Found it tiresome and boring. 90% of the film is spent in a mad max-wannabe wasteland with 90s/early aughts has-beens. Glad you enjoyed it. Found it BORING.
I just liked it as well. The stories in DP 1 and 2 were far superior and I had more of an emotional reaction to the first two movies compared to the third installment.
Yeah I think I value the approach to storytelling in movies more from the focus being put on characters & emotion, than just outright fanservice. The thing is, I do believe DP3 could've achieved both, but rather leaned heavily into one.
I don't see why it would be lol- Stark didn't make it- Stark tech is the only real tech using that nano shit- Ironman suit / Spidey- But why would Wolverine have it? lmao.
I like how the Marvel multiverse movies are showing all these ways variants can appear and how they can look similar , the same , or vastly different from versions we’ve seen previously . And this idea that you have characters like Blade that had movies produced by completely different studios just shows us virtually anyone can appear from anywhere in the multiverse saga .
Boba, I appreciate that your standards are generally consistent and fair. I've seen you criticize the length of a conversation between 2 secondary characters in Superman & Lois.
I got the sense that the real plot was a meta story about Disney absorbing Fox, and after they killed off Wolverine the whole Fox universe went to shit, so they decided to just wipe out all the old Fox characters but keeping Deadpool, and Deadpool being happy to cross over except he didn’t want to leave the Fox universe to die without giving them a proper send off, they even used Fox characters that never got a proper ending like Electra, Gambit, Blade, and finally gave us Hugu Jackman’s wolverine with the comic accurate costume etc. all the stuff with the TVA and the void was just surface level stuff to tell the underlying story in my opinion
I didn’t like the cgi tone. The whole environment in the void is that cgi world they had in antman 3… I liked how practical the other dead pool sets looked. And the plots were better than this one
It seems like A LOT was cut out of the film as well. Nicepool made it seem like Ladypool was the biggest threat in the Deadpool core, and yet she really wasn’t very different from any of the other variants threat wise. That’s just one example of many though.
Love your endless positivity and informed optimism for this content. Maybe it goes without saying, but I think one of the main reasons this movie does work and is entertaining is because of the performances by Reynolds and Jackman. I also wonder how people who aren’t dedicated fans feel about the movie with the fan service as the backbone.
This is like when a girl gets a Tesla and an ice cream cake on her birthday but then complains she should’ve gotten a Rolls Royce sports car and an ice cream birthday cake with gold sprinkles and diamonds. Good god
Basically & that's why I didn't 'love' it in a nutshell, all while still being quite entertained and find it enjoyable nonetheless. But for me, a movie that just goes all out fan service without bolstering other areas of what makes up a movie, ultimately isn't something I'd be like 'holy crap man that was INCREDIBLE OMG'. Doesn't mean it's something I dislike though, which oddly seems to be hard for some people to reconcile with.
@@firstlast9846 Stick to Pride and Prejudice. Stay away from superhero movies. It’s like someone going to McDonald’s and complaining it isn’t healthy as kale.
Purpose of a movie is to put butts in seats and inject a little fun into our boring mundane lives. The movie is fun and the bulk of fans will have fun with it and did enjoy. It
I agree. I think my favorite part of the whole movie is when they are in the car, seeing a more jaded Logan saying it how it is, and a sad with no comedy response Deadpool, and the fight between them was the highlight for me. Not all the jokes and some of the cameos didn't land for me. Act 1 I like, Act 2 also like, Act 3 was lacking. Cameos that I liked: Chris Evans' Johnny Storm, and the Mutants. Cameos that I didn't like: Those I didn't mention. Dogpool saved the movie.
