that’s like 2019 and 2020 that people are doing mommy and me
yeah these videos are never truly accurate, but fun to watch
Ye
2000s baby here and it was definitely a case of 'sister and me' rather than 'mommy and me.' We were close enough in age that she'd buy us matching outfits, or the same outfits in different colours. Now my mom struggles to get my sister to wear anything remotely coordinated 😂
Yeah it’s more like that then mommy and me
2000s baby here as well this was a thing but was infact high fashion so expensive clothing lines did this i remember dressing like my mom once and thats when they introduced mommy and me in Citi Trends tbh the fad faded out in 2019 2020 they dress their children in fashion nova now :/ I guess thats "cool" but now they can barely move around in a tight dress :(
2:59 - me when I heard about Percy Jackson in Disney +
Oh definitely 🤣
Haha the 60s baby was like "you better be paying me for this"
When they show the decade you were born and you sit there wondering why none of you baby clothes looked like that 😂
1:29 that looks really different to the reference photo
Who's here just to see the cute babies?
I grew up in the 2000s and I've never seen a matching baby and mommy outfit.
Really? I was born in 2002 and it was a big thing where I grew up. My mom, my sister, and I all wore matching outfits since she was only a year older. I think some of my friends did the same
Amanda Boccarossa Maybe it just wasn't a thing where I grew up... The only thing I cam remember is people matching clothes with their dolls but not with their parents lol
me, fully knowing there would be babies in this video, when seeing a baby: !!!!!!!!!!!!
The kid wear the 1940s outfit is soooo cure awww🥺🥺🥺❤️
0:08 i start kissing my phone
I love babies and toddlers styles!!! 😃😃 Those babies are adorable!! 😃😃😃 I want teenage fashion, university fashion, toddlers, and kids fashion. 😃😃😃😃 Great video!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Given the cost of university I'm imagining the university fashion for current times will be the sackcloth rompers again 😂
Cute babies 😍❤️❤️
So adorable! My son was born in 2000, and the fashion trend then was very bright, very bold colors, especially in red and blue. My daughter was born in 2010, and at that moment where I live black was the "it" color for baby clothes. She received so many black or black and white dresses and rompers, totally horrifying the older generations who were adament that it was not appropriate.
She protecc
She attacc
And most importantly
She in a flour sack 🤣
All these kids are gems are sooo cute!!
There is no way my grandma was wearing such adorable clothes in the 40's😧
All these babies are so adorable the third one especially oh my goodness her eyes
YOOO I SWEAR 2:18 THAT'S MY NEPHEW
Bro watching all these adorable kids made me realize any kid will look adorable in what you put them 😭 especially my own kid 😭
My family always took me shopping at OshKosh B'Gosh which is why they call me OshKosh B'josh. 😂
Love all these cuties!
I was an early 90's baby. Pastels of pink and aqua, Disney character printed shirts, velvet with lace dresses matched with frilled lace socks, .....And of course the the windbreakers.
My older brother and sister were early 80's babies. Can't vouch for their fashion. lol
2000s were only accurate if you were rich lmao. 1990s/2000s lower class kids remember the absolute atrocities our parents put us in lmao
We looked really stupid.
can we apeciate how CUTEEEEE these kids are???? OMG I JUST CANT!!! AHHHH
THIS IS THE CUTEST VIDEO EVERRRR 😭😍 1:35 has my whole heartttttt 🥰🥰
each of these babies MELTED me 🥺🥺
I thought the 80s where going to be some sort of Gage or Michelle tanner inspired clothes.
100 years of cuteness.💗💗💗
I was born in December of 1990. My mom mainly put me in onesies & frilly dresses when I was a baby.
My own son was born mid April of 2014. I mainly dressed him in onesies till about 5 months. Then he was in long sleeve shirts with pull up pants. Sometimes, I still put him in long sleeve onesies. It just depended on if I was going out of not.
The 80’s and 90’s stylings were WAY too modern. Not accurate at all. Where were the ugly sweaters, and neon and primary mixed patterns? A cohesive windbreaker and matching pants? In the 80’s? I don’t think so.
The 1960's baby was so cute omg
I find it absolutely adorable that people who made flour sacks knew they were being made into clothes so they were like let's give the children cute patterns
Ok but the mommy and me portion was so cute!!!
when you realise that this is also a 100 years of music evolution
I didn’t watch it for the clothes, I watched it to see the cutest babies!
i want a baby now.
I always wondered why flower sacks looked so cute and flowery, like pretty pillows!
IM NOT SO EARLY BUT I LOVE UR 100 YEAR VIDS.
1997 baby here: my grandparents live next to an outlet mall that has an oshkosh store. I was their first grandkid and the only granddaughter, so definitely 95% of my clothes were oshkosh as a baby and small child.
