Your horn sounds like butter! They sure did know how to build them back then. And it's so neat that they had the original index card with all the manufacturing information. I can tell just from the few videos, pictures and literature that I've seen Vincent Bach that he was the kind of Craftsman who put painstaking detail into every aspect of his horns when he was building them himself. I had a Bach Stradivarius Model 37 when I was in high school in the 70s. It was a good horn but it didn't sound anything like the horn you're playing here. Of course I'm sure your level of Technical and musical skill has a lot to do with that as well. But in all it's an extremely smooth sounding horn.
Sounds great as always Trent! Hope you're feeling better. Loving my 3DS in modern blank I just picked up. Really, exactly what I was hoping it would be. Thanks for all you do for the trumpeting community, man!
Last weekend in San Francisco I purchased serial number 4120 New York Bach model 10-53 M (51 bell gauge). I believe it was manufactured in 1937. What an incredible horn to play! Do you have a resource where I might be able to obtain the shop card for this trumpet? First and second valves are worn slightly, still good compression but will eventually need to rebuild. Recommendations?

The Bach corp does... Please reach out to them.
Hey Trent, is the 25 bell kinda like those classic Meha bells? Wondering what the history of that bell mandrel is.
I personally don't think it's like a Besson bell at all. More like a Conn 2B or 22B bell IMO.
Thank you!
I also own one which serial number is 3145.The model is same.
dB here, if you ever want to sell this horn, please hit me up. dB