As someone who didnt like dp1 and dp2 this one actually did it for me it felt like it finally clicked, im so surprised you didnt like it. My favorite joke was (spoiler) when cassie said she would enjoy killing them while flicking her bean to an enya album it was so stupid and yet worked and also channing as gambit actually worked??? Surprisingly delighted Edit: oop i see you liked it just not loved it and i get it. Tbh im easy to please i quite enjoyed the marvels and yet people hated it
Hey Daniel - I'm so surprised you said that I 'didn't like it' because I never said that in the video haha :P I just didn't 'LOVE' it as much as other people seem to for the reasons I mention :) & Yeah haha some jokes hit and some didn't but that was quite a surprising one to hear in the movie lool
My Dear Boba! Don't think you need to apologise for not going ape shit over a movie. As an old man, I agree with your opinions. It was OK for me but not to the extent that I was over the moon with TDK. Keep on Rockin' in the free world. Cheers
Great review, honestly. The sad thing is that the way the nerds eat up this fan service nonsense, the more and more we'll get this disappointingly shallow movies. And don't get me wrong either, I too enjoyed the movie. It was OK enough. Hugh was amazing and to finally see him in the cowl was cool. But the plot was absolutely paper thin and the incessant macguffins and multiverse nonsense, along with the cameos, are just a crutch for horrendously poor writing. It amazes me that people cannot see that. It's the equivalent of taking a rusted out old car with a missing engine and popped tyres, painting it shiny red and putting new tyres on, then selling it to people with stars in the eyes who profess it's the best car ever. You're quite right that literally there is still nothing under the hood, the car does not even go, let alone move at all, but it's just had shiny glitter sparkled over it.
Omg finally! I felt the same way!. I think the story and the feeling of high stakes were better in Deadpool 2 than this one. It just felt like eye candy. I'd give it a 7.5 or 7.8 outta ten. I think Deadpool kinda seemed dumber in this one. Exactly how Wolverine felt and yelled at him before the car fight was exactly how I was feeling.. IMO No Way Home worked better with bringing legacy characters back while still serving the narrative. They didn't just feel like cameros. Loved all of Wolverines scenes. Wish they showed flash backs of his X-men dressed in their classic suits. Would have been sick. Wonder if marvel didn't want that cuz they wanted "the classic look" for their version
For me, I loved the action/fighting scene in this movie, they really didn't held back at all... it feels like I was a kid smashing my two action figures at each other. But the plot and villain was kinda mid for me as well. The cameos were awesome and made my jaw dropped, until I realized they didn't served any purpose in the story besides for being fan service (except X-23). And the villain... like Casanova is OP she can literally do everything but yet it felt like the writers watered her down and wasted her full potential. She's like Francis in the first movie, boring and mid but with superpowers. Overall, the movie was great and had a lot of fun watching it, especially with friends, but if you think the plot of the story it kinda makes you question the whole movie.
There's a lot people who judge it okay or "just good", not superb. Not everything is just hot or cold, yknow. Guess it doesnt get so much attention if you present something without extremes in the media.
Really good review. I found the movie to be all about fan service. The quick scenes that included the little Wolverine, Henry Cavill's scene and the Hulk scene is what a segment of the fans wanted to see. I think they wasted Casandra she is truly twisted in the comics. The beginning of the movie was top shelf Deadpool. Digging up Logan's grave was comical. I enjoyed Gambit's powers (wish he had the eyes), loved the return of Blade/Electra/and X-23. Hated the Deadpool variants.
I too used the food analogy. It's like a cake, the story is the cake itself and the fan service is the icing. In DP3, the effort was put into the icing instead of the cake. it's a 6/10, maybe 7 at its highest points in my opinion. DP1 had such a brilliant story that I'd prefer it without the icing. I'm very much not a fan of overly raunchy humor, I'm a pretty watered down person but I could ignore it because of the story. DP3 didn't have too much raunchy humor, but it did have fan service and it felt very shallow to me.
Liked it for what it was, hopefully they take a closer look at a solo gambit flick after this cameo as well. That would be fantastic, he’s one of my favorites.
Even if someone didn't Ike this movie, its their God given right to say how they truly feel about it especially since any movie has the right to have constructive criticism.
I watched it twice because the first time I watched it I was like meh. I thought there was something wrong with me because I didn't feel like I enjoyed it as much as I should have or as much as other people did. The second time I enjoyed the movie a little more but I put it just a small amount over Deadpool 2 with Deadpool being my favorite Deadpool movie out of the three.
