The tail feature is awesome! And they even let you be more precise with the tail start! These machines are crazy. Once you get the hand of it, they just fly
Hey Rob, thank you so much for this feedback it really means a lot as I try to improve video by video. I’m so glad that you enjoyed this and thank you for This feedback it really means a lot. Blessings to you my brother
Can’t wait for your channel to blow. You really drop a lot of gems for us MPC heads. Dope content. Amazing camera and video editing. Please continue to drop more tutorials!!
Hey Amari, you have no idea how much it means to me reading this message. I appreciate the support and thank you for taking your time to check out the channel it really means a lot. Bless up my brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing your work flow and tips, I’m coming from a 2000XL I’ve only had the Live 2 for 2 weeks so I’m a newbie! I’m loving the potential of what I’ll be creating when I master it!👏🏾
Just got the MPC one and I started on a MPC 2000 and 1000. What a huge work flow difference. Your videos have been great for me figuring out how to maneuver this new machine!
Warping audio in the MPC is awesome when it works but it does have its minor limitations but overall I’m extremely happy to have it in our MPC‘s. I definitely want to do a video on this topic since there’s so much more with time stretching and warping audio. Blessings to you my brother and thank you for dropping by.
The warp function actually works a lot better when using the MPC software. It puts all the work of warping the sample on your computer instead of the MPC. It also keeps the original audio in tact with minimal loss of sound quality. Make sure to change the warp setting to "Elastique Pro (Best Sound)" in the software preferences under General > Audio Warp and BPM Detect.
Hey brother, thank you so much for dropping by ensuring is input it really means a lot. And absolutely there’s so much you can do with this machine I’m only covering half of what it can do. Much love and blessings to you.
Just got my hands on an MPC one and have been looking for a way to do this! Keep coming back to your vids for new tips. Keep up the good content brother👊🏻🔥
You teach very well. I have learned tons watching your stuff. Even when you do tutorials for MPC Live 2 (I have an MPC One). I'm amazed at how much I pick up about MPC One even after learning about certain techniques from watching these Live 2 videos. Bless!
I came from the 2000XL, bought it new and then sold it a few years later. Had a break from music, moved on to computers when ableton was released then came back to Akai when I got myself a One (now own the live2) . Wish I’d had it 20 years ago. Great time to be making music, so much awesome hardware atm.
Hey Marco, my goodness it’s so funny how you mention your journey because it is identical to mine step-by-step lol. And I know exactly what you mean with these newer machines on how convenient and great they are coming from the older machines.
@@malobeats lol, we must have been separated at birth. It’s quite interesting how many old school MPC guys have come back to Akai with these new machines. What slowed my knowledge down was not having all these awesome videos on UA-cam. It was just trial and error and the odd tutorial in future music magazine which never made any sense.
Great info Bro. I finally bought the MPC One had it now for almost a week. Reason is a beautiful workstation and I've been loyal to the brand for over 25yrs I'm changing my Weapon of Choice I'm in the MPC Fraternity now...😄 Owning the Roland MV 8000 made learning the button layout easy so I'm banging and learning from you brah. Hey brother, you have no idea how much this means to me I really appreciate you taking the time and sharing this feedback. Thank you my brother and blessings to you
much appreciated tips bro! i’ve been looking for a way to close that gap, this will help a lot. Beat is fire!!! It be cool if you made a follow along video. But much Props! keep it going.
Hey Gabriel, I appreciate you dropping by with this feedback it really means a lot. And thank you for bringing up this idea as this would be extremely fun. I’m definitely going to be doing something similar to what you mention. Thank you so much for these ideas
That’s nice, I had the 2500 a few years ago which was an awesome machine but I never really worked with it as much to figure out the ins and outs of it
Hey brother, thank you so much for this input it really means a lot. I actually edit my videos in Final Cut Pro, I’ve been using Final Cut Pro for a while and it’s been very fast when it comes down to editing. I really want to do a video down the road on how I feel these videos and edit them so hopefully I can put out this video sooner than later.
Another great one! The tail is an amazing feature but we need to blend it in the overall beat (as in no highlighting that particular part on the sound in like a mute or something). I came straight to the MPK then the MPC One .
MV8000! MPC Live II is my first MPC. lots of things are easier to perform such as sequencing and chopping samples. But the MV had a mastering suite which would easily allow me to make my beats demo ready.
My goodness, thank you for sharing this. So many people have mentioned great things about the MV 8000 I’ve never used it myself but it seems like it had a lot packed into that box.
@@malobeats The MV is a great piece of machinery. it is a DAW in a box. Most beautiful feature of it is that you can connect a monitor and mouse to the unit. My issue is that because it was such an old model there isn't a lot of support for it. Once I purchased the MPC Live II I've been able to learn from people using the One and the X. Again, main thing I miss is not having a mastering suite with templates, such as "pop" or "dance" music mastering. Thanks for the vid Malo
OK, so before I even critique your demo...I bought my first MPC2000 in actually 2000, lol...then bought me the 1000 and noticed the added effects, but became disilluioned with Akai altogether because having to pay extra for shit that I could probably make on my was a bit much. but I am leaning on buying me the Live II, of which I've heard has a big learning curve when it comes sound banks, but I've never used them at all because I do my digging for the perfect beat. be it a kick, a hi-hat, bass and what not...I can't try to stick to sound banks because it just sounds dumb like I haven't done my own homewor....waiting to be amazed though. thank you either way. :)
Yes I was actually a bit skeptic at first when I jumped onto the newer MPCs but once I did that transition I haven’t looked back ever since it just works in every way and saves so much time. Thank you do much for taking the time to share your input, this means a lot. Blessings to you my brotha 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks again for the vid! Regarding the first part of it (warp/bpm adjust etc) what if the drums are played rather than a drum break? I chop up my break and play the kick, snare, hats etc differently. Much appreciated!
This is pretty much a non issue. When I was on the mpc 2500, I learned to just extend all your chops and assign them all to the same mute group. Never had an issue with gaps
With the mps studio mk2 ? If so that is a great question as I’ve not tried using the tail length on the software. If anybody else knows please share it with us.
Man, that tail length part helped me so much, I couldnt figure out how to smooth those parts out for the longest! Much appreciation, TY fam!
Hey man, I’m so glad you took the time to share his input. I’m glad this was helpful. Much love and blessings to you.
Same man, 😂😂😂 I'm stoked right now!! 🔥 📛 👩🚒 🚒

That sample tail feature is dope. That's what Propellerheads Recycle does. I think you can also do something similar with the SP1200.
This dudes channel is gonna blow up....watch 🔥
I’m extremely humbled by this comment, I appreciate The support. Blessings to you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I like how you break down really complex stuff. Also the pace was real good without being too fast or too boring. 🙏👍
