No way I would have figured out how to put that thing back together without your video. Thanks! Probably saving 100s of old washers from the landfill. The Maytag 22004346 out of model #MAV7504EWW works exactly in the same way!
Super helpful man I take apart one and so many things fell out lol I try for sometime to put it back and didn’t know how, thanks. I hope all is will, let the world know how your going
Ahhhhhhh, give thanks! I took the time apart to clean the contacts and all those loose parts fell out. I had no clue as to how they were to align. I spent over an hour flipping them this way and that and sorted it all out except for that one fat lever piece that runs parallel to the one under the big gear. I searched all over the internet for at last another hour looking for a schematic or detailed image of the insides of this timer mechanism and then I stumbled upon your video! Brilliant, you saved me man! Although mine was a Maytag it had pretty much the same thing going on inside it. Thank you!
Looked for a video like this last time my timer broke. Cost $120 two years ago. New timer broke 1/31/15. Now costs $140 from dealer. Thanks to this video, I did not have to buy a new washer. Works perfectly. Not really sure why it didn't work in the first place. I tried to video taking it apart but it did not help at all. Fantastic video, Thanks!!
Great video. Thank you. This was perfect and fixed my washer timer. The part was going to cost more than the washer was worth, but thanks to this video, I fixed it for free.

Good job bud. I'm here because when I push my knob in nothing happens when I turn it. So I just turn the big white ring to get it to work until I can figure out what's wrong with it. Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Forbes....I have a GE washer that I believe has a timer problem.....It seems like the timer indicator knob doesn't synchronize with what's really happening during a wash cycle. For example, a wash cycle will end (motor stops) with the timer indicator knob pointing halfway through SPIN indicator when in fact the indicator should be in the OFF area of the cycle. I am constantly left with wet clothes. Another example: At the beginning of a cycle when the washer begins filling with water, my washer will start to agitate erratically when it should be waiting for the water level to come up to the correct level. Again, I think the timer is out-of-sync. Do you think that taking the timer apart as you have shown could correct my problems? Also, what problems with your GE washer were you experiencing that prompted you to take apart your timer? Were they similar to mine?
Ok, so what prompted me to open timer, was just curiosity. My timer was working well. The problem I had with the washer was a dead motor. Now with the water still in the bucket & clothes remains wet. I believe your drain & pump system is clog. Remove pump & clear system.
7 years later and your video is still the most helpful. Thank you!