I loved the first movie. I liked the second movie. The third one had some good parts. But it wasn't for me. Mainly because it starts of being disrespectful to what James Mangold did with Logan as a character. But hey, it's Deadpool and Hugh Jackman is back right. So, if you can't see the fun in that, I must be really dumb 🙂
I think my feelings on the movie are pretty similar to yours, Boba. I will say that I think the new variant of Logan was handled well & they did well to give him a personal arc. Overall, I agree that I found the film enjoyable but much preferred Deadpool & Deadpool 2. Wade himself was as funny as ever but his story felt very tacked on & it was just re-covering ground better explored in the previous films. However, I would contrast D & W to Spider-Man: No Way Home. NWH is not a perfect film as there are things you just have to go along with & accept but it’s one of the best Marvel movies, in my opinion. NWH does have an emotionally charged story with something to say Re: second chances/redemption & saving your enemies and & a strong character focus on Holland’s Peter Parker, with the other Spider-Men also getting explored well (we get into Andrew’s headspace quite poignantly). While that movie did have all these cameos, they were used so as to further Tom’s Peter Parker character arc. NWH is the comparison I instantly made to D & W because, while it isn’t perfect either, for me it was a much better film and showed that D & W could have had these cameos & fanservice while telling a great story
They no longer prune timelines but they also established that they don’t just monitor the 616 tree but many other trees including the Fox Marvel universe .
Just clicked on video so u might touch upon my thoughts but this was the movie I’ve been most hype for for like 6 years now and I was very disappointed - 1. Nothing happened the entire movie, the go to a void filled with cameos then kill Deadpool’s then hold a wire. 2. Wolverine barely talks to deadpool so when they finally become family it doesn’t feel earned, it just feels like a 180 out of the blue. 3. The stakes were high but the didn’t feel that way, it would’ve been better had there been a villian like thanos destroying the world n they end it w Wolverine n DP fighting tg like they did against the 100 DPS but instead make it a huge threat tryna destroy the world n they kill all their henchmen. Wolverine sacrifices himself to save the world but ends up living anyways. Have wolverine and deadpool actuslly travel and journey throughout the movie and have touching moments with each other - instead this movie filled us with cameos on cameos and only spent time in the void
@@Lvestfold4143 we did actually but I didn’t care for the cameo plot that took away from our heroes and their adventure that barely happened go re watch it my dude take ur recency bias away and ur nostaglia bias away
@@tpsposts6825 yeah sure… I’m someone who wouldn’t have cared if all the Fox stuff was dropped like hot lead and the MCU just did a reboot of X-Men and the Fantastic Four in universe. I rather see a comic book accurate Wolverine and X-Men more like that from the animated series and 97 revival all with a clean slate. I haven’t even seen all the Fox X-Men films or even any of the Blade films so no I’m not blinded by nostalgia. I liked it because it was a fun movie. A comedy not meant to be treated seriously. The stuff you claim you wanted to see would have been another persons complaint of the film. They likely would argue the film is too derivative of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness if you got the film you wanted.
Thanks 💙💙for sharing your honest opinion despite all the hate you'll get!! Hopefully cuz it's a late review, less ppl will see it and post rude comments. 😐
Thanks haha, it's gonna be an interesting one. I highlighted 'LOVE' in the title since just because I didn't 'love it' like many seem to, it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it - but I know people wont even watch 30 seconds into the video to find that out but hey ho :P
I agree with you.Imo,like you said the movie could give you high with the nostalgia bait. But when that dies down. You then realized that the movie lacked any substance.Just like Spiderman NWH.
All film is subjective. Individuals experience films in different ways, & nobody is wrong. That's the beauty of all art. Then there are some ppl (like a certain UA-camr who shall remain nameless) who have hyped it up so much, that they feel obliged to praise it, & will make multiple trips to the theatres to rewatch the film. The dude I'm referring to is going to see it a total of NNE TIMES in theatres...I don't personally get it.
