@friedsugar2701 no. UA-cam is all about watch time and most people don't want to watch a 2 minute intro about what the video is about. If people are exiting the video early or skipping the first 2 mins, UA-cam isn't going to recommend their videos to new people. It's all about the algorithm. Personally, I think it better now that they jump straight into the video
@@Jack-ww9ge I am being subjective, lose their charm and not their views. This is pretty blatantly obvious. "No🙄🤓" I am so tired of seeing lay people analyse youtube channels, youtube content like kids obsessed with youtube careers and not watching/enjoying media.
One of my favourite thing about the Ben vs James battles was James making fun of "oo I have been to Japan, China, India and Vietnam etc" and "I started making it yesterday, 2 days ago or a week ago"😂😂😂
@@swissfoodie3542 Don't comment on other peoples sexuality when you know nothing about it, it's weird to speculate about that stuff when it comes to strangers you don't even know...
Got emotional at the end watching James’ last battle and roundtable after. It’s lovely he is able to keep popping back in occasionally. I also love the different styles and vibe between Ben and Kush (and James, when he’s around), as well as Mike, Jamie and Barry, their chaos, but also witnessing their knowledge and skill evolution over the years ❤ I just love this channel! 🥰
Apparently it's been years, but James calmly and gently putting Barry on the ground remains one of the sexiest and most badass things I've ever seen. And that includes times when I've seen James bake things.
welcome to your newest addiction!! I discovered them when they released their Pass It On Series and have been enamored ever since. I am still going through all of their videos lol I love that they keep them up, cause I reference a lot of the older ones for recipes or a laugh
Ben is so classy. I love that he is always ready to praise people and their food. Maybe a marathon of the funniest travel moment of each trip. Or a marathon of guest chef videos.
I find one of the biggest differences between James and Kush is communication. James just says what he’s going to create and then does it without much explanation of his methods and the why of each step. Kush is a lot like Ben in the way he goes over each step and explains why, teaching all along the way. I love that about Ben and Kush. I’ve learned so much since beginning to watch these guys. 😊
it was around 430 am when I started watching this... dozed off, and the boys wound up in my dream :) Now, to make some breakfast and rewatch properly, lol
What amazes me is how young and cute they looked way back when! Ebbers was quite a hottie, to say nothing of Michael and Jamie 🤩 They have all definitely “matured” since then 😅 as we all do 😢
What was really interesting was to see the progress of better audio/editing- loved the early episode, but the audio was muffled/music too loud compared to the crispness of the newer ones. Great to see not just the cooking improve but the professionalism of the entire channel grow as well.
Pass it on idea. All cooks roll a d12 order highest to lowest. Each cook enters the kitchen , rolls a d12 again and cooks that many minutes. So could be cooking 1 min or 12. Total time could be 5 min to 60 but likely somewhere in the middle.
The uncertain total time drives a lot of risk in. 2d6 would reduce the risk. They each often spend a couple minutes figuring out what is going on. The 2d6 also reduces the risk that someone only has time to figure out what is going on.
Awww, seeing you guys from when you first started, to now, is lovely. Keep up the good work guys, you’re going from strength to strength, and we all love you 😊❤
I really appreciate that you guys started with trying to provide a lot of entertainment in your videos, and I also appreciate that now you're still focused on entertainment but if feels more real, less theatrical for the purpose of being overly theatrical.

So nice to see these. One tip for the soy egg, instead of a weight to hold the egg under the sauce, can just cover the top with a paper towel. the towel will soak up the liquid and ensure the top of the egg has the top coverage without needing a weight (or the space for a weight)
What would be interesting would be to redo the battles where they had to choose between two ingredients but flip them. So Kush would get the hot dogs and Ben would get the octopus etc.
It would be hilarious if they did it in a normal episode. Have the winner pick their ingredients, watch them screw over the other person, _and then make them swap_ 😂😂
I love the memory lane videos at the end of the month! What about a marathon of all your travel videos overseas or even some of your earlier camping video (they always make me giggle when i rewatch them)
An absolute pleasure to have these all back to back. I would love to have a grocery shop/mystery box/chef vs normal video marathon, the videos are so inspiring and make me want to get Sidekicking! Really enjoy seeing the recipe "development" then being able to try the recipes out on Sidekick.
Ah yes What a wonderful display of characters Ben: trying to bribe the guys with chicken nuggets James: Karate drops Baz to the ground 😂😂 I was looking for this ep a wile ago tbh
I enjoy watching Kush but miss James' serious (somewhat) approach to his tasks to balance the lunacy that normally goes on. It made the zingers he did drop even more effective. Still wish he'd not left the show, but glad he's happy with his choice and I'm happy whenever he's able to make a 'guest' appearance.

I'm a homecook myself but I really lack the understanding of different tastes and which to combine in what ways. I think a video where you go through different styles of food (desert, main dish,...) and give detailed explaination would be really helpful.
My wife and I had never seen the first battle in this video between Ebbers and James, and when we saw it, we both had to get Ebbers Squad T-shirts. Ebbers Squad for life!!!
i always loved the continuing bit in the old level up segment where whoever was cooking would go under the bar and get whatever they needed for the garnish followed by 'got a little bakery/butchers/cheesemonger/grocer down there'
Just so you guys know.. Baconayonnaise is a actual store purchase product across the pond here in the states. On one hand it tastes pretty heavy of food processing but still it hits on a primal level when used on sandwiches and such. Thanks for everything.
