"Errol" is another great song of theirs. And of course "Boys light up" and "Oh no, not you again.".
James Reign went on to a solo career. Many a backyard BBQ listening to this band. Good times. 👍
We still see that bloke singing in Pubs today around Australia
I loved this. Not Australian but I am loving the vibe. Especially the bass.
Every tourist in Oz that picked up this song, refer to it as their soundtrack to their visit.
Australian here well done mate 👏
Very Aussie terminology in this song. Icon band of Australia. ❤❤❤🇳🇿🦘
Burke & Will initials in the tree. ….hah ! It’s so us.
What a great vibe this song has. James Reyne was so charismatic. Love it!
Was?
We greatly appreciate it mate.
🖤🖤🖤YOU WOULD LIKE "BOYZ LIGHT UP" AUSTRALIAN CRAWL. ALMOST AN ANTHEM HERE ..THIS SONG IS JUST ABOUT BEING ALONE APPARENTLY..
I vote for another one ☝️🥳🚌💨💨💨
@@rfern1965 got mine too😉👍💨💨pass🚌💨💨💨💨💨
Aussie Crawl. Love their sound, so different to other bands we had in the 80’s but it was a stable at most BBQ’s. True that James Reyne (pronounced like Rain) articulation was hard to get sometimes, but the music was understatable. Another good tune is Errol about the movie star Errol Flynn from 🇦🇺 The singer in that song was Guy McDonough. Other songs would be Downhearted, The Boys Light Up, Beautiful People, Oh No Not You Again (also sung by Guy). I did love the one’s Guy sang. RIP Guy who passed back in 1984
Aus Crawl and the singer James Reyne are legends down here. This song evokes Sydney Harbour and the ferry to Manly. They have other songs that are not quite so chill. I love James Reyne’s solo song Fall of Rome, that rocks along very well indeed
Aussie music from the 70's on is massively under-rated.
Dragon.Noiseworks.Divinyls.The Models.Spy vs Spy.The Radiators.Rose Tattoo....and that's just off the top of my head.You can't go wrong.
For an Oz Crawl tune to follow up go with Hoochie Coochie Fiorucci Mama.
Great song, glad you enjoyed it (somewhat) 😀 It's a song for midday bar-b-ques or late at night when everyone is winding down
If you want some really epic from James Reyne post Australian Crawl, try “Always The Way” from his eponymous album in 1987. American Jef Scott’s guitar work will leave you in raptures.
The singer, James Reyne, also had a very successful solo career with many big hits after the band split up.
Oz Crawl are Aussie legends I remember seeing them twice in the early 80's with the Radiators I've never had a better night.
.....best songs for Aussie Crawl (including Reckless) - Daughters of the Northern Coast. James Reyne (lead singer) does a legendary job with Motor city too. Maybe more your speed Rollen those songs.
Motor City with Company of Strangers is excellent
This was a good vibe , never heard it before. It came out the year I graduated HS so this would’ve been way too mellow for me then. 👍🔥🫶🏽🔥🚌💨💨😶🌫️💨💨
🖤🖤🖤HEY ROB 🖤🖤🖤
@@frenchiefrenchie8575 frenchie always great to see you along the journey. You do your rum straight or with coke🥃?👍🚌💨🫶🏽💨
@@rfern1965 definitely with coke for me😂, I gotta keep that sweet tooth happy😆👻💨💨pass🚌💨💨💨💨💨
@@frenchiefrenchie8575 hey Frenchie 🙋🏻♂️, if that's your real name🤨🧐🕵️♂️🤣👍❤️🔥🚌💨💨💨💨💨
I was wondering when it came out, I bet it was a radio song. Maybe the propaganda before the gun grab down there. Not sure if this was before or after. But it seems to fit for me🙄🤔😏💨💨 PASS 🚌💨💨💨💨
Am an Aussie and have always loved this song! So many great ones from this band, I love “Hammerhead” with backing vocals by Olivia Newton John. Terrific band live, have seen them at quite a few pubs. They were from the Mornington Peninsula, way outside of inner Melbourne.