A really good way of putting it I heard was that the script is not very confident and what it wants to be besides being fan service and full of jokes I feel like the plot was really thin, and it probably was stronger with the first version of the script before marvel Disney Disney-fied it. It just feels really tame even for being a Deadpool movie. It doesn’t follow suit of the first two imo.
I wouldn't put it up there as one of my favorite comic book movies, but I did enjoy it enough to where I would go see it again. I do agree with Boba that it was mostly or heavily fan service (which is fine). That and a homage/love letter/swan song to the Fox Marvel films. And the food analogies are the perfect way to describe it.
You pretty much described how I felt about it too. With all the hype about the movie and Deadpool being “Marvel Jesus” I thought there would be more of a story. It was entertaining but got boring quick so I’m glad it’s not just me. Hopefully whatever was set up from this will pay off in future Marvel and Avengers movies
Boba, I agree with most of what you said..I grew up owning X-men and X-2 DVDs. This felt lilke a typical Disney movie with an L script with Fox characters.. I also formed a new found respect for the older X men movies, NGL..
I knew it was the right decision to subscribe to you 5-6 years ago, you're definetly not one of the @sslicker creators on YT, you've proved this time and again 👍
I really enjoyed the movie and had fun watching it with friends and family. I enjoyed the action sequences, most of the humor and cameos , as well as, seeing Hugh Jackman as the character in iconic suits. That being said I completely agree with the writing issues and lack of depth in parts of the movie. This is the type of movie you turn your brain off and enjoy the movie for what it is. Fun fan service
I loved it for what it was. I got to sit back, laugh, get hype and feel a emotion due to deadpool teying to save his friends from dying. He was selfless and i felt he had some growth. This movie entertained me from the 1st second to the last. Yes the story isnt as tight but everything else made up for it. I got my moneys worth while enjoying this with a crowd for the first time since endgame. This was great my fav of the 3
I left the movie honestly underwhelmed i enjoyed it but it was as u said a fun ride and fan service i felt the film lacked a bit in story, however after dwelling on it for a few days and thinking about how meta the story of the movie actually is and the fact that the plot is basically saying when Logan died the fox universe went to hell and died, is kinda funny when i was watching it i thought the ideal of the anchor being was stupid and a weak plot, but in the context of how meta the film is i began to appreciate the movie a bit more but i would of loved more emotional moments i think the scene in the car was the standout scene for me
About to see it tomorrow, yet watching a spoiler video for some reason. I just hope I get the references/cameos as I haven't seen all the X men movies.
I have the same thoughts as you boba truly enjoy i thought it was decent film with too many plot holes and cheap plot armor definitely feel like a cash cow however seeing hugh jackman put on the mask on and comic accurate wolverine suit was pretty cool.
Thank you for this review Boba. I kind of suspected as much from this movie. I am pretty much fed up with fan service movies that just cram hundreds of references and easter eggs. And i'm actually not a fan of Deadpool as a character in general. I absolutely adore the X-Men and i like him fine in small doses within that realm but as a standalone main character he's not my cup of tea at all. I wish they left Jackman's Wolverine with the beautiful masterpiece of Logan. Will watch this eventually. Oh and btw FREAKING LOVING THE CAPED CRUSADER THUS FAR!!!
The intro was great as they always are. I enjoyed the movie but I would agree it wasn’t the greatest movie I’ve ever seen. I think the first Deadpool movie will always be the best. It lost some heart and broke the 4th wall a little too much for me. The biggest thing I wasn’t a fan of was the cause of Wade and Vanessa’s break up. It came out of no where and it didn’t make sense to me. With that said, I still enjoyed the movie for other reasons. Loved seeing Gambit and the others, lots of fan service for sure
seen this in theaters opening weekend first movie iv gone to see in theaters since end game. was absolutely perfect for a deadpool movie. if you know deadpools tone both in the comics and the movies you know its the one time not to go into it with any real serious expectation especially toward the mcu and its continuity
It's a movie full of cameos and memberberries with a thin plot, edgy crude humor in parts and some good action scenes. This film was exactly what I expected it to be, it is worth a watch, but maybe more so on D+. Oh and Wolverine was the best part in it by a country mile.
