we played this in high school and i still get goosebumps every time
At my school we are going to play this lol.
we're playing it this year lol 😭🙏
MAN.. Maslanka's music is SO good, but I think our band director really wants to send us to hell with these pieces lmao

Playing this one in Music Fest Nationals in Toronto. As a Trumpet player this piece is so interesting and rewarding.hope I do well.
I just played that piece at my college's concert band performance last night! This piece felt very lively and fast!
I played this in high school….. and I remember feeling so inspired and excited. Really a wonderful piece
this song is so good
i have only been playing baritone for about 6 months now and this is what we are playing for concert festival in spring,,,, I am going to hell!
Same
i’m playing the bari sax part this spring, best of luck!!
We love using a video to learn the music during quarantine
Seperate Trombone 1 and 2. Don’t write them on the same page. It makes it so hard to read correctly
I remember playing it, that last few lines where so hard to play as a trombone player
It's literally accidental soup, I hate it
I feel your pain
Goodluck saying that to the one and only David Maslanka! 😂
For me it’s separated
Played this in highschool felt bad for the 🎷 section
God playing this song as a trombone player was hell.
You poor soul. Playing this as a euphonium sucks. I can’t imagine playing trombone for it.
I really like this work and its tense atmosphere. Thanks and greetings from Caracas!
Bravo Jacqueline Townsend!!
Nice to see some honor. Her new light will grow so big is removing all evil by the minute
I’m here for my band assignment.
Same
Not for a band assignment, but I just listen to the songs anyway because they are sometimes coll
Guys, I think I'm cooked 😖 I have to play this for my band's spring concert
Me too dawg😭
Me too 😭😭 were cooked
WE'RE NOT MAKING IT 😭😭😫
love this song
i HATE playing this song i don’t think there’s a song i’ve hated playing more the music is so ugly (JUST SEPARATE THE GODDAMN PARTS ITS NOT THAT HARD) and the tempo is stupidly fast (86 MEASURES A MINUTE. THAT IS INSANE.) BUT IT SOUNDS SO COOL. FOR A SONG THAT IS SO GODDAMN INFURIATING TO PLAY IT SOUNDS SO COOL.
I hated playing this piece, too. God awful for the carpal tunnel!
I have to play the bassoon part
I know this comment is 4 years old but literally me ToT
Dor bass clarinets the notes are written needlessly weird. Like he wrote Gb and F#. As well as G# and Ab. Just. Pick. One. Dispite the wierdness, I'm loving this piece.
Playing this for high school band. Sucks. Rhythms are stupid.
it is an insanely hard piece. I think it sounds really cool on the contrary
@@masonhuebler2026 I think it sounds cool too. I would listen to it every day, but having to play it every day.... That's another thing.
ChalixX XxilahC Doing this for my select band. Its hard, but subdivision is key! Best of luck to you.
Had to improve my tonguing for this piece. Also took me a bit to get used to the speedy tempo
ikr. i haven’t even been playing my bari for very long and now im going to superhell 😭 at least my fingers will be good or something