Hammerhead wasn’t an Australian Crawl song.
@@jamesgray2353 James Reyne and Olivia NJ, I don’t think it really matters does it!
@@karenglenn6707 It only “matters” if you want to get it right.
@@jamesgray2353 splitting hairs isn’t it? Still James Reyne.
@@karenglenn6707 One is a band that Reyne used to be member in, the other is a work in his own right as a solo performer. Splitting hairs? I don’t think so.
The extra line got you there
There must've been a lot of Prozac in the studio when they put down this track.
Heroin was the drug of choice back then.
Definitely their best song
Of their hits this is really most chill very different from 'Errol' or 'Boys Light Up'
Their song Downhearted is a classic tune.
Oz crawl .. legends.
James is very talented 👏
Written by Paul Kelly. So much Australian imagery in the '80s lyrics.
Guitar solo by Brad Robinson (RIP) at 7:20 is just beautiful and timeless.
Paul Kelly? Reckless was written by James Reyne.
Kelly eventually did a cover version.
And the guitar solo was done by Simon Binks, not Brad Robinson.
highly overplayed on aussie radio in the 80s!...but...it is a really great song..
your radio voice is awesome! LOL
Lol ………. U only need to hear this song. Once and U will end up humming or singing the main chord sometime in your life who knows when or where? , mark my words✌️🇳🇿🌏
🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Get pick up Rollen - but I think you will enjoy the vibe and sentiment of another one of their songs 'Boys Light Up' - they have got a brilliant back catalogue, but this is definitely on the slowest end of it.
if it's all up hill from this point, I could not ask for more. very cool!
We didn't have any bands like Journey. Our bands were pub bands. You had to be able to play a pub to be successful
Long video but the song is nice
Listen to their song "unpublished critics".. You've heard it before under the title of "sweet child of mine". Yeah gunners ripped it off from Aussie crawl. They were on the same geffen label. 😆
Yep yep yep
The Angels, and Rose Tattoo are also great Aussie rock bands I think you’d like.
Here check this out if ya like Rose Tattoo - ua-cam.com/video/fitciYI0jGI/v-deo.html
Hey mate, if you'd like a bit more upbeat aussie classic check out Men at Work- Land down under. Great song, & the lead singer could be your twin
Okay man, you'll get an up vote, because we all know they aren't all gonna hit. And you owned it. The song wasn't horrible, but Wondering if it's propaganda before their gun grab down under🤔🕵️♂️. The down vote wasn't for the song, it was just because that was an absolutely RECKLESS way to start an after hour get together 🙄🤦🏻♂️😏. It's 3:10 am, and that drained the last bit out of me😮💨🥱😴💤! I kinda wanna smoke one more and do one more video, but then your probably gonna wake me back up😆. I shall ponder this thought 🤔 💭 for a moment ❤️🔥😉👍🚌💨💨💨💨
Go for it because it gets much better. The flip at Epic Clapton is worth the cover charge 👍😉🚌💨💨😶🌫️💨💨
@@rfern1965 I somehow knew it would be😁, I made through to after struggle😉, but I'm definitely done now, not because I'm tired, just because I know I regret not getting at least a nap, that shit catches up quicker these days😏💨💨pass, okay, that's the last one😌, I have an addiction man, my name is Mike, and....... 😆
Thank you, this made comment clip #2
Scott and burk and wills died chasing what they were after
Scott's expedition party, like Burke and Wills, got to where they wanted to go (in Scott's expedition case, the South Pole) but died on their way back.
This is an extremely moody track. It's kind of shocking that it became such a hit.
Shocking?
Your intro is too long and a sad amount of level in the music
Boring song, I hated it. Try Things Dont Seem, Downhearted, Oh no, not you again, Unpublished critics, The Boys light up, Errol All better tracks than that one.
James reyne - some people