So I might be late for the party as this video is from 4 days ago I always get late to your vids Anyways I did loved D&W, maybe not as much as D1 (I didn't like D2 the same as the first either) bit I did loved it It has its flaws in the plot and some illogical stuff like the dates/years issue (that was my first thought when I saw the movie), but I wasn't there for logic and plotwise D&W doesn't take itself seriously and we cannot wait for seriousness from a movie about a character that is self aware that is a fictional character, that breaks the 4th wall and makes satire about the very company that is producing/giving money to do a movie about him It's for entertainment and laugh, and enjoy the action/fights I wasn't really thrilled by the cameos, they were unexpected, but I was absolutely amazed by Wolverine and this iteration (even though I haven't read the comics I did grow up watching the animated series and the X-Men movies, and I was so happy to see this version on suit) If I had to rate it It would be an 8/10 (D1 is a 10/10 and D2 is a 7.5/10 for me and my taste) It was great movie because for that 2 hours I did suspend disbelief, and disconnected from real life (troubles and etc) and spent a wonderful time. And yes, Logan is in 2029 but Wade's universe is "dying" in 2024... Sooooo I call that a huge plothole That doesn't change the fact that I did enjoyed and loved the movie (for what it is) Edit to add: you said Cassandra is a weak ass villain, but Ajax was not great at all, or was he? And, who was the villain in D2? I think Emma did good performance and it seems she enjoyed doing it. Again: Sorry for the long take on the matter 😅 And sorry for my English
If people love this they can't complain about the multiverse of madness or the marvels anymore. They both were written way better than this. The bias to forgive the huge flaws in Deadpool and Wolverine is honestly confusing.
@kevinrudy paradox tells deadpool that his universe is dying because of wolverine who dead " but really wolverine dead in 2029 not 2024" this makes the story useless and confusing
Boba I have a friend who used to eat sloppy Joe (meat) with sugar on top of it. Everyone thought he was insane but I tried it and I have to be honest, it was actually good in a very interesting and weird sort of way.
I feel the exact same way you do. I didn’t want to admit it but I do feel like the story could have been better. I had a good time with the movie with all the cameos, action, and some of the humor but the story and writing didn’t really do it for me. I kind of feel like the odd one out since majority of the Internet is loving the film. But that’s just my opinion.
I liked Deadpool and Wolverine, but I felt like I could've waited until it was released on streaming to watch it other than I didn't want the cameos ruined by waiting so long. Twisters was a much better big screen theater experience.
Loved the movie- but hate hate HATE the Void.... the entire Void story line was horrible to me- but loved it still. Just wish the void part was left out. - I also hated it in Loki
Similar to what how I felt when I saw the movie. It is a FUN movie, but with the story, it is the weakest in the trilogy. Getting Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine and in the yellow/blue comic book suit was *chef's kiss*. Sadly, I got spoiled with the "cameos", but they were awesome. I think my favorite scene of the movie has to be Nicepool, "gently tap the fourth wall" *looks at camera* "The Proposal" and Deadpool's response to that was hilarious!
Thing is Deadpool one was such a gem cause it was an origin story and Deadpool 2 was a love story they tried to weave Vanessa in the plot when they should have been more focused on the TVA All in all I understand some people watch movies and if the plot isn’t good then the movie isn’t good but the action and comedy surpasses that although I agree the “higher purpose” sets up Deadpool in the future but that could have came last of the movie was all about Deadpool really messing up the timeline being chased by the tva everything would have made more semse
I think people are underrating this movie significantly. There is a pretty good plot here actually. Is it a little overshadowed by deadpool humour and cameos? Yeah but that’s the point of deadpool. Read the comics. Nothing but humour and cameos and underneath it all is a story. This movie has one, a decently emotional one when you actually sit there and pick it apart
@baker47100 there is no plot and whatever is there does not make sense "why did paradox tell deadpool that his universe was dying while logan is not yet dead" logan died in 2029 not 2024 ( THIS ONLY THINK MAKE THE STORY USELESS )
@@michaelkaggwa4915 the plot is deadpool wanting to be part of something bigger to impress his family to show them that he’s not just a merc with a mouth but someone who is deeply scared yet cares deeply about them. The timing that you mentioned could’ve just easily been an over looked mistake which will more than likely be explained anyways.
