A group of friends i was in figured out how to easily beat the mission just wipe out all the bug holes around the map and our spawns of bugs dropped off dramatically. the drills were easy to defend at that point, this was on difficulty 7
Not only both these points, but no nests/no nest bugs = no patrol bug breeches that can be called in on top of the ones that spawn for the drill. So on helldive you get like 7 breaches for the drill instead of 3 or 4. And even on lower diffs you can get about 5 at once.
@nelsonjackson5718 yeah but with stun grenades/ smoke/ static orbitals you could deal with those without to much of a problem. Despite it being an unintended bug. The fact those holes were so close to your teammates on such a small map meant you or a teamate was bound to be close enough to trigger many excess spawns that you didn't need to deal with in addition to the under drill spawns.

Sadly I can't join such event. I am on vacation and I would love to join this activity that is happening... But I can't cuz I dont have the permission, had to finish all my vacation time.
I think to reuse assets maybe they could make it so if you get to a certain percentage on a planet under the defend status that we switch from evacuating people and start attacking the hive and we get a modified version of this mission where we’re using dark matter to destroy the seed bed of the spores or explosives if you want to take away the lore implication of every planet potentially having a black hole forming in it
Me and my friends had a tactic for the drill where we all were using the lightning resist armor and had a ton of tesla towers 30m or so away from the drill. It was fun. First and only time we used that armor 😂
Imo the black hole is the coolest thing AH dropped since the game came out. Technically a blackhole that size is typically from a star, i think this "black hole" is an illuminate warp gate.
They need to hire a QC guy for patch testing. At my job a single blueprint goes through 4 different QC people and sometimes I get corrections months after sending them out so its extra strange for me when they put out a mission with 3 different game breaking issues (breach placements, shrikers level scaling and mission overview points). It was fun though ... when it worked
My question is, when you are transported back to Super Earth, before going to check out Meridia and you walk around, why does it look like the other Helldiver ships are engaging on the surface? It looks like they are actively attacking the ground...At least, that is what I saw.
The reason why you didn't get dropped into the grav well is the same reason you don't fall into a planet grav well, you are out of the pull. It is damn cool looking. Sucks I was busy the whole mission.
I was there with the best squad I ever played with. Almost clean run on level 9. Weird thing is, the new mission at Vega Bay, is Automaton territory. While the game said (I think) it was a Terminid oriented planet/theme. Correct me if i'm wrong..
5:53 I can confirm, this does NOT work lol...I went prone and immediately got hit 3 times in a row. It might work sometimes, but I had way better luck just hiding by a rock piller that was taller than me and putting my back to it with the incendiary breaker. They're weak enough that generally if you hit them once with it, they will day before hitting you again
Everything for me is a coincidence, Meridia's destruction, the black hole, longer time before they could release a patch = something is coming out of that black hole for sure and we all are excited to see them very soon.
I really dont think the dark fluid missions were meant to be easy wins. We tried really hard to finish that major order but whenever the order is stupid hard, its for a story related reason.
I was there when the planet collapsed. I feel like this gravitational anomaly is gonna be found by someone else in the galaxy. With the fronts being a little stagnated, I feel like it’s grounds to bring the illuminate back With a lot of silence from their existence in the game, this big “explosion” caused by humanity will probably bring attention to super earth and her colonies to other sentient beings in the galaxy like the ones that gave us the Alcubiere drive for our destroyers that allow us to have FTL jumps
my thought on the patch. some weapon buffs not all. level 5 ship module. new war bond. new faction. some new missions, some new strats. 1 weapon, 1 eagle 1 turret etc
Black holes can have varying sizes to their event horizons. It really only appears like the ship is dangerously close to it because there's nothing else to compare size with. That black hole could be the size of the entire star system that Meridia used to exist in and even when you're millions of miles away it would still look like you're really close to it. And realistically, that black hole wouldn't have just destroyed the planet of interest Meridia, it would have destroyed the entire Meridia system. Meridia's star and all of whatever planetary neighbors it had would have been sucked into the black hole along with it. XD
The community shares some of the blame for how things have been going this past month. Many peoples lack of patience and understanding has fueled a good deal of the burn out the devs have been facing. We keep demanding them to do better but never allow them the time and conditions they need to do better. The constant attacks over balance, the accusations of devs taking away everything fun, and even the death threats were not something the Devs needed to have added to their already copious work load. This isn't an us vs them thing. We all share some responsibility towards the future of this game. Its highly hypocritical to ask the Developers to be professional when we cant even do the same and give them a little decency.
counter to that they wouldnt be getting attacked if they 1. didnt fuck with the spawns 2. didnt nerf things and especially the primary's like really? you nerf the guns we have to use most of the time and it wasnt little nerfs it was the old sledge hammer been used as a scalpel and death treats ok a little overboard but i can understand it like they purposely made the game way harder then it needed to be and for whatever reason and in some cases out right impossible to even have a chance at winning
I don't think the Super Colony plot is over from the Terminid side. Check out the news update in the game that arrived earlier today (before the operation completed). Terminid activity on Meridia declined before the collapse. So what if they fled, knowing what would be coming up?
because of work i could only play the mission 3 times and of those i only got to the end twice. when i encountered the shriekers the second time i went prone and crawled to extraction all while hip firing my revolver into never ending swarms of bugs sweeping down on me. ngl probably the most cinetamtic thing i have ever seen in this game.
