  • Australian Army 11 Platoon Kapooka March Out was a video designed to add just a bit more context to what happens at the end of Boot Camp, Kapooka, Basic Training or Recruit Training what ever you may think it's called or means to you globally.
    The Kapooka march out is the culmination of a lot more than a 12 weeks training for many who leave an old life for a new one and for many this is the first big decision made as the step into adult responsibility is made.
    To the families of those that now where the uniform of the Australian Army the Best Small Army in the World you should be very proud of the legacy that is now being forged in your family name.
    The world awaits you and so does your unit so work and prepare hard and welcome to my world we need great people now and tomorrow and Initial Employment Training carry's on only 3 days after Kapooka concludes so be ready for this training to ramp up pretty quickly.
    Although this video was a tribute to Cam nearly 3 years ago it is still just as valid today as it was then changes occur but they are subtle so take heed, Subscribe and tick the bell i am here to help you with advice, morale and fun.
    When attending a Kapooka March Out you will have to be registered by a member marching out and you will need to be at the directed place as early as possible to be signed onto the base by security.
    Enjoy the Journey..

    The Vic my god... that place made a fortune from me. I remember you could order a jug of bourbon and coke with a straw. Lol. Doing the full cocktail list earned me 2 vic hotel singlets. Then it was Jack Daniels tavern Singleton. We also had cars at Singleton I think best thing to have taken them away. Yet how much fun was towing the abandon cars to the 105 recoilless range and 66 rocket range. If you can’t fix it 66 it. They did well no square gating on the march past. Well done. I still miss it all. It’s luggage you hold close to your heart for some of us. Till the end of my days anyway. Congrats to the new blood stand tall and proud. It’s not a job it’s a life choice. Stick with it and grow!!!

    Haha The old Vic Hotel. I got in a dust up with an RI from another Platoon the night before my march out when he started picking on other recruits from my Platoon. My parents were about to arrive as well but I was confined to barracks after the fight and couldn't meet them until the next day after my march out. Nothing more happened to me but the RI got in a heap of shit for being a bully and even drinking at the Recruits pub. Next day I was on a bus for Singo to the School of Infantry. Good times.

      @KemoveRebab 4 роки тому +1

      Long slow distance running brother
      start out with a comfortable pace, ie a pace that you can hold a conversation with while jogging. Try beginning with 2-4kms if youre not used to running. From there, start challenging yourself, time your kilometers and seek to improve your times whenever you hit the track. Its a long process, but youll be seriously proud of yourself when you begin to see results. Best of luck

    Hey cas, after graduating from adfa and rmc, do you automatically go to the corps you enlisted in or is it based on performance at rmc?

    • @KemoveRebab
      @KemoveRebab 4 роки тому +1

      From what I know, you will be allocated into a corps depending on you competency as an LT, they will take into account your corps preferences, but ultimately it will be decided upon your capability as a platoon/troop commader. Obviously, with the more competent cadets being allocated to combat corps/more technical trades

    • @user-vr7im8ih5y

      crack so if you go to adfa and study aeronautical engineering, that doesn’t mean you will be a helicopter pilot.

    • @KemoveRebab
      @KemoveRebab 4 роки тому +1

      @@user-vr7im8ih5y The process for becoming a miitary pilot, be it army or air force, begins far before commisioning. You will undergo pretty rigorous aptitude testing (and when I say rigorous, I mean incredibly hard) to even qualify for the position, and due to the extremely competitive nature of the job, very few peple actually end up actually progressing to pilot training, plus you will be competing with thousands of other applicants.
      So, to answer your question simply, no, just because you go to adfa and study aeronautical engineering does not mean you will become a military pilot.
      However, do not let this discourage you. Aim high, literally. If you have this goal, keep working towards it, being a military pilot is one of the most rewarding careers out there, keep on top of your study and do not lose sight of your dream. Best of luck my friend
