Looks like so much fun. Zoey, I hoped you filmed her in evening she was smiling and running good times for the dog.having her scent everywhere might help the ground hog move away. Might be interesting to put up a trail cam to see what is going on at night.

So awesome! I would get some rain barrels to catch the rain fall from the barn to store up some free water since there isn’t a lot of water out there. Its going to be such a fun and good learning experience this summer. Excited to see what ya with it. 😊

You could use the pile of dirt to level out the rutty parts of the property. If you don't have water on the property, you can do eavestroughs into rain barrels. Vole/Mole traps and cats will take care of the little critters.

This shit is so Stardew Valley, muhahaha ^^ All we need is each month a different Festival with a contest, and the winners get a present. AND we need some chickens and goats. For productivity you also need a good automatic watersystym :)

I put the trays on tables then move that in and out of garage. Too bad those units aren't on casters then you could just wheel it in and out. Excited to watch the developments at the farm. 🌱

I think 🙏 the chances of frost are over, so the dahlias are going in!! Are all your dahlias going to the farm or are you planting some at the house?
Have a a nice Memorial Day! I was going to say a restful day…lol…but we know there is no time for that!!

Take that barn wood you took down, make a large flat piece the size of a sheet of plywood, put some roller wheels on it, put the plant trays on it. Drill a hole in the end of the platform, tie some rope in there, then you can pull all the plants out of the garage on wheels.

    • @GuidingGreenThumbs

I dont, we still get damage from critters but our dogs help to keep things away during the day and we spray Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit repellent for the night time. Not foolproof but helps!

Voles have shorter tails than rats and some are pretty large. They love damp or wet soil. I have lots of them in my fields. They eat the grass roots in winter. Yearly population varies here. Some years their diggings make it bumpy to mow the field and other years I don’t see many diggings at all.

Muskrats and rats…. Voles are slightly bigger than mice… trap the muskrats, they will ‘hurt’ the pond.

That's a RAT... a field rat.... always find them in pastures when you cut that thick grass.
