It wasn't always free. A lot of the time the pizzas are ordered and the streamer gets told something "10 large pizzas that will be X total" by the driver. On top of that they're expected to tip the driver as well. Unless you're calling from a landline, 911 does not have your exact location. they can maybe ping your location to the closest cell tower in the moment. But it is not currently possible to trace the call to an exact location/caller within the 30 seconds to 10 minutes a 911 call usually lasts. All they know is that someone could possibly be losing their life _right now_ and so they act accordingly. The risk of not believing the caller is that someone could die. It's unfortunate that for situations like this, the risk of _believing_ the caller is _also_ that someone might die.

Me and my immediate family are all on the spectrum, and getting swatted sounds like an absolute horror story. When you have people with guns that DO NOT CARE if you live or die and are ready to fire, it is an actual nightmare for people who don't react the most logically to situations. Hearing QT talk about her PTSD from the situation teared me up just because I know from just getting pulled over that if I were to have a meltdown, I'd be dead and everyone would see it as my fault for not reacting correctly to an intensely stressful and hostile situation. It makes you wonder if we should be teaching children from a young age how not to be shot by the police, and how to present as little threat as possible so they can be safe from the "protectors" of peace.

If a call like that turns out to be a prank, they're still fired up and full of adrenaline. They go in there fully ready to kill another human being and are asked to help look for a cat.

As a fellow fan (not rly) of both suicidal tendencies and thoughts, I can't help but weep for her. It sucks living this life, it always finds ways to creep back in your head, no matter how well you're doing, and it never truly goes away. I always feel like I'm fending off challengers that wish to duel me to death. And the thought of losing the duel one day, scares the living shit out of me.

Yeah I have to disagree, I've struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for well over a decade now, tried to kill myself a few times, but I have never been scared by it or found the thoughts scary. Often times it's a really peaceful thought. Like I have been fully prepared to die before and I was so at peace and relaxed and comfortable. It's not an uncommon response to death or near death experience but maybe it's less common in terms of suicide? When the brain knows it's gonna die it floods with chemicals, basically you trip out on feel good happy chemicals, it's your brains way of protecting you from fear and pain. I can experience that sometimes by tricking my brain to think we are gonna die.

I had heard about the swatting incident, but I didn't know it was like this intense, that's horrifying 😢 and the fact that it happened again so close to the end of the subathon just when she felt safe enough to let her guard down for that night... I honestly truly think that unwarranted swatting like that should get jail time, because not only are you wasting police time and resources that could go to actually helping someone who's in genuine danger, you are also deliberately putting innocent people's lives at risk and causing trauma. And clearly that caller KNEW that, since they said "I'm gonna come out and shoot." They WANTED someone to get hurt. I understand that anyone somewhat well-known is bound to have haters, but to hate someone you've never even met so much that you will go to such lengths to put them in harm's way is just mindboggling to me.

This is more or less how Marzia felt, according to her own words she lost her identity as herself because people mainly treated her as Pewdiepie's girlfriend (now wife) and not as Marzia. Can you imagine what it must feel like being treated as if you dont exist outside of the context of another person? It's insane that women are more likely to be treated this way. Marzia is just one of many examples and I'm sorry to mention specifically her but unfortunately she's the biggest example of being mistreated by other people this way. I felt profound sadness about this just from looking at a photo of women many years ago, on a wall in a curling club. All those women were posing for the photo, and underneath the photo I could read their names, but it was all "Mrs." + Husband's Name. I could totally see qt transitioning to a behind the scenes person one day. Any organization, group, or company would be lucky to have her. Her work ethic and original ideas would uplift any brand.

Her boyfriend Ludwig has started a production company and they’ve both talked about retiring from streaming eventually and doing that + running a bakery together (she used to be a pastry chef and he is French and loves to bake bread), so it’s genuinely not super unlikely that that’s what she does/ends up doing someday

started bawling at her talking about her mother because she literally says it exactly how it is.

The fact that she apparently apologized after this recording because she thought it wouldn’t get very many viewers just makes this sadder.

Listening to her talk about her mom....my mom was the same way, super attentive but with the best intentions. Constantly affirming that me being myself was the best thing I could do for myself. Losing a parent young is so hard, I was 16 and whenever you think about that parent you back to the age you were when it happened and it hurts just the same. I wish I could give her a hug 💞 I know that pain and how endlessly lonely it feels. Glad I watched this interview she seems like a really cool person
