When I was a kid I used to be bullied because I was hyper. I always wanted something to do, wanted something to talk about. I never really had friends. I toned all that down and I’m extremely quiet. But I always watch Nichole because she makes me feel like I can be a bit more myself.

Omg I love Nicole Byer SO MUCH. She had me laughing so hard when I watched Nailed It. I've never seen a hostess who was just such absolute fun and goofy and completely unafraid to be herself. She was a queen on that show, and I am in utter awe of her. I was quoting her "Wes" all the time. ^^ I was really sad when I finished binge watching all the Nailed It shows. They need to make more seasons! Also a friend of mine just told me yesterday that he had her as a guest at his comedy club and I was shocked and envious. I LOVE YOU NICOLE!!!

I used to watch Girl Code all the time after I got home from school; and that show weirdly helped me be okay with openly talking about female things that everyone else taught me was a very ‘hush hush’ topic and not to speak about it around males. I loved that show 💙

i used to listen to nicoles podcast allllll the time during my late teens-very early 20s and her outlook on life (trying to find joy/fun in everything) has really shaped my view of life as well. If youre reading this nicole, just know you are influencing others to be smily lil dummies with you!!

I thought about what she said about being lucky, and it is true but it doesn't take away the fact that she is incredible at what she does and works really hard and the fact that she didn't let others change her is awesome because her personality is so likable and she definitely deserve all the opportunities she has got! I GREW UP ON GIRL CODE !! I remember being so excited every time it came on MTV. It got me excited watching Nicole and Awkwafina start to blow up! She’s so exciting to watch, listen to, and her work ethic is inspired. I have been told by t w o people now in my days that I give them anxiety because I’m “kind of ✨a lot✨”. So seeing Nicole stride towards her legacy is very cool for someone who wants to make people laugh one day.

The acting to get through something, because you can pretend to be someone else, really hits home. I’m not a professional at all (I do community theater) but being involved in theatre has got me through some of the toughest moments in my life. When I was going through really hard times in middle and high school, when my parents got divorced, ect. I was able to just pretend to be someone else.
tbh. i discovered nicole from when we watched nailed it in the psych ward, and tbh nicole's humor kept me sane while i was there. theres not a lot of media that i watched in the psych ward that i can still stomach today, but nailed it is the exception. i continued to watch it when i was discharged because it ended up being a comfort show. and i can confidently attribute all of that to nicole. i feel like that was a dark part of my life where i learned a lot of important lessons, and i probably would've blocked it out entirely if it weren't for the show and nicole.
The part about manifesting planes flying reminded me of the ending of Elf where people believing in Santa made his sleigh fly 😂

I grew up watching girl code when I was honestly far too young to be watching a show like that, and I've always loved Nicole Byer. Her energy is just so contagious and of all the wonderful ladies from that show, Nicole is the only one whose name I still recognize and the only one I still enjoy watching