As a Super Citizen, I can confirm that the status of Super Citizen grants one the choice of imposed service to Super Earth. There is no greater freedom!
What it needs right now: Is a bloody sink for samples etc.. Being capped on everything does not really give an insentive to keep playing. And not a trade sample A for sample B, cuz that is also just avoiding the main issue with it. All the other stuff that most people mention should be fixed, be it sooner or later.. But seriously, give me a way to keep using my samples for something that can provide me with a little bit of power, even if its a 0.00001 increase for 200 common samples, I dont care.. But yeah there is no power progression, there is true power fantasy. Love the game, but it is missing something along those lines. Ps. great video.
3:59 to be fair the planet is being blown up BECAUSE there were too many terminids and the planet was beyond saving. I would say it was fair all things considered.
All I wanted is change back “QUAZAR CANNON” back to its original when it first dropped as intended, not give it a crazy extended timer which is already a bad idea to begin with ?! - who think it was a right to complain about a stratagems weapon when is not even a default loadout weapon - is made for heavy arm units not for the regular grunts we have other stratagems for that

Whenever I completed the mission it always said we failed. So I’m glad that the Meridia is finally over with.
I been grinding D2 ahead of The Final Shape. Great job destroying that Terminid supercolony and ripping a hole in the fabric of spacetime, Helldivers!
We may have effectively kicked a hornets nest into illumets bathroom.
My question is, when you are transported back to Super Earth, before going to check out Meridia and you walk around, why does it look like the other Helldiver ships are engaging on the surface? It looks like they are actively attacking the ground...At least, that is what I saw.
I’ve been on vacation during the entirety of this major order…
Helldivers adapted, improvised, and overcame the bugs and the bug.
Stuns and EMS was the strategy, not smokes. 2 people could easily do the mission (but extraction was another issue).
On top of everything, you said it needs crash fixes. I keep ending back up on the ship. (Verified steam files, not my PC specs.)
Middle of June the game needs the balance patch, new warbond and the fricking Illumates, that would be epic and bring a bunch of players back.
Ship upgrades or weapon upgrades something we can spend our samples on
5:53 I can confirm, this does NOT work lol...I went prone and immediately got hit 3 times in a row. It might work sometimes, but I had way better luck just hiding by a rock piller that was taller than me and putting my back to it with the incendiary breaker. They're weak enough that generally if you hit them once with it, they will day before hitting you again
The only thing community managers do is put salt on the wound and trigger players
Everything for me is a coincidence, Meridia's destruction, the black hole, longer time before they could release a patch = something is coming out of that black hole for sure and we all are excited to see them very soon.
i just completed a 7 mission with 3 randoms on meridia when it happened. we did it felllow helldivers that unholy planet has been annihilated!
I wonder why killing the fun updates was easy to make and rolling back is so time consuming
With the fronts being a little stagnated, I feel like it’s grounds to bring the illuminate back
With a lot of silence from their existence in the game, this big “explosion” caused by humanity will probably bring attention to super earth and her colonies to other sentient beings in the galaxy like the ones that gave us the Alcubiere drive for our destroyers that allow us to have FTL jumps
my thought on the patch. some weapon buffs not all. level 5 ship module. new war bond. new faction. some new missions, some new strats.
XD
What community managers actuallly do now is push their ideiologies and alienate the main player base.
Its highly hypocritical to ask the Developers to be professional when we cant even do the same and give them a little decency.
counter to that
they wouldnt be getting attacked if they
1. didnt fuck with the spawns
2. didnt nerf things and especially the primary's like really? you nerf the guns we have to use most of the time and it wasnt little nerfs it was the old sledge hammer been used as a scalpel
and death treats ok a little overboard but i can understand it like they purposely made the game way harder then it needed to be and for whatever reason and in some cases out right impossible to even have a chance at winning
The music when you fast traveled to meridia was also different, a little slower I think.
You can’t just glass a planet. Doom music intensifies
I don't think the Super Colony plot is over from the Terminid side. Check out the news update in the game that arrived earlier today (before the operation completed). Terminid activity on Meridia declined before the collapse. So what if they fled, knowing what would be coming up?
Ships have FTL drives, pretty sure they can escape a black hole.
I’m sad I missed the operation. I had to work the days the new mission was live and now I won’t get to play it. Bums me out a bit. It sounded cool.
Also more ship upgrades and a separate resupply for the mechs
because of work i could only play the mission 3 times and of those i only got to the end twice. when i encountered the shriekers the second time i went prone and crawled to extraction all while hip firing my revolver into never ending swarms of bugs sweeping down on me. ngl probably the most cinetamtic thing i have ever seen in this game.
What they need to do is add DLSS and FSR like other games on the same engine have had for a while now. So I’m patiently still waiting for that…
Live code, and their test server code is totally different. It may have been working fine, and only encountered a bug on live servers.
All I wanted is change back “QUAZAR CANNON” back to its original when it first dropped as intended, not give it a crazy extended timer which is already a bad idea to begin with ?!
- who think it was a right to complain about a stratagems weapon when is not even a default loadout weapon
- is made for heavy arm units not for the regular grunts we have other stratagems for that
This shit cool as hell
Seeing this reminds of the movie zathrua when I was a kid