The plot wasn’t the greatest and it did have the emotional moments. But not as much as Deadpool 1&2. I felt the emotional aspect in the car scene but that’s it tbh. Regardless I think it’s the best for me since I’m a huge wolverine fan
Thank god someone agreeing with me!! Main problem is story, villain anf shallow characters! Comedy, action and visuals are great ngl but overall its a mid movie! I think better than Deadpool 2 but not top the trilogy! They are more focusing on cameos and fan service rather story
No real plot just a popcorn movie I suppose I really liked part 2 because of cable and the juggernaut bi..ch!! Paradox was not a plot just a comic relief character
I think the new Wolverine should’ve been the X24 clone that kiIIed Logan. It would’ve made him hated by the audience and give an interesting character journey.
it was good and entertaining to me. i don't go in with high expectations i just wanted to see logan and have fun and thats what it was supposed to be. nothing crazy no crazy plot but hey everyone has a right to their opinion
Thought it was funny, the opening sequence was epic, Wolverine wore the suit and mask, so overall I’m happy. Could’ve improved in a lot of places and the void cameos didn’t do a lot for me, but definitely didn’t ruin the movie for me. I’ll probably see it a third time
Honestly i think this is the perfect hangout movie. The comedy and violence is on point for a deadpool movie whilst the story is pretty much non existent and feels added on as an afterthought.
I thought it was a good movie overall, well made, pacing was fine, really funny with a few emotional moments, but the plot lacked imo, I think most ppl went just for seeing Hugh as wolverine but I didn't really like the whole buddy adventure plot, the villain was okay but nothing great and alittle wasted imo, missed having his friends in more of it as they usually play bigger parts similar to ant man 3 it just felt off without them, action was good I just didn't love but I liked it, solid 8/10 for me
Yea people can have their opinions be it bobatalks or hitop films or etc and so forth . This movie for me is what I wanted Dr strange 2 to be which Dr strange 2 didn’t give me that . Deadpool and wolverine was an easy to digest movie a celebration of what came before for fox ,new line cinema wit blade etc. if I had any nitpicks I would just say Cassandra nova was so Op they didn’t know how to take her out so how she went out was disappointing and lastly the void just looked like the name the void barren etc they could’ve added more color or changed it around . Outside of that Great movie I’ll definitely get it on Blu-ray one day for sure. I’m not expecting some Martin Scorsese the Batman , Oppenheimer type ish. This movie is literally a wet dream of fun compared to thrash a mania and Thor love and mid ass thunder and twerking wit ice spice she hulk . Last marvel movie that was good b4 this was guardians 3. Also if anyone don’t like Deadpool and wolverine then u don’t like Spiderman no way home
I had a lot of fun with it but I really hope this is the last movie that is "a love letter" to a bunch of (mostly mediocre) movies from 20 years ago. I don't know how many more times they can have an actor I saw when I was 12 walk out and say the thing and I stand up and clap and say "THEY SAID THE THING". Next deadpool movie just give me a deadpool movie about him and his supporting cast. Give me a stronger plot and character arc. I sound like I hated D&W, I didn't. It was genuinely a really good time, but its the last of its kind I want
It was not great. The first film was the best. Such a basic plot that was not well realised; horrible third act fight sequences; excessive blood/gore without any real payoff (first one was violent too but the sequences were well choregraphs and realised); lots of missed opportunities, Cassandra Nova wasted (I want to see her against the X-Men proper); too full of itself, half the jokes didn't land; generic use of Bye Bye Bye and Like a Prayer (could have used plenty of well-known Canadian songs, including boy bands considering Wolverine and Deadpool characters are both Canadian, Ryan Reynolds and the Director Shawn Levy are both Canadian). Why not put Alpha Flight in this?
