    The room looks wonderful, but I dont know many people that could afford something like this.

      Hi Queen Bee. Yes, I admit this is a luxury most people cannot afford to do. I did however see this room recreated with IKEA hacks.

    Herzlichen Dank für die Tipps. Besonders gut gefällt mir die Idee des zusätzlichen Raumes unter der Tischplatte.

    When we moved into my current home I took over the formal living/dining room combo. It’s just a furniture collector space IMO. We had pocket doors put in. It’s a 20x 15 room that I use as my craft room.

    Could you somehow attach the pegboard system to the wasted space on your magnetic wall? Absolutely love those hidden supply cabinets behind those lovely wooden panels!

      That’s a great idea Martha. I might just do that. Thank you for the tip! You’re a genius 🙌🏼🙌🏼

      Hello. The sink was definitely a “must do”. I use it every day I craft. Have a great weekend

    Thank you for sharing your craft room. It's beautiful. I love the idea of the lifted glass top on your table and all the natural light.
    Have a happy, healthy and crafty 2024.❤

      Hi Teresa. Thank you. I’m so glad you liked the reveal. I looooooovvveee… that table too. Sadly, if we ever moved, I don’t think I could ever take it with me. It’s huge. I think they had to assemble it in the room. 😀

    Wow what a fabulous space! I have a pegboard that I use to display my washi tapes, ribbons and cutting tools.

      That's a great idea Jennifer. Hmmmmm..... now I want to put a peg board up. Where did you get yours from?

    Crafting for me is I make medium sized quilts. I find for myself that I need to see my supplies and in being able to see what I have the intention is that I will remember and use it (fabric, thread etc) of course it has to be tidy and I try to put stuff away when done using them (rulers, rotary cutters, and the scraps of fabric put in bin for sorting later). I have a smaller white board that I have on it a list of future projects, and I see where your metal backed white board is rather big for your liking, but to use instead the area that is tucked out of the way though smaller would be awkward - remember good body mechanics are so important when crafting - and for me out of sight is out of mind. You must have an amazing memory to not have labels on the outside of your cabinets ❣️Myself, I’d be wasting so much time and getting myself frustrated by having to search through all the cabinets trying to find what I needed. 😊
    My one wish, though I am thankful for what I have, would be that my Quilting Room was not in the basement.
    You have a lovely room, I hope you enjoy many hours crafting in it, ❤❤

    Gorgeous craft room. Your idea wall could have been doors to a closet. So I wouldn’t get ride of it, but your doors themselves could have been magnetic.
    I love my IKEA Skadis! Since your Skadis boards are located next to the fold out counters for your kids, I would utilize your Skadis pegboard with more of your kids crafting supplies.

      Great idea!! Margot that's brilliant! Right now my daughter and her friends go through my stash. It would be nice to organize that whole area just from them. Thank you for the tip!

    I use my diy poster frame/magnetic board to display my card creations. If they're in a drawer I forget to go to them when needed. Kinda pointless making cards but not giving them away 😊 And, I get to collect pretty magnets to display the cards 😉 It's become, what I affectionately call, my art gallery wall. Thanks for the tour Christine. God bless you 🙏

      Hi Carolyn . That’s a great idea. I love it! I used to post all my tags on the board, then my kids started using it as a place to write me notes and doodle on. They’re older now and don’t use the board so maybe I can start showcasing my cards and tags on it again. Have a great week!

    I am a function and flow designer by necessity and I agree with you the magnetic wall is not functional but in retrospect you cannot add much storage unless it was inset into the wall because your doors are so large comma love them by the way. I would like a TV but I don't have four walls to work with so totes jelly just have to say. The TV would be used for the virtual crafting with others/events that I can do since I am a 24/7 caregiver. But if I can make a suggestion for your magnetic wall there are spice rack magnetic shelves that I purchased to stick to my refrigerator for my seasonings and they come in white you could get a bunch of those and put them on your wall for color if you wanted. At least that's what I would do with that wall. I love how open and natural lit your space is. I was going to say no pegboard before you said it😂. I just added a showcase space on my cabinet doors. Wonderful layout of the room and you have a sink. Being in the corner of my garage although insulated definitely limits some of my creativity. You have great nice free flow

      @christinemleung  8 місяців тому

      Hi Brenna. Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions. I love the idea of the spice rack. That’s genius! Apparently there is space behind the idea wall for 2 more of those walnut cabinets that I showcased in the video. I might reconsider revamping that part but for now I’m enjoying what I have now. Enjoy the rest of your week! 😀

    Beautiful space! I have three bookcases full of stamps and 4 more that hold my photo albums so I would have removed the TV and put a bookshelf there! ❤ thanks for sharing! 😍

      Hi Brandie! Book cases are by far one of the best options for storage. I can already envision your space of beautiful crafting products. And your albums….. like a “library of life”. Thank you for sharing! Have a great weekend.

      Yes. Thank you Trixy. My craft room is always a mess, so it’s nice to have one area that looks put together and inspirational. It took me days to clean up the craft room for that vid. 😂

    I live in a one bedroom apartment so something like this is not practical for me. I have areas all over my apartment. Not really messy just not in one place. For instance I have a whole kitchen counter that I use strictly for equipment. Because it’s a very sturdy surface. I can also dye paper and use my cutting board in it. But watching this is giving me some ideas.

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  7 місяців тому

      Hi Paula. I completely understand. Before I was blessed with this space, I used to share an office with my hubby and I had a small desk I had to work off of. It’s great that you can spread out all over your apartment. Yes, and having a sturdy table is an absolute MUST! Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend!

    Love the huge glass work surface. My goal is to completely cover my maple wood surface with a glass board. Your studio is beautiful!

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  8 місяців тому

      That would be amazing! You won’t have to keep scraping glue off your wood table. That’s what I had to do with my last table. 😂

    BTW- I absolutely love the sorta disco ball looking silver sphere lights! Also, how do the cabinets up top open? The ladder rail appears to block them.

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  7 місяців тому

      Hi Jennifer. Now that I think of it.... those disco ball lights should have been listed as a " Don't do". LOL They look great but the light from it is very diffuse. That''s why I had to add additional lighting lamps when I record for UA-cam. The cabinets open like regular cabinets and yes, the ladder does get in the way. I have to climb up, and open one side at a time.

    You should put your wood stamps on your pegboard and use the stamp shelves for more storage. I keep all my new products on my pegboard and yes I need to stop buying!

      Hi Ruth. Thank you very much for watching. I can definately see how this space would not serve you. Do you have a designated room for crafting? What would like crafting companies to create to make crafting easier for those who are wheel chair bound?