If you watched 💚💚the Loki series, this movie will be so confusing cuz they changed a lot of things that was established in that show. Lol. I'm used to Marvel breaking its own rules and not connecting very well sometimes but only if the story and characters are still good. This movie is too many jokes and meta stuff and fanservice and cameos.
Ask yourself this: take away the fan service and is this still a good movie? Movies that rely on fan service are only relevant for a small window of time
I enjoyed the movie but I was expecting it to fully bring mutants to the mcu timeline but it didn’t. It was fun and entertaining but ultimately didn’t matter in the grander scheme of the mcu or even the X-men fox universe. I feel the movie Logan closed out the X-men fox universe and this Deadpool movie brought it back to just end it again.

I honestly don’t know how anyone who enjoyed the first two movies didn’t enjoy this one .
Oh I enjoyed it
Because its not as good as the first two
It's not *nearly* as good as the first two besides some fan service that doesn't do much for the thin plot.
I'm one of those, liked it but didn't love it
@@iziah2161it’s better than Deadpool 2
This is like when a girl gets a Tesla and an ice cream cake on her birthday but then complains she should’ve gotten a Rolls Royce sports car and an ice cream birthday cake with gold sprinkles and diamonds.
Good god
This movie is pure fan service and story was kind Mid
Basically & that's why I didn't 'love' it in a nutshell, all while still being quite entertained and find it enjoyable nonetheless. But for me, a movie that just goes all out fan service without bolstering other areas of what makes up a movie, ultimately isn't something I'd be like 'holy crap man that was INCREDIBLE OMG'. Doesn't mean it's something I dislike though, which oddly seems to be hard for some people to reconcile with.
Don't hold back the plot was generic and the cameos did nothing for me at all

I do think dp works as a grounded low budget comedy action but this one definitely has weaker elements but overall it was so fun like genuinely fun.

He may get a show.

The movie was 8/10 entertaining but the story wasn't cutting it for me.
Full speed ahead for the DCU hype train.
Honestly, this review made me subscribe to you because you’re very honest. I also enjoyed the movie but wasn’t in love with it like everybody else.
I agree with everything you said 😂 you're not alone!!! love your vids❤
Love u boba ...timeline movies have too many loopholes and dont help for relaxed viewing...GO DC ❤
I mean it was filmed during a strike the fact that we even got it is amazing
Did... did we watch the same film?

And personally finally getting Hugh in his wolverine costume finally buddy copping with Deadpool like we all wanted for so long
I see where you are coming from, but I loved the change for once. Seen the movie 3 times lol
I enjoyed it as a Deadpool movie but not as a MCU movie. The multiverse has ruined the MCU.
100% agree with you Boba. thanks for the great review
It's a movie full of cameos and memberberries with a thin plot, edgy crude humor in parts and some good action scenes.
This film was exactly what I expected it to be, it is worth a watch, but maybe more so on D+.
Oh and Wolverine was the best part in it by a country mile.
So
I might be late for the party as this video is from 4 days ago
I always get late to your vids
Anyways
I did loved D&W, maybe not as much as D1 (I didn't like D2 the same as the first either) bit I did loved it
It has its flaws in the plot and some illogical stuff like the dates/years issue (that was my first thought when I saw the movie), but I wasn't there for logic and plotwise
D&W doesn't take itself seriously and we cannot wait for seriousness from a movie about a character that is self aware that is a fictional character, that breaks the 4th wall and makes satire about the very company that is producing/giving money to do a movie about him
It's for entertainment and laugh, and enjoy the action/fights
I wasn't really thrilled by the cameos, they were unexpected, but I was absolutely amazed by Wolverine and this iteration (even though I haven't read the comics I did grow up watching the animated series and the X-Men movies, and I was so happy to see this version on suit)
If I had to rate it It would be an 8/10 (D1 is a 10/10 and D2 is a 7.5/10 for me and my taste)
It was great movie because for that 2 hours I did suspend disbelief, and disconnected from real life (troubles and etc) and spent a wonderful time.
And yes, Logan is in 2029 but Wade's universe is "dying" in 2024... Sooooo I call that a huge plothole
That doesn't change the fact that I did enjoyed and loved the movie (for what it is)
Edit to add: you said Cassandra is a weak ass villain, but Ajax was not great at all, or was he? And, who was the villain in D2?
I think Emma did good performance and it seems she enjoyed doing it.
Again: Sorry for the long take on the matter 😅
And sorry for my English
If people love this they can't complain about the multiverse of madness or the marvels anymore. They both were written way better than this. The bias to forgive the huge flaws in Deadpool and Wolverine is honestly confusing.
@kevinrudy
paradox tells deadpool that his universe is dying because of wolverine who dead " but really wolverine dead in 2029 not 2024" this makes the story useless and confusing
The fact that Deadpool is a rip off of deathstroke and is now more popular than him is crazy to me
Boba I have a friend who used to eat sloppy Joe (meat) with sugar on top of it.
Agreed
I thought it was OK but it didn't move the needle for the MCU so I wasn't blown away at ALL!
The movie was cool but the story sucked and when I left the theater, I felt like I got to see it all but something was missing.
I enjoyed the second one more idk why😂
@baker47100
there is no plot and whatever is there does not make sense "why did paradox tell deadpool that his universe was dying while logan is not yet dead" logan died in 2029 not 2024 ( THIS ONLY THINK MAKE THE STORY USELESS )
Really hoping the next Deadpool solo team up could be a spidey-pool team up movie
I felt the emotion, if you didnt, thats on you
I agree it was fun.but I wasn’t as happy about it as others. Thought I was alone there
Thought it was funny, the opening sequence was epic, Wolverine wore the suit and mask, so overall I’m happy. Could’ve improved in a lot of places and the void cameos didn’t do a lot for me, but definitely didn’t ruin the movie for me. I’ll probably see it a third time
What bothered me the most was how they handled relationship with vanessa
Honestly i think this is the perfect hangout movie. The comedy and violence is on point for a deadpool movie whilst the story is pretty much non existent and feels added on as an afterthought.
I thought it was a good movie overall, well made, pacing was fine, really funny with a few emotional moments, but the plot lacked imo, I think most ppl went just for seeing Hugh as wolverine but I didn't really like the whole buddy adventure plot, the villain was okay but nothing great and alittle wasted imo, missed having his friends in more of it as they usually play bigger parts similar to ant man 3 it just felt off without them, action was good I just didn't love but I liked it, solid 8/10 for me
Boba which was your favorite cameo in the movie? Mine is cavillrine and Channing Tatum's gambit.
Glad to see someone else has the same opinion as me. It was fun but this has no rewatch value and none of the fundamentals of a good movie.

I loved the movie, but I can see how some people didn’t
I had a lot of fun with it but I really hope this is the last movie that is "a love letter" to a bunch of (mostly mediocre) movies from 20 years ago. I don't know how many more times they can have an actor I saw when I was 12 walk out and say the thing and I stand up and clap and say "THEY SAID THE THING". Next deadpool movie just give me a deadpool movie about him and his supporting cast. Give me a stronger plot and character arc. I sound like I hated D&W, I didn't. It was genuinely a really good time, but its the last of its kind I want
I enjoyed this movie it was laugh out loud funny and I liked how it introduced other Deadpool variants I thought it was a good time 👍
It was not great.
This movie is too many jokes and meta stuff and fanservice and cameos.
they didnt change it from loki they started it from the events after loki 2
It's a fun movie but not a "good movie"
Ask yourself this: take away the fan service and is this still a good movie? Movies that rely on fan service are only relevant for a small window of time
I enjoyed the movie but I was expecting it to fully bring mutants to the mcu timeline but it didn’t. It was fun and entertaining but ultimately didn’t matter in the grander scheme of the mcu or even the X-men fox universe. I feel the movie Logan closed out the X-men fox universe and this Deadpool movie brought it back to just end it again.
Honestly this is better then the fox universe ending with “the new mutant’s” 😂 movie
